Would love to know if you made the mounting bracket for the bench or where you purchased it? I would also like to see how you actually mounted the cleaner to the bracket. Thank you!!
Yes the mounting bracket is DIY, this was designed to be mounted to whatever! I have seen it mounted to projectors and it cleans when it enters or leaves the projector!
The cleaning devices, the whole desk set up (mechanisms for rewinding and inspecting the film, cutting the film, etc.) hahah Basically everything I see in the video, foreground and background :P
So a good chunk of the stuff is made by Kelmar Systems (Bench, Cleaner) and you can visit their website and view their “film archival” catalogue to find stuff. Film splicers I don’t think are made anymore, check eBay. Also if you want a good company that sells a bunch of stuff try looking up Boston Light and Sound, we use them for a bunch and they are super friendly and helpful’
I see a bottle of Filmguard in the back there. Soak up the pads with that product and you can re-use the pads on the same side over and over and over...
Uh… you have confused me. I’m not aware of anything that size, are you sure it’s 45mmx45mm? It sounds to me you are referring to 6x4.5 film negatives, which means one of the dimensions are probably 45mm but not the other
Where can you purchase all of this stuff? I have been running digital projection for a single-screen indie concert venue/cinema the last 10yrs and want to convince the owners to incorporate 35mm capability.
Yes right before this video the rubber rings started to crack hard, and have since fallen off. I am looking for the replacement and I can give the dimensions once I get them
@@KyleMiko these are standard rubber O rings. I got mine from an industrial supplier. WAY cheaper than going to Kelmar...(ring size: 3 1/2 x 3/16 inch)

@@KyleMiko Any chance you can share the details on that bracket? Dimensions, etc... Thanks.
Can you buy these 35mm film cleaners,...or is the one you demonstrated a home built unit?
They were made by Kelmar Systems. They might still be if you google their company, or possibly buy used!

Is film guard actually magic like ive heard?
@@ericellsworth9852 worth every cent
@@ericellsworth9852Ohh yes. It certainly is.
Can you recommend a film cleaning device that is suitable for 35mm single frame negatives measuring approx 45mm x 45mm?

The measurements I gave are just an approximation. I am referring to single frame 35mm negatives.@@KyleMiko

I love that idea! Which stuff in particular?
very helpful..thanks
This device probably scratches the surface of the film well? Это устройство наверное хорошо царапает поверхность фильма?
Film pretty tough stuff! Hope the Bane nightmare has ended for you!
`Great video but the Bane mask is totally unnecessary.
Haha yeah I am required to wear a mask even if nobody else is in the booth
@@KyleMiko End of days!
Это точно, не нужна эта маска в данном случае!
tell your boss to spend the 5 bucks for new tires for the cleaner. Nothing damaging the film.....yup....

Thanks for the details! Yes I was aware these are standard but the dimensions really help!
