Finally got to see the Rev and the Band live this spring...all I can say is if this guy is playing anywhere near you, GO.
Just an amazing talent and a helluva show!

When you see someone at a music festival that can play like this, it blows everyone out. Most modern acts sound like the mixing guy has plugged his ipod into the PA

Fingerstyle is not dying. It moved to Korea and lives with Sungha Jung. =). Loved your video!

@jdlansford I think you might not have grasped the whole idea of this particular video, which is Rev showing finger-picking techniques to teach guitarists how to play in this style. It is not the most complex stuff he can play. Look around UA-cam and see some other videos to see his most amazing stuff. Or, better yet, see him and his Big Damn Band in concert. They tour constantly.
Also, as I said, playing the Warped Tour introduced this style to a whole new generation.

@jdlansford He's been touring for years reviving it, playing fingerstyle in venues all over the world and even on the Van's Warped Tour.

The Big Damn Band is on tour at the moment, playing a ton of individual dates and festivals all summer in the US and Europe. Check their web site or Facebook to see dates,
