The Glass Spider Tour really deserves re-evaluating. This show's versions of Rebel Rebel, Jean Genie, Sons of the Silent Age, Fame and Time are absolutely epic.
Saw one of these shows in Hamburg, Stadtpark. It was kind of a farewell tour. Bowie claimed to play these tracks for the last time live and then to start something new. In all honesty and despite being happy to have seen him live once in my life and despite that Bowie is always great: a lot of what he did earlier and a lot of what he did later is way more interesting. He felt a bit lost and uninspired during the mid to late 80s. Nevertheless nice to have the chance to re-watch a part of these gigs.
@@dirkpehrke9909 ...I went to this tour as well , I've been a Bowie since I was about 14, I'm 59 now and I agree except I'll say this era is less inspired as it was horrible lol.

I miss you old friend @David Bowie. I went into the city because my girlfriend was going through something difficult. She loved Bowie, but she also knew I kept my life and worlds separated, so she respected me. Unlike many others, I want proof and shove it; I never offered to take her to a show as a guest. Certain friends respect me and things I will and will not share to date. I knew someone she loved walked in due to the sight on her face, but I thought no way in a living hell of all places I don't even know this pub nore you. I looked over. It was anything but packed; it was quiet other than the music. It was David Dave, aka Bowie. I live in N.Y. raised born, or the Tristate area, so it's never shocked me or impressed me who one may run into. He ordered a drink, looked at me, and smiled, hand up a bit as hello ( I lost count of how many of his shows I attended), and my girlfriend kicked me as if I needed that. I knew his look and gesture, so I excused myself and said please don't faint, or I will be embarrassed. I will always remember the words we spoke and how he looked. I knew something was right. See, if you know anything about me, you'd know I never say Goodbye unless it is the finale or I am at a funeral. So many know never to say those words to me I have lost too many and that is what I related it to. As he had a brief liquor and was leaving, Dave came over (my poor girlfriend was holding it together like a tree in 100mph winds), Kissed my forehead, said hello to her, and said listen to me clearly; Kiddo, do not change for a soul you're a good girl human being Helen was right before she passed.
