As a newly tattooed person, this fic makes me so incredibly happy. Having been uninterested in tattoos for most of my life up until recently, I can confirm that this is exactly how it happens. I developed a sudden interest in Ink Master and Inked magazine, just... marveling at the beautiful body artwork. Suddenly, my reservations were gone, and I booked a consultation very shortly thereafter. (Obviously I did my research to find a reputable shop and my awesome artist. :D) I promise you, if you're reading this and you're even just a tiny bit interested, do it. I promise you won't regret it. I feared I might, but if you do your research and choose something true to you, it's worth every cent. Looking at old pictures of me, I look... well... like a blank flank, as silly as that sounds. It's like I finally got my mark. It's exactly how AJ phrases it, you know: an expression of self that stays with you forever. But it's even more than that... it's like magic armor, keeping you safe by just existing. And it's lovely. I'm getting mine finished tomorrow, and I can hardly wait!
MY GOD! This MLP fanfic is beautiful and enjoyable to hear. Is truly another reason why Slice of Life genre is used so the story can be as real to the lives around us, and feel connected with the characters. Thank you Miss Scribbler. And may 2020 give you more memories to make. 💚

I´ve always wanted to get a tattoo but do to my dislike of needles I never got the guts to do it. But I gotta say, from the description of her tattoo I bet AJ would look totally stunning with it. :)
