Finally got to see the Rev and the Band live this spring...all I can say is if this guy is playing anywhere near you, GO. Just an amazing talent and a helluva show!
When you see someone at a music festival that can play like this, it blows everyone out. Most modern acts sound like the mixing guy has plugged his ipod into the PA
@jdlansford I think you might not have grasped the whole idea of this particular video, which is Rev showing finger-picking techniques to teach guitarists how to play in this style. It is not the most complex stuff he can play. Look around UA-cam and see some other videos to see his most amazing stuff. Or, better yet, see him and his Big Damn Band in concert. They tour constantly. Also, as I said, playing the Warped Tour introduced this style to a whole new generation.
