Great tool! As an additional tip, if you depress the striker safety block, the striker will drop slightly forward and slightly reduce the spring tension that you’re working against making the job somewhat easier. (For those that don’t have the striker return spring.)
It took me no time to order two of these tools after watching the video. The design of the tools makes it clear what the proper procedure is for removing the striker without the tools, which, of course, is what lead me to the video. These tools will make the striker channel cleaning part of the regular maintenance. Thank you so much.
UPDATE: Bought the kit. All I can say is: If you want to save fingernails and a lot of cursing, GET THIS! It is so easy to use and makes me look like a PRO! BUY IT! KEEP ON ROCKING!
I bought your Striker removal tool, and all went well on my new Sig P365X until I tried to compress the striker assembly back into the gun. I put the spring loaded striker safety into the slot and then inserted the striker assembly, but when I used the pusher tool the striker assembly wouldn't go in far enough to insert the backer plate. And yes I did push the "knob" over into the slot. It wouldn't budge no matter how hard I pushed. I finally figured out I had to also hold down the striker safety with one finger while using the pusher tool on the striker assembly otherwise the assembly springs wouldn't compress. It didn't appear that you had to do this in your video, and I"m wondering if there's been a redesign of some sort or if you just didn't mention that. You do great videos, but this one had me sweating, for a while. Hopefully, this helps others who may give it a try.
Shipping is at the lowest possible rate for any product on sigguy.com. Shipping isn’t based on the cost of the product. If that was the case shipping would be astronomical for orders over $1000. Shipping costs include packaging, processing, labels, shipping software subscriptions, tracking and many more things most people do not take into consideration. The shipping is still lower than what it will take to replace parts that are damaged by using tools not designed for the job. Thank you for the product compliment. That are a very popular item on the website.
That would save me from having to buy a new striker eventually. Screw driver always slips and messes up that little tab you have to push over into the backplate. I break my slide down for cleaning after each range day so my striker housing isn't pretty at all
Update 4-12-24. Purchase the removal and insertion tools. Have to give them a 10. So much easier than the screwdriver method and no damage. Also, I can use the long wedge on the old style detent pin design, works well. Original posting: I have two P365. One with a striker housing as shown where you push over part of the tab, the other is made different where there is a little detent pin to push in, then remove the cover. Will these wedges help with the second design?
I haven't tried the old style but I don't see why this kit wouldn't work. just use one of the wedges instead of two. If you or anyone else has the old style housing please let me know if this kit works as well. Thank you.
Now….if MCARBO wasn’t terminally back ordered on the Ti striker housing that would be amazing! Thanks for the videos and all you do.
Great tool!

Extremely informative and thorough explanation for this striker plate tool! I'll have to order one, thank you!
Shipping is almost as much as the tool 😂. All good. Thanks for coming up with it.

Why doesn’t Sig use parts like MCARBO? Could It be cost or damage to the slide? I’m really interested in the MCARBO.
AWESOME 🤣🤣😎🔥🔥🔥 MCARBO HAS PROBLEMS🤣🤣👍🏼
I would buy this.
I’m gonna buy this thing
Why don't you do Ebay or Amazon sales? You're missing out.

the old design works and very simple in operation, why did Sig change to this new design, it makes removal of back plate more complicated
Old style back plates were coming off while firing.
I need this tool. Took me 15min all putting back together smh
Well I destroy my p320 axg legion comp or p365 x macro comp if I shoot 100 or less rounds of underwood extreme defender 90 grain +p+ out of them?
Is your site back up?
Where do we buy this?
Sigguy.com
Is there another video with much less talking and less intro'ing? Does it really take 10 minds to describe this thing?
Do not ever buy products from this guy. He has a zero exception policy for returns.
Thank You!
