Thanks for your honest review. One of the things I have found about non-clay letters is that they are inconsistent in performance and smell from one time to the next. Consistency is necessary and a fair expectation when you depend on the product. The first bag of worlds best cat litter was great, but the second really had a funky smell ….there was nothing “wrong” with the bag, so it came from the company like that which means a whole batch smelled that way. At the cost of these alternative litters, consistency is one thing we,as consumers, should be able to depend on.

Wow! I'm surprised. I've been using Swheatscoop for over 20 years. I have two family members who started using it after I did, and they still both use it. I never scoop urine clumps out right away due to it needing take time to clump. I've had so many friends who were surprised I had cats due to not smelling my litter boxes, so that's a plus. I'd much rather use a non-chemical clumping litter, so tracking is a not an issue.
I tried the multicat unscented kind and I had a disappointing experience too. For me, the clumping was pretty good (but not perfect) and there was no dust. It did track on the floor, but I had a mat in front of the litter box and it kept most of it off the floor. The biggest problem I had was the smell, it didn't mask the odor. It made my laundry room smell like urine. I covered the discarded litter in baking soda, but that didn't help. I appreciate your review, sounds like we had similar experiences!
I use this litter and don't have much issue with it. I have used a variety of flushable ones and some clumped so hard that their clumps were like rocks that would clog your toilet. This clumps "softly," as you described which if you don't scoop every day (which I don't) will hold together well enough but then fall completely apart in the toilet, which I wanted. It's not a perfect litter, but I have been using it with no big complaint for about a year. I find that after you scoop, and then you add more litter, the urine smell is better handled.
Which Brands did you use that clump hard rocks ?
I had the same experience with this in terms of the smell and pee clumps breaking up into tiny pieces. What litter are you using now?

My experience with this is pretty different. I got very little tracking compared to clay litter and no hint of urine smell. My only complaint with it is that for some reason my cat doesn't like to bury his droppings when he uses this litter. I'll probably switch for that reason when my first bag runs out in a week or so, but thats obviously dependant on the cat in question and not on the litter itself. I think the issue may be that its too fine.

Not just a bad batch! I had a similar experience. My kitty ate it too lol 😅 Also the clumping and tracking of it was bad👎🏻
Your litter box is very small , l have 3 cats as well but using a larger box with very high sides and a big scatter mat to catch excess. Tks for the review.

I didn’t show it. But it ended up on our desks 🤢 because it’s so small and light it wedges in their paws

You're worried about the tracking? Any soft wood litter or any litter that has a soft texture to it is going to be susceptible to tracking. Lol.

This cat liter sucks. I didn't have a problem with odor but I found myself scraping waste from the bottom of the liter box.
I hated this one so much. Barely clumping.
