Media: Im GoNnA PrEtEnd I DiDnt SeE ThAt OnE
Right SMH
If I could give two hearts I would. Spot on.
Headline reads... “Cop snatches newborn from mother and beats infant while mother screams for help.”
Edit: did not scroll through comments first... apparently everyone understands the media at this point smh
I hate to sound like a grandad but im only 14... most news articles focus on bad things literally never good stuff i will never know why :p
unfortunately true most of the time these days. that is why most people believe that police officers are mostly bad instead of the truth which is completely the opposite.
That mother was so afraid, but the officer reacted perfectly.
When I watched the video the thing that really stuck out to me was the mothers helplessness and sheer panic. I can't even imagine being in her shoes. Once you have kids of your own it totally makes sense.
@@officer401 you don't need kids of your own for it to make sense.
@@officer401 the panic tears, then the relief tears when she heard the baby cry... idk which one hit me harder.
A real professional right there
We also have to understand that this isn't even the main job for policemen, same with that other video of the officer saving that guy in the burning car. These acts show how human 99%+ of officers really are
Cool under pressure ✔️ Wears a mask ✔️ Cape...in progress
Cape bad idea. Gets stuck in jet engines.
"Police Officer Touches Baby Without Consent, Was Charged With Death"
without consent😂
😂
“Charged with death”
Anon Omus excuse me wtf
Sir, I think this makes you a godfather.
Right person, right place, right time.
I hope I get to see a picture of the officer and child together ten years from now. That'd be cool af.
@@officer401 I completely agree. It's what my friend calls "A warm fuzzy moment." She would dig this story and would agree that we need more of this. Especially right now.
Thank you for posting this, 401. Be safe and stay well brother!
officer401
Yes, that would truly be amazing and a wonderful story 👍👍
Best comment ever. 👍 to you.
@@officer401 like the one of the girl that was saved from a fire?
Media Outlets: "I'm going to pretend I didn't see that."
Inside edition has it on there UA-cam channel
This dude needs a raise and some stripes🙏
I agree. I can tell from his demeanor he's probably a senior officer. Most new guys aren't that calm on a chaotic scene.
You wouldn’t believe some of the comments I saw about this how “the cop shouldn’t have done that and waited for an ambulance “ 🙄 some people just can’t be happy
It's a stupid world out there.
Really? That’s ridiculous!
I learned a long time ago that people are going to hate you regardless of who you are as a person just because you wear a uniform. That's why we do this job without consideration of armchair quarterbacking opinions.
officer401 well said my friend.
If you're first aid certified you're trained to rescue babies with CPR.
The cop is doing his job. Anyone who doesn't know that can be disregarded as uneducated.
I used to hate cops when I was younger. And that was until I got a law enforcement prospective of things, [Live PD,cops, and people like you who help break down situations and tell things that most people never knew about law enforcement] I began restricting myself from listening to the media yap this and that, because we all know that most networks are here for ratings. I did my own research on situations like this and continue to follow up with people like you. After awhile I just thought to myself "Damn, just imagine if I got a debate with the same mindset I had before, I would be screwed over." If I had a child, I wouldn't raise him to always belive in one political side or one belief all the time. I'd teach my child to respect people no matter what they are, even if they dont like/believe what they belive in or do, respect is really important in life.
I just want to thank you and other first responders for dealing with situations that some people cant deal with. Please stay safe :)
Thank you buddy! I'm glad you changed your outlook and are more open-minded than most people that hate cops. Kudos to you.
You sir, are the definition of what america should be. We should be able to see the other side of things, not just a complete one sided narrative
Never hated LEOs in my life
This is probably the most respectable comment I’ve seen in months! 🖤
How come you used to hate cops? Like what started it?
Definition of a professional. All thanks to this LEO.
Being medically retired military, now fire rescue. Nothing is more satisfying than saving a life.
Fantastic comment
We will never see this video on any major media outlet because it makes officers look good. So unfortunate, this man doesn't get the credit he deserves.
exactly the major media networks only tell about the bad things and if an officer is doing his job and it has a bad outcome they blame the officer for the outcome not the other person. take atlanta for example, the guy took the officer's tazer and pointed it at the officer. the officer shot and ultimately killed him as a result and the media blamed him for doing his job because he did not know what was going to happen next. the officer perceived a threat and took action to eliminate that threat. it was not a situation where the officer had time to think, he just acted and it ended badly for the subject but if he had not stolen one of the officer's tazer's it would not have happened the way it did
The hysterical screaming was one thing to block out but when she grabbed the officer's arm & shook it that's really staying focused on the crisis. Great job by the officer. ☮💟
In at least 2 cities that I’ve lived, parents take an infant cpr class prenatally. So they can be prepared for this type of situation. I think it should be mandatory for all new parents along with basic first aid. Thoughts from a retired RN...
Had to go way too far for this, sometimes its too late to call someone and you need immediate attention.
I totally agree, it should be mandatory.
This!!
I agree with it being available for those who want it and high encouraged but the last thing we need is the government forcing free citizens to do it or anything else for the most part. Think about it. When you give them the power to enforce these mandatory rules then freedom will be gone
@@seththomas1119 I see where you’re coming from. It’s difficult when it’s a health issue. Right now, parents must have an infant car seat & be able to install it correctly & strap their baby in correctly before they bring baby home from the hospital. Not sure if it’s a government mandate or even if it’s at every hospital. There are other laws concerning safety that have saved countless lives. But I agree that it would be nice if every person could be educated & responsible to protect themselves, their children & others without any intervention. The government hasn’t made smoking illegal & we all should know by now tobacco is an out & out killer. You can ask my dead momma about that. Sorry, I’m still a bit touchy about that... So, where does government stop? I don’t know. But if these laws greatly decrease morbidity & mortality? Any ideas?
i have been in the same situation about 2 years ago my little brother stop breathing in the middle of the nigth, we did not knew what happened to him, so we called 911. in less than 5 minutes one police officer came and help us until the ambulance came and took him to the hospital.
since that day i want to be a police officer
Oo I'm early, but this officer did an amazing job, if only news actually would show this rather than the few bad ones which creates these bad stereotypes..
Inside edition has it on the UA-cam channel and they are news
Well, they don't make money off of good stories. Only the terrible ones that come along every now and again.
fun bass yes one of the reasons why I watch inside edition they don’t always push race. They report good cops and bad cops and they don’t usually give someone’s personal opinion. They report it how it is
Yea that’s true, forgot about inside edition showing this. Everyone always gives them a hard time
The problem is not the media, but the consumers already. You can show them 1000 videos like this and they'd say: "that's his job, he gets paid to serve people".
Somehow it only applies to police, cause firefighters and paramedics are still heroes for them.
My daughter was 3 weeks old when she had an allergic reaction to my wife's milk. She stopped breathing and lost consciousness a Sheriffs Deputy was first on scene he jumped out of his car and started working on her and had her breathing quickly it took the fire department and EMS 5 more minutes to arrive. She was airlifted to the Children's Hospital and he saved her life. Later we found out that his report glossed over the fact that he saved her and with the help of his Lt and bodycam footage he received his second lifesaver award (in 6 months) that my wife and I were able to give to him. After talking to him I found out he was a Navy Corpsman who worked in labor and delivery. He is a hero in my family's eyes and an amazing person.
Aww I would of freaked out like that too. I’m so glad he saved her life. Thanks 401! That was incredible it takes a strong person to keep your cool like that.
Incredible! Much respect for Law Enforcement
I’m so glad the officer was there. Thank you lord for that officer.
@Blake Jme Seriously do you think you "gotem" or "roasted him" for believing in God? God is a good thing. You wouldn't know that. You're too stuck up your own ass to consider anyone else. Enjoy your 80 years on Earth while everyone else gets eternity.
Blake Jme why the hell does it matter to u
It's almost like the officer didn't care about what race/ethnicity the victims were. This one got me a little choked up. Well done. Now let's defund them and teach them a lesson.
They never do dude, there are racist cops OF COURSE LIKE IN ANY OTHER FUCKING INSTITUTION but jesus people expect cops to be angels of some sort
overall i find them to be really nice people
Hahahahah oh shit this was great!!
Huh??
@@tigresmom5654 It's sarcasm, Mary....
Because 99 percent don’t
I believe that it would be difficult to find another Officer that is so calm, caring and professional in the face of the unresponsive newborn baby and the devastated mother.
The Officer let's nothing distract him from the vital action of saving the baby's life, which he does with methodical techniques and the utmost humanity.
The poor mother genuinely thought that she was going to lose her beloved baby, and even when the Officer confirmed that the baby was blinking, breathing and responsive, the mother couldn't overcome her sense of loss.
BLM would doubtless demand that the Officer be charged with assault for the force he used to dislodge the obstruction blocking the baby's airway!
This Officer should get an award and recognition for saving the life of the most vulnerable member of society.
When I worked at the local Goodwill as a bus driver. We were given a course on first aid, CPR and the Heimlich maneuver. I was given a well packed first aid kit to keep in my bus. Fortunately, I never encountered anyone who was injured. I have to give credit to that officer who knew what to do and saved the baby.
As a father this brought tears to my eyes😭😭😭🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼thank god for that officer/HERO👮♀️
This right here is what proper policing, funding and training provides. This is what needs to be made future proof, well done officer 😊
We really need to make pediatric CPR something that gets taught in the hospital before taking a baby home. Thank goodness the police officer knew what he was doing, I’ve seen videos of other police officers that were not administering good back blows. I’d definitely buy em a beer 🍺
Been in that same situation with my daughter, training kicked in and it was surreal after she started crying because I did too.
Calm, cool, and collected . . . that's the way a veteran cop handles life threatening incidents. Bravo!
I saved my 2 year old from chocking just two weeks ago. I’ve been through a lot of CPR classes through out my life due to my job and I am so glad I was there when it happened. Had my wife called 911 just in case I wasn’t able to help him and my wife completely froze on the call.
This man deserves a medal. He is the epitome of everything we need in a police officer today
the mother being all hysterical really does not help(but it is understandable), that begin said that officer did an amazing job, we need more stories like this
This officer was amazing - another example of excellence!!!
wow. as a parent, this drew tears to my eyes. Very well done! In situations like this, it's VERY hard to keep your cool. I'm just watching this, and getting emotional. again, very well done!
That cop is bloody awesome, hello from the land down under.
This very thing happened to me. I'm glad the mom in my situation was much calmer I'm not leo but I'm aux. Fire and rescue first responder. Situations like this make up for all the things that cause PTSD. Love and respect to all who serve
Going through a emt course now and planning to move to full time officer (I am a volunteer now) makes me more confident that I can people with my emergency medical training to help save lives no matter where I am.
This officer was amazing. He kept his cool while everyone around him lost theirs. We need to see more of these stories. I hope they got the mother some medical treatment. She looked like she was having a serious anxiety attack and was having difficulty breathing. As a parent it is sometimes difficult to control one's fears when your child is hurt or in danger but that is a parents job.
This is what the media doesn't see. Officers genuinely do care and it's fucking horrible to see them portrayed in such a dark light. Thank God this man was here at the right place at the right time.
Damn fine job! Kept his professionalism and handled business like a boss!
The first officer on scene was cool like Fonzi....... Took charge and got the little girl breathing again,
Thanks for posting this 401.....there is very little good out in the real world these days, it was refreshing to watch this. Good on him for being able to perform in a stressful situation.
Spoiler Alert: 18 years from now the officer will be invited the Childs graduation where she announces her commitment in life to become a humanitarian leader in the development of police and public interaction that will help drive out the problems of today and tomorrow.
Now imagine what would've happened to that baby if cops didn't exist.
THE perfect officer for a situation like this (and many others).
So very calm,calm voice,calm demeanour.
So very well done
Hats off to that officer, this is why i love and support all police
And this just show us how important the police is for all of our safety and survival in extraordinary cases like this. This officer showed all of us what saving a life is all about. GODSPEED to you all. 👮♂️🚔🇺🇲🙏🥰👼
Congratulations to the The Police man who saved this baby's life good job God-bless you
Reasons cpr training is so important, great job officer
that's what the news doesn't show you
Yep, it probably wasn't even on the NEWS.
I think it would be more accurate to say "....what the news WON'T show you." It's all about narrative (a.k.a. Storytelling), and this
doesn't fit their narrative!!
It was on inside edition tho
@@nicksoloroblox6865 Thanks. I did not know that. But the Network News outlets would probably never show this because the LEO is (gasp!!) white.
That guy deserves a medal. Great job! These situations are why I want to be a police officer.
He's a fucking hero.
The amount of calm he had and projected is absolutely amazing. Definitely the right person at the right time - I’m so glad for everybody involved that he was there for them when they needed help so badly. ❤️❤️❤️
Thank you for sharing this! We need people to see that there are more good cops than bad. I stand with the police! Blue lives matter!!!!
That was absolutely amazing. This officer is a hero and he should be awarded!! I worked as First responder EMT for 20 years unsalaried and I know it is so hard to remain calm and just do your work when a baby or child is involved. The officer reacted so calm and with so much dignity. And this while the babies mom was crying so badly. That's what always got me most, the crying and screaming from moms and children. But it was worse when a child was absolutely quiet. 😥 A huge thank you to this officer and I take a bow for you ❤️
So grateful for this police officer. I recently became a member of the Police Explorer program at the department the officer is from.
as a new mom this is one of my worst fears. I know how to do CPR for adults, children and infants but I honestly probably couldn't keep calm if it came to my kid. If god forbid this ever happened to us, I pray the officer that gets there is as calm and level headed as this one. Good job officer!
1st child is always a learning curve.
Thank you to that officer for all he did for this family and love to him
Wow, what a hero! Great job handling the situation
What a wholesome officer, I hope he becomes a father, he would be a great mentor and an awesome dad, god bless
My hat's off to Officer Maciejewski. He is a credit to all officers. He was able to help the baby, and keep calm, and that is a credit to his training.
My department actually paid to certify 14 officers as EMTs. I loved it, I was usually the first responder on scene by many minutes and the training helped on and off duty. For those who can get any medic training I highly recommend it, you wont be sorry you took it
1:45 "SHE???" **looks at guy**
had me DEAD for some reason 💀 😂 🤣
Amazing video. Have been applying to different law enforcement positions for the past 9 months and recently just had an interview. Within the small department in Oregon I applied to, they had over 800 applications for Police Officer 1; about two hundred through their website and 500-600 through government jobs. Makes me incredibly happy in these times to see the silent majority coming out in droves and wanting to be in law enforcement positions!
Cool calm and effective. Major respect
I cried this is so beautiful. Just a man doing his job. Yet a hero for generations to come.
This is why i love police in the US and im not even American!!!
Officer stayed calm and collected. Great job.
That second officer that pulled up looked like Mr 401 for a second
He saved that babies life. I'm in Michigan and it was all over the news here. All positive.
I have a tip for the major news networks. If you want to stop "police brutality", then show the amazing things officers all over the country do every day.
PLEASE find an infant/child CPR class if you have or work around children. They often have many free (no certification) courses at community centers, fire departments, etc. We took one when I was expecting, and it was so reassuring to learn how to respond in the event of a choking emergency with my future infant. It is 100% worth it!! Great job officer!
So nice to see this stuff when all the negativity is being spread. Thank you, all of you.
Woah. That stressed me the hell out just watching. That officer was God sent.
I have seen so many videos of officers who have remained stone cold calm and professional in so many trying circumstances. A great shout out to them.
This is what the media and the masses don't wanna show. I wish more of this was shown, this officer is a hero. It's for good officers like this, that police all around the world have my love🤙
this is why we need cops
This is just another reason, of so many reasons, we need police. They step in and help while everyone else is just panicking and losing their damn minds. That officer is an absolute hero! 👍
Right place right time..........for someone with just a bit of training. The office was a BADASS!!! Everyone should have some basic med training
I wish the media showed more of this type of call rather than only showing the police in a bad light. Great job on this officer!
On a side note, this is one of the many reasons people, especially parents, should learn first-aid, and to keep updated on the latest methods.
That officer did an AWESOME JOB.
Wow.. if this don’t make you tear up with joy... man! This was a job well done!
Makes me so glad I spent so many years in a red cross building listening to my grandma's instructor, instructor lectures. Modern first aid is a training shame. Would be emt training now a day's. Medical training can't be underestimated..
One word: HERO
This officer did a great job with this baby! He saved it's life.
That cop was calm and cool. That discipline is amazing
Brought tears to my eyes seeing that woman go through the most terrifying thing a person can go through.
I love cops🙏
So much!
Love how he was exiting the cruiser asking how's the baby literally as he put it in park. He's moving real fast, but staying so calm. Impeccable training.
My husband is looking at me strangely cause I'm literally sobbing with this mother. Thank God for this officer!
I trust you weren't as hysterical
@@aewhatever ha! No.
Wow, this was intense!
Geesh, when the baby cried, I dropped a few tears too.
Such an amazing experience for this mom and a heroic officer!
👮🏻♀️🍼💗
That cop was cooler than the other side of the pillow. Straight G.
Thats why I love and respect law enforcement 🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🤝🤝🤝🤝🤝
I salute that Officer! Well done! True Hero!
Thank you for your service 401!!
Thank God for the officer even tho u said the baby was fine I still was like holding my breath waiting to hear the little fellow cry. God bless all
Had twins back in Jan, boy and girl. My son was turning brown because he wasn't holding oxygen levels high enough... I watched professional staff escalate the next steps and then the next steps after that.. seemed like hours but it was only ten mins or so..... I'll never forget that feeling of not being able to do anything and scared of the worst....
Love and Light to this family...
Just try to think how freaking quick he reacted and how fast he and his collega came.
Well done!
This man is a stud!!! I work as a medic/deputy and we have professionally trained medics that can't stay that calm.
God bless him!!! I wouldn't have been able to stop thanking and hugging him! He is a true hero!!!!! People need to realize that officers face a variety of tense, life threatening, frustrating, and critical situations. Yes, there are bad cops like there are bad doctors, teachers, etc. We are all human and it hurts to see how officers are being judged, accused, and abused, especially for cases they were in the right with anyway!
jesus, that poor woman. you can tell she's a mom who genuinely loves her baby and cares about her health. I'm so glad they called 911 and got that officer. that kind of shit can pop up out of nowhere. I was lucky as a child, because I apparently started choking on something (I don't remember if it was pills I got into or a penny or what) but my older brother had literally just learned that day in elementary how to do the heimlich. Apparently he found me and properly did the maneuver and saved my life. I don't really remember any of it because I was so young but that's what I remember being told of the story. I wasn't an infant but it just goes to show how freaking important it is to have someone calm and knowledgeable in those immediate first moments, to literally make the difference between life or death. I hope that poor woman doesn't have panic attacks the rest of her life worrying that something like this will happen again :( god that's awful...
Saved a life like it’s nothing. They do this every day. I will never understand why police never get the respect they deserve. Shout out to the officer his actions were amazing.
I'm considered cool and calm under pressure but this officer is an iceberg!!
Good on him.
When I younger I had a f the police attitude simply because I was young and dumb, I'm older now and I no longer have that point of view, the police have always been necessary always will be. Sure there are and have been a few a hole cops that have no business having that kind of power over anything. But there are so many more that are really truly trying to improve thier communities that go above and beyond. But it's rare to hear about, thanks to all the Leo's and first responders for keeping us safe even in a time where people are calling for defunding police. My thought on police is the same as a fire arm. I would rather have police and not need them than need the police and not have them.
