Best tutorial ever! Did my mans wash and retwist Sunday night. Took me exactly 3 hours, I'm sure I'll get a little faster but this was my first time ever even attempting it. It came out great and he's happy with it. Most importantly, he is no longer talking about cutting his beautiful, almost to the middle of his back length locs off. Thank you so much!!
i want to learn to do this for my boyfriend. this looks easy enough. i will come back and rewatch a few times before i lay hands on his hair. thank you for the vid!
Thank you so much for helping me achieve a beautiful retwist on myself. I followed all instructions except I used a different gel (lock booster), and plam rolled instead of locksmith cause idk how even with all the tutorials lol. The big clips makes huge difference and cut my retwist time down. Also parting first, then reparting with gel made a difference too. Thank you for teaching all the techniques. Especially “twist to the right” made it so much easier to remember. Forever grateful. Saved me money and time ❤❤❤
I really like how u simplified this! I thought I'd have to use a ton of clips because that's what someone told me, but I felt that they would get in the way too much. I think I'm going to try to do my son's retwist today for the 1st time using this method. Thank u!
I absolutely LOVE how you instruct. I’ve had my locs for 4 years and I am not a big fan of doing it myself because my hair is long (a little past shoulder length) and it never comes out right in my opinion cuz my arms get tired!!!! But this video encouraged me to keep trying lol
Now I feel confident in doing my boyfriends hair. Because he's been asking and I really havent wanted to lol but I can do them now that I know what products and how easy it is.
I have been doing a bit of research for retwisting locs so I can help my son do his hair. This video is very helpful! I absolutely love that you break down and thoroughly explain your process as you go along. Could you recommend any affordable products I can use to help keep his locs and scalp moisturized ?
Your video is very helpful I really want to help my BF with his dreads but I have no experience at all. But this gives me hope 😅. So he have to wash his hair first right?
That's awesome that you'll be able to do the retwists and now he can pay you instead of a stylist. I was so tired of paying someone to do my daughter's hair
Tyyyy I have starter locs and I need to learn to do retwist on my own since I ain't paying 55-60 bucks every few months to someone to do it bc I def 100% don't have that kind of money
Yes thank you! I did a re twist on a friends hair about to again. And my biggest concern was getting clean parts but didn't want to take hair out of a loc.
What if I don’t have the heater thing? My boyfriend says I can practice retwisting on him but I don’t want to be spending so much $ on the dryer thing.
Everybody's trying to learn how do their man's hair. I just wanna learn how to do my son's hair. But while we're at it can 1 of y'all find me a man that doesn't need his hair done? 😂
I’m about to do my son’s retwist, I’m tired of being put on hold and cancelled on!! Should his hair be damp after shampooing or dry, that’s all I need to know!
My boyfriend wants me to do his hair, and I've never done dreads before. What would you recommend for a dread that's split in two towards the end? I've seen videos that crochet them together, but am worried about it being thicker than the rest of his dreads or causing breakage. It's also too thin towards the root to split and make two.
Depends on the style. With two strands I twist along the way and I blow dry it for 5 minutes after, but the two strands keep the retwist together so sitting under a dryer for 20 minutes isn’t needed. For barrels I’ll let it dry first then style. I will make a video on it good question
This video was great! And Idk if anyone can answer this but can you let them air dry afterwards or is it best to blow dry and/or put them under the dryer?
Thank you so much for your content! I did my sons hair today and whew Chile lol it's a process but I did it 😂 and the large clamps defiantly worked I stopped in the mid of his hair and ran and got them 😂 cause I ain't got time for the small ones lol
Try taking a few slinkies and mashing and twisting them together with this same method, then try pulling them apart. Dreads work best with tighter curls because of this

Yes
Yes and you keep them in while drying

Girl I love u this video teached me so much more thank u frrr🎉
I started doing my bf's dreads and a real beginner. It is really easy. I just have one question when do I take off the clips from the dreads?
After he comes from under the dryer
What is the thing you use at the end ? A steamer ?
Hair dryer
What if I don’t have the heater thing? My boyfriend says I can practice retwisting on him but I don’t want to be spending so much $ on the dryer thing.
At the end of the video she says that a blow dryer can do the same!! ^^

I'm here for my son's and nephew I'm tried of paying a monthly fee it feels like I'm paying rent twice a month 😂😂
These look really good!! Did you retwist them on dry or wet hair?
Hello, I can’t remember exactly but it’s usually dry or very slightly damp.
always twist hair when wet as its drying.
What kind of product are you using to slick it as you twist it?
dumb question but do you take the clips out after they dry? cuz like how do they stay twisted
Helped a lot thank you so much
Should they wash them first? Or is it easier on dry hair?
You should wet ur hair first
Great video, great looking Locs. I’m 3 months into my Locs,
awesome video! do i leave the clips in his hair for a while after i blow dry?
Can you spill the product you use?
Beautiful job. Thank you for sharing.

Question, should my bf wash his hair before i retwist?
if they are getting it retwisted then styled after, do you let it dry first before the retwist?

If his dreads were started going to the left how should I retwist and two strand it ?
Do everything the opposite way, re twist to the left and two strand to the right x
This video was great! And Idk if anyone can answer this but can you let them air dry afterwards or is it best to blow dry and/or put them under the dryer?
I think either way dear
But sometimes airdry to avoid much heat on our hair....it’s so safe 🤞🏻
What products did you use ?
Do you retwist wet or dry with the Loc N Gel?
cool video w/ a great explanation! On avg. how long does this style take to be done ?
It can take anywhere from 2-6 hours, his hair took about 3 hours
@@nylajaineohh okay thanks & for the quick response!
What type of gel could you use ?
What product are you using...???
I’m just Tryna learn because someone said I don’t have clients cause I don’t do locs
What did you use to retwist?
This may be a stupid question but do you have to detox or wash them before every retwist
depends on how long they waited in between sessions. 3 months or more imo = detox. Any less time just wash regular
What's the product used in the beginning?
Was his hair damp or dry when you started?
Hey! what's the best loc shampoo and conditioner to get?
What is the product your putting on his hair???

how long do you need to blow dry the hair for ?

Perfect. Thank you
im so confused as to how they dont unravel, im going to get mine at the end of the summer but the physics confuse me
Try taking a few slinkies and mashing and twisting them together with this same method, then try pulling them apart. Dreads work best with tighter curls because of this
Did you use the same gel to part the hair neatly?.
Yes
If you don't have a drier can you air dry the locs instead?
I don't think it will hold as well. I tried to air dry and it didn't set the same as when I sat under the dryer.
Tysm I'm a young hairstyles and my sister wants me to retwist her hair
What camera are you using to record this video?! 😍
In the beginning I used the Sony vz-1 camera but for most of the video I used my back camera on my iPhone 14
What’s the brand of the hair dryer?
Hey how long do u let them sit before taking the clips
like 20-30 minutes under the dryer
