Just thinking about the hospital at the top of the incline - what a great place to convert into a hotel for railway enthusiasts if it had still be standing....
Loved the fact the Class 47 on Load 13 was faster than the Class 50 on Load 11. The poor little Class 31 on Load 6 struggled. But I assume the Bubble Car was on a stopping service without a run at the hill, because she was worst of all.
Always fun guessing the date of your videos... I don't think this is later than 1987 because that was the last year that class 50s were a regular sight between Bristol and Birmingham. Also quite a lot of the coaches in the video are still blue/grey and no swallow version of the InterCity livery. So I'm going to guess this is either 86 or 87.

Isn't there more horsepower in a Class 47 than a 50?
Very good!
Thanks

87 I believe
Lovely stuff.
My grandparents lived in Burcot for years, about 200 yards from Vigo bridge. Guess where I spent my time when we visited!!!
