- PAVAROTTI - Nessun Dorma and Torna a Surriento. Royal gala Concert. Royal Albert Hall, Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, Conductor Kurt Herbert Adler, recorded in April 13 1982.
No one sing nessun dorma like Pavarotti!
He is the best!!!!
He was definitely the best tenor of all time his voice is mesmerizing
Perhaps not the best, but shurly one of the greatest.
The way it was recorderd by others before him should be taken in considerance.
@@DupreMartin
That's right. The technology is better now.
@DupreMartin
I'm happy to vote him the greatest tenor of all time. As regards your opinion - I couldn't care less.
I've decided to disavow my reply to DupreMartin because, on reflection, my comment is rather rude.
Listen to Corelli sing Nessun Dorma. Pavarotti himself recognized his superior voice, particularly in this aria.
I was visiting my mother while on vacation and she asked to watch a program, and I agreed. This was my introduction to this wonderful voice that sent chills down my spine. That was 40 years ago and to this day 8/23/2023 I enjoy listening to Mr. Pavarotti without hesitation. A truly gifted man who shared his love with music to all. I to wish I could have seen him in person.
Pavarotti opens his mouth and heaven comes forth
His voice is a gift to the world! Stunning! His voice touches my soul.
Agree....there needs to be a movie of his life.

A gift from God ✨️
To those who are not into this kind of music, skip this. But please don't dislike it. Let us give credit and respect to this magnificent person and the best tenor of our times. For me, this is absolutely brilliant.
I like classical music too, but your comment is idiotic. Many of the people here enjoying this video have probably 'disliked' a Marilyn Manson video(as an example), because they find it tasteless. Therefore, others reserve the right to equally down vote any piece they don't like. Art is subjective after all. It sucks, but it's fair.
Just ignore them. They don’t deserve any attention!
@@emanuelarex1694 Uhh were they seeking attention by hitting the _dislike_ button?
@@gerald_the_science_guy from those ones who make comments about it. 😉
@@emanuelarex1694 ...and who are only responding to those whining about the dislike bar 🤷♂️
It's so flawless that his mouth is open belting out perfection and yet visually, it looks like he's yawning effortlessly. I tear up every time I hear his voice.
Absolute brilliant. The atmosphere back then was a priceless experience. 2023?!
I have heard this hundreds of times. I still get goosebumps each time I hear this. He is an absolute music genius.
I still tear up and get goosebumps every time.
Magnificent. What a voice. I'm shaking every time I listen to him.
My heart is going bumbum.....
A gift from God
I'm Italian descent what a gift . Every culture and country has it's gift.
What a great tenor Luciano Pavarotti was, taken away long before his time, but he left us wth a wonderful legacy, his voice will live forever.
Splendido !
Magnificent. One of the greatest gifts is to hear Pavarotti sing.
Definitely
The best .. my favorita
La modesti l umiltà ? È dei grandi come. Big luciano ! Eternamente grati l italia!
Many many MANY have tried, but NO ONE sings Nessun Dorma like Pavarotti! SO uplifting!
Gary ❤️
Bjorling definitely produced the best version ,his voice was more powerful ,and had a more dramatic effect in the final note
U know thats so true, I like Corelli's version too, but his is too virile, there is something powerful yet gentle and loving in Pavarottis version...i think its his vocal tone...even though he is singing full voice here.
Pavarotti is best ever, but Roberto Alagna performed it better than Luciano.
Franco Corelli
No matter how many times, no matter how many years, I am brought to tears of absolute JOY. A treasure beyond measure.
1 in every 2000 years is THIS GOOD. Rare talent indeed. What a gift to our humanity.

There will never be another Pavarotti!!
There shouldn't be
Beyond his magnificent voice and stage presence he introduced opera to the masses. Truly a joy to watch the 3 Tenors; they appeared to be enjoying themselves as much as the audience.
And Luciano Pavarotti seemed to have taken joy in singing typical Neapolitan folk songs like O Sole Mio, Funiculì, Funiculà.
I absolutely loved listening to nessum dorma and the three tenors, so beautiful it brought me to tears every time, I was just so happy that I turned on channel 13 public TV to watch the entire show of the three tenors... Of course I bought the CD, something I cherish to this day. I thank God for giving us the pleasure of hearing such beautiful music, it truly has touched my heart and always will.
It's so beautiful. No one can replace Pavarotti
My husband took me to Dallas to hear this voice of beautiful color and richness. How we wished the evening would never end. I hope heaven has him singing every night.
He takes my breath away. There will NEVER be another ! So joyful that I lived to see and hear his genius.
Yes There will will be another Pavarotti. But, nobody knows when. We all may be gone the day this new Pavarotti will become famous ….
Maravillos dona moltíssim gus escoltar-lo carma
I agree with you
You are blessed

OMG that voice cuts through one's soul with a force beyond imagination, this truly is amazing 👏 💖 ❤️ 💗

Well said!
Best opera and tenor singer of all time!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Those who “disliked” this version are soulless husks of humanity.
Exactly! They are not human
Agree 100 percent!
Donny. Yes I agree. RAPPERS.....lol.
The dislikes are just idiots.IQ less than shoe size.
after hearing his voice, you wouldn’t call someone a soulless husk of humanity
I always wondered when I'm listening his voice, how is possible to be so good?? Is limitless,unique.. Makes me sad that he died when I was too young to understand his music :(
Always gives me the chills. No one did it better.
The dislikes are just an insult to one of the greatest opera singers in the world!
ua-cam.com/video/CrJC7l5Pn-k/v-deo.html
Exactly! A literary disgusting to even consider to dislike ! Whether you like opera or not ! Just the mere talent what your hearing is no doubt breath taking and in aw! Complete idiots
@@22jaydogg May not be the greatest Calaf, he is a grand one in the 70 and 80's. Ambassador of Opera. There might be those who are technical enough to consider him not the best fit this role. World knows him mainly on this aria though.
@ANITA Ospedale One of the best.
@ANITA Ospedale It is only voice and singing that we are all only focusing on, there is no personal loyalty or any other factors. A step further, we can only focus narrowly on this role as Prince Calaf and also just not to go outside Italy. There are long list of spinto and dramatic tenors that sings more fully and better fit for this role.
The best tenor of the history.....🤩🤩

Simply the greatest tenor ever.
The great tenor with a very small repertoire and great respect for tenors able to perform classic songs by Schubert,Schumann,Richard Strauss,Brahms,Mahler etc.!That was not his metier.
Pavarotti big tonnage small voice.
What a voice he had, what a voice!! I have goosebumps just listening to him singing Nessun Dorma which is one of my favorite songs from the opera Turandot. And nobody, absolutely NOT ONE PERSON has sung Nessun Dorma like Pavarotti. He is the KING of opera and classical music. He was a genius and a brilliant singer, a true gifted man.
LOVE YOU, Luciano, you might be gone but never forgotten. And you will live in the memories and hearts in those who can appreciate greatness and excellent music. Keep singing to the Lord, He definitely knows greatness. Excellent video, I appreciate it.

Every word cuts deep into my soul... a true work of art🎉🎉🎉
Simply a beautiful masterpiece, sang by a true maestro.
Pavarotti and me 🎼❤🙏
.
The greatest lyric Tenor of all, Luciano Pavarotti, was born on this day 85 years ago, on 12th of October, 1935.
.
I still remember the first time I heard "Nessun Dorma" sang by Pavarotti.
.
It was one of the most beautiful and moving things that I've ever heard.
.
I wanted to cry and laugh and smile at the same time, but I had to hide my face that no one will see my reaction.
.
I didn't understand the power of the Opera back then.
I also didn't know a word in Italian, but it didn't matter, because I understood the beauty, the passion and the emotion of it.
.
When I heard Pavarotti sings "Nessun dorma" it was like he touched the devine and brought it back to earth to share it with us.
.
From that moment onwards everything changed, and I actually started to like the Opera secretly, just like my late grandfather who met Arturo Toscanini before WW2 and was a great fan of the opera 🎼❤🙏.
.
Apparently there are some things that pass in the genes...
.
For me Pavarotti was truly one of the greatest of all. He and the great Franco Corelli will always be my favourites.
.
When he hits the last note in "Nessun Dorma" and sings "Vincerò" you know that you have witnessed true greatness and you are not the same person anymore, but a better one, due to this devine creation and profound experience ❤🎼🙏
.
Indeed music is the universal language and "Nessun Dorma" is Perfection, simply perfection ❤🎼🙏
Gilgamesh Your letter made cry with joy i wish so much that i could have gone to see one of his Teatro i love his voice and Nessun Dorma is a gift from God i also wish that Luciano Pavarotti would 've been still alive ❤ 😢
@@francescamocerithibert2937 I wish you and your family all the best 🙏. Continue to enjoy this marvellous music 🎼🎵 and stay safe ❤🙏

I still get the chills when I hear this. I ran to see him twice, once in NYC & also once in Miami.
Just so breathtaking! I listen to this song often, just calms my soul! Dear Sir, you had the most passionate voice. Bravo!
How this orchestra behind him stays focused and doesn't burst into tears while he sings , is beyond me ...

There have been many great tenors, however IMO he was the best ever. Was blessed to see him in person. I wasn't right for months after.
The Rolls Royce of the tenors. Simply the BEST 😍

He remain an inspiring reference of outstanding and beautiful singing. Never to be forgotten.
I took my mom to see him. She happily cried throughout this song. Then I took her to see Placido Domingo. At the gala afterwards she bolted away from me. By the time I caught up to her, she was hugging him.
