David was such an incredible talent..... A lyricist, musician, actor, song writer, and of course an unbelievable entertainer. He had more talent in his pinky than all of the so called musicians of today combined.
David Bowie was awesome. He made amazing music, he refused to conform to stereotypes of gender, he spoke out about how black musicians are treated unfairly and he was all around a really nice guy. I wish I could have met him. I don't usually cry over the deaths of celebrities, but he was the exception
Oh puhlease! What's there to be mad about??? There are too many good music out there from the beginning of time that even if you to listen to each one once you will still take a while before the next round ... every generation have their own music...but the great ones get replayed more.
@@rc.... Sorry Buddy, but not every generation can enjoy such high skilled singers / performers/ songwriters. I mean : there's no Proust or Einstein at each generation. Don't fool yourself. This guy was great at such a level that any today's popular singer would just dream to be as creative, influencial, respected, surprising as him. I like todays singers. But I hear and I see just nice things. Just check by yourself and get interested into that man's career
For probably the last 20 years(at least) i've not had to set an alarm in the morning. I waken up with a song or a tune playing in my head, random songs, some of them i don't even like. For the last 4 or 5 days it's been this song. No reason for it, i haven't listened to Bowie for quite some time, it's just a song which has popped into my head for some random reason, and what a song. So i've had to come to youtube, specifically to find it. It's majestic, a special piece of song writing from an absolute master.
My favorite Bowie song. It's a song that always cheers me up. A light mustard suit with an undone bow tie. Cannot be dressed more classy and modern at the same time. Bowie is COOL made a person!!! ❤🤩
David Bowie has been my hero and my own star since I was in middle school. I love him and commemorate him. - In Korea, it is written by a 52-year-old man. - One day in July 2022.
What do people think about David Bowie accepting the flowers from a fan and seconds later giving them to another fan? To me it seems like he took the flowers to give that fan fulfillment, appreciated the flowers for those few seconds and gave them to another fan to make them happy because he is a giver who already has so much that he would rather make someone else happy if he can. David Bowie made this gesture classy.
Here are the lyrics: I know when to go out And when to stay in Get things done I catch a paper boy But things don't really change I'm standing in the wind But I never wave bye-bye But I try I try There's no sign of life It's just the power to charm I'm lying in the rain But I never wave bye-bye But I try I try Never gonna fall for Modern love walks beside me Modern love walks on by Modern love gets me to the church on time Church on time terrifies me Church on time makes me party Church on time puts my trust in God and man God and man no confessions God and man no religion God and man don't believe in modern love It's not really work It's just the power to charm Still standing in the wind But I never wave bye-bye But I try I try Never gonna fall for Modern love walks beside me Modern love walks on by Modern love gets me to the church on time Church on time terrifies me Church on time makes me party Church on time puts my trust in God and man God and man no confessions God and man no religion God and man don't believe in modern love Modern love walks beside me Modern love walks on by Modern love gets me to the church on time Church on time terrifies me Church on time makes me party Church on time puts my trust in God and man God and man no confessions God and man no religion God and man don't believe in modern love Modern love Modern love Modern love Modern love Modern love Modern love Modern love Modern love Modern love Modern love Modern love Modern love Modern love walks beside me Modern love walks on by Modern love walks beside me Modern love walks on by Never gonna fall for Modern love Modern love
This is the Bowie I first met, watching MTV on a Saturday afternoon in the 80s. This song and Blue Jean (a few years later) were my favorites. It would take another 30 years for me to go deeper into his discography and find classics like Starman and Heroes. What a legend.
This man is the definition of a true artist! His characters, his voice, his style. All of it screams artist! What i would have given to seen him live!!! ❤
Cant believe David Bowie sings this one. For years I thought another person was the author of this one. I cried so hard realising how virtuoso he was. I miss him badly. ❤️
This song encapsulates my time growing up in the '80's....It touches my soul with a ghostly haunt whenever I hear it...What an Era!!!.....'80's were the BEST!!!
He has such creative range and vision in video, natural gift to bring the lyrics. His song "ashes to ashes" show his creative aspect not seen today, he said 90% singer voices are altered now. I had chance to see him in concert. One my fav of his songs.
That's exactly it - surreal and nostalgic, a strange feeling. I've always thought that too. For me this came out when I was in high school and it has a distinctive bass line with classic 80's mixing/mastering. So it takes me straight back to high school. I also feel that "surreal and nostalgic" vibe with Barry Manilow's "It's a Miracle", the Four Seaon's "Who Loves You", Supertramp's "Goodbye Stranger", Kim Carne's "Bette Davis Eyes", A Flock of Seagull's "Space Age Love Song" and many others.
Oh Yeah Completely & Totally agree ... its great to be able to play & sing his songs and thanks to YTube for giving me the channel under my picture icon ... Bowie fans are ace.

God help me I miss this man dearly. He may be gone but he will NEVER be forgotten.
El maestro David Bowie el inmortal este clásico me acompañó en mi servicio militar allá por 1984 y me sigue acompañando a donde valla es difícil dejar de escuchar estas joyas
David Bowie
Is there anything more 80's than this? Delicious!
Listening to this when I'm in pain makes me feel life is worth living, I smile an move on, pain is nothing. Love is everything.
Usually when a celebrity passes I feel sorry then I move on.
When he died it was like a piece of me went with him and I still really miss him!
He'd still be rockin' it....and I miss him too
I miss him
❤️
Lauren Lynley Right? I actually have to remind myself that he is still gone 🙁
Same same same. It was like my childhood died
I was there!
Really?
Cool as shit!!
WOW!
Lucky bastard!
great!
I find it hard to imagine how multi dimensional and talented Bowie was what a genius
David was such an incredible talent..... A lyricist, musician, actor, song writer, and of course an unbelievable entertainer. He had more talent in his pinky than all of the so called musicians of today combined.
damn right
The Moonage Daydream movie is really good.
A true ICON!!
We still have musicians?😂🤣😂🤣
Song is such a banger. I cannot be still when it's on, must dance! 😎
David Bowie was awesome. He made amazing music, he refused to conform to stereotypes of gender, he spoke out about how black musicians are treated unfairly and he was all around a really nice guy. I wish I could have met him. I don't usually cry over the deaths of celebrities, but he was the exception
Bless you ..Loved Bowie since i was 5 years old my father always listen to his music and i thank him.
I did too dont feel bad. When he died he was so much a part of my teenage years fun and good times I felt like part of me had died
This song is so so so good that I'm actually mad that we don't have music like this anymore
Yeah it's fucking sad and I'm not joking
Really appreciating how f*cking great his band and backup singers were during this era.
The energy of this song makes me feel unstoppable and victorious . Thanks David... wherever you are.
David Bowie
For probably the last 20 years(at least) i've not had to set an alarm in the morning. I waken up with a song or a tune playing in my head, random songs, some of them i don't even like. For the last 4 or 5 days it's been this song. No reason for it, i haven't listened to Bowie for quite some time, it's just a song which has popped into my head for some random reason, and what a song. So i've had to come to youtube, specifically to find it. It's majestic, a special piece of song writing from an absolute master.
Awesome 👏👍 I wake up singing random songs Lots of times n it sticks with you for at least the first hour of the day... it's a good thing 🤣👏👍❤
Nothing like the random "ear worm song" to get the day started. Happens to me throughout the day
This song is timeless
David Bowie was just
A great musician. 🎶
He was the best.🎶🎶👍
A god among men
Love is luck. He right
He didn't play anything very well.
He didn't write this......next please
@@steffanhoffmann8937 says you, Hoggle.
Happy 78th birthday, David Bowie! Even if you cannot return to Earth or go on a long journey through space, your music will live on forever!
David knew how to wear suits. He had style and class 👍
Amen!!
Mark Beckford Absolutely!
Although he looks 33 and single in this onw
Was just thinking the same thing
He could wear a suit and a dress
My favorite Bowie song.
It's a song that always cheers me up.
A light mustard suit with an undone bow tie.
Cannot be dressed more classy and modern at the same time.
Bowie is COOL made a person!!!
❤🤩
Probably drinking champagne onstage at the same time too.
@@guymorris6596 Very good!!! 🤣🤣🤣
Great upbeat song! Also, I think Rick Astley tried copying his moves.
My favorite Bowie song @@markwest8960
Love the song lyrics and video it’s beautiful 😍
David Bowie has been my hero and my own star since I was in middle school. I love him and commemorate him. - In Korea, it is written by a 52-year-old man. -
One day in July 2022.
ur 52 now or in klorea and what's a 52 yr old dude doing in Korea?
...just asking
@@hmackie6823 I am currently 52 years old.
I love how even Korean people love him.
Yes 😉
Totally amazing artist who spanned 5 decades of his music career
He was HIS own unique genius, listen to a band called bauhaus ,they cover a great version of Ziggy stardust.
Or couldbe been throwing them to a roadie or someone on his team
That's what modern love means
Here are the lyrics:
I know when to go out
And when to stay in
Get things done
I catch a paper boy
But things don't really change
I'm standing in the wind
But I never wave bye-bye
But I try
I try
There's no sign of life
It's just the power to charm
I'm lying in the rain
But I never wave bye-bye
But I try
I try
Never gonna fall for
Modern love walks beside me
Modern love walks on by
Modern love gets me to the church on time
Church on time terrifies me
Church on time makes me party
Church on time puts my trust in God and man
God and man no confessions
God and man no religion
God and man don't believe in modern love
It's not really work
It's just the power to charm
Still standing in the wind
But I never wave bye-bye
But I try
I try
Never gonna fall for
Modern love walks beside me
Modern love walks on by
Modern love gets me to the church on time
Church on time terrifies me
Church on time makes me party
Church on time puts my trust in God and man
God and man no confessions
God and man no religion
God and man don't believe in modern love
Modern love walks beside me
Modern love walks on by
Modern love gets me to the church on time
Church on time terrifies me
Church on time makes me party
Church on time puts my trust in God and man
God and man no confessions
God and man no religion
God and man don't believe in modern love
Modern love
Modern love
Modern love
Modern love
Modern love
Modern love
Modern love
Modern love
Modern love
Modern love
Modern love
Modern love
Modern love walks beside me
Modern love walks on by
Modern love walks beside me
Modern love walks on by
Never gonna fall for
Modern love
Modern love
Thanks, it's good to really remember.
Bruv the lyrics are literally in the description, why write them in the comments?
@@acinraz_6191 I didn't notice it
@@kadavrexqis Thanks. I rarely read the description, but I always read the comments.
Catchy but empty lyrics.
Still a jam in 2020
Still listening this in 2024 and loving and dancing hard, anyone else?❤
You can count me
Hel ya and always will be, at least until my body won't let me. Lol

Yes, me too.

This song still holds up after all these years I still start moving as soon as I hear it thank you David for sharing your talent with the rest of us
Modern Love definitely one of my top 5 Bowie songs.
RIP David Robert Jones. Thank you for visiting earth.
This is the best comment
David Bowie was theatrical the way he went through so many changes and costumes over his career.
Fake as
Absolute genius!
He was the ultimate musical chameleon, always setting new trends.
I saw this tour in 1983 in Tacoma. Then saw him in Vancouver 1987, Los Angeles in 1990 and Berkeley 2004.
Hello 👋🏼 Halie Maxine
One of the best voices in music history! RIP David
Wish I had seen him in concert
Cant believe David Bowie sings this one. For years I thought another person was the author of this one. I cried so hard realising how virtuoso he was. I miss him badly. ❤️
Hot House - Chiguayante - “ Colin”
Through anxiety and depression, this song has been my go to for clarity. Always go back to it.
David Bowie, un artista adelantado a su tiempo. Sus canciones trascenderán a través de los años...
Totalmente, como no estar de acuerdo?
Saludos desde Bs As Arg.
Barrionuevo fue papa por atras atras
This song encapsulates my time growing up in the '80's....It touches my soul with a ghostly haunt whenever I hear it...What an Era!!!.....'80's were the BEST!!!
80’s music made me who I am today
Absolutly!!!
I’m obsessed with his voice in this track. Love it so much
I was obsessed with this concert when they played it on HBO back when i was a teen.
the hair, the suit, the driving beat - this was the best!
La voz de David , los coros y ese Saxo, 🤩ufff que hermoso
Idk why this song sounds so surreal and nostalgic to me. It's a really strange feeling.
♥
He has such creative range and vision in video, natural gift to bring the lyrics. His song "ashes to ashes" show his creative aspect not seen today, he said 90% singer voices are altered now.
I had chance to see him in concert. One my fav of his songs.
Because he's has the touch my friend , not everyone has that special touch like Bowie the one and only !!!!
