I have a regular cat litter box and it has a filter on it but I've NEVER had mold grow on it. That's so bizarre. I can only think that maybe one of your cats peed on it or something (high peer maybe?) because mold only grows on "wet" areas so it's really odd for it to get so moldy after only 2 months. Thank you for covering all the details about cleaning it though that a lot of other reviews don't mention. Not being able to clean under that grate angers me lol I hate not being able to clean every nook and cranny. Also seeing you opening it and all that sand in there just seems like it causes more work than using a litter pan liner and just giving a regular box a quick spray. With all the issues it's having (and I saw a lot of complaints on reddit including it cycling while a cat is in there) it doesn't seem like it's worth the value. I have a peace of mind cleaning my box for 2 cats twice a day knowing I won't have to play tech support or cleaning a giant globe inside my bathtub.
thanks for a thorough review, esp for the cleaning. i have the petsafe automatic one and although the litter is expensive, the cleaning is minimal. i wanted to get another automatic litter box but it looks like i might stick with another petsafe one since i'm so lazy with cleaning 😆
Interesting product. I definitely don't think it sounds worth the hassle though. I think it takes me maybe 5m/day to scoop out my generic plastic boxes. Have to agree, and thank you for reviewing that Sustainably Yours cat litter a while back. I ended up trying that out after seeing your video and wow, what a game changer! That litter is amazing!
Could you please review the Leo's loo too and compare it with the litter robot while using a natural litter please. My cats are allergic to clay and I'm debating between the 2 automatic litter boxes 🙏🏼
When I got mine, I didn't really know how much litter to fill in. The app did not show the correct status either (always said, "low"). Of course, I filled in too much then. So I put in a clean waste bag and let it run a few cycles until no more clean (excess) litter was put into the waste bin. I saved the clean-litter bag for refills and replaced it with a new one. Now the app displayed "optimal". This way I learned how much litter to put in.
Wow 2 times a week I add about 1-2 cups of litter a day. Members Mark from sams club. I use less then a bucket a month. And by adding a little everyday I think IMHO it keeps the LR4 cleaner!! That clicking noise when it runs is not normal, mine is silent! And litter sticking to your cat I am sure that is your litter choice again I do not have this issue!
I love the delivery bots. First one I saw real life (not on NHK: Tokyo to the World: ﾄｷyおいレコｇにぜ異ｔオンlyインかんじはんじ。招き猫。) was at eastbound bustop for #14 Beverly Blvd. I believe it was "Luke." Then the Thunder と電 came from south very fast. And the お雨 hurtled down on us. More in てぇ まんが。

Can you PLEASE write a review for Popur X5? I know it’s not the top of the line but I feel like it look east to maintain.
the pet snowy + is so small inside. But some people love it. I don't see how it can be comfortable for a cat to turn around in unless they are a very small breed.
i use this same litter and had this model for almost a year. I think the odor control is not that great *compared to a diaper genie*, they added a feature where you can add pet profiles for your cats, but the app has always given me issues. I also had issues with the litter sticking to the base of the litter robot when rotating and would not go in the waste bin on its own. The robot would also stop midway but once i updated the robot, it fixed the issue. I don't think its worth the price, but it does a descent job.
@@SvenandRobbie It might be due to the fact that maybe my cats don't bury their litter as much, but i also never had issues with the litter overflowing even though i would put more litter than the line guide. I also use large grain (Sustainably Yours). It clumps well but sometimes it sticks as a solid to the base.
Two brands of sand for litter boxes that I use never have order problems at all. I even had removed the carbon filter from the generic plastic litter boxes.
I know you mentioned trying 2 different litters but I didn’t really see a regular clay, clumping litter. I’m just wondering if you might have had a better experience if you used either the Litter Robot Litter or one that is very similar.

Great review. However, it is too pricey for me and I don't like the idea of cleaning that monstrosity. A basic litter pan is so much easier. Not perfect of course. No system is!
DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT. It is straight garbage. Constant motor faults , constant sensor errors and updating the firmware bricks it every time. Going in my third one this year. Thank god for the extended warenty

I’ve NEVER had Issues with odors! I use hardball litter. For me It’s been a dream.
If you fill too much litter it does throw excess litter in wast bin, always fill lower that line

What about their customer service, heard it was bad like as in non-existent, what are your thoughts?
They answer pretty quick through email , but hard to get on the phone
I have had excellent customer service experience when I’ve used them. And with that I probably jinxed myself.

Weirdly enough I received mine today and it doesn’t even have that filter in the top where you can put those odor traps in
Also the LR 3 rarely has issues with the cycle and operates as expected pretty much all the time.

My litter robot 4 spends the majority of the time in an error mode. The 3 is a better model.
I have found that the hood is not on right. It's very finicky!! Hubby has the technique down, I just can't do it!
