I use almost exactly this build, I found it on a German forum, but I am just lvl 63 now and I don't have all the weapons I want. You definetly want to put a point in grizzly as soon as you can, or you won't have a blocker aside from your merc, as the wolves are pretty useless. Also put some points into oak early on, since it really helps. The same goes for all skills that are on the path to the ones you need.
Few quick notes guys. I made this video that day after a really late night stream lol. During the run example when I refer to cyclone I mean Hurricane. Also I didn't have Hurricane cast at the start of the pit run because I was distracted talking into the webcam lol. Or I'm a Noob. Hahahahhah you can decide. And Heath should be Health. Epic fail lol
Btw, was wondering, since Enigma has a cooldown in PoD, what would be the optimal MF armor for a Ele druid in PoD? My Nado does 9k at lvl 80 so far, so just need to stack up MF.
I know this video is 3 years old by now, but I want to thank you for sharing this build. I recently decided to play D2 after like 15 years again, but I didn't know how to build a good druid. While I didn't manage to obtain all the runes for the gear you mentioned, I still managed to beat the game on hell difficulty! I had no Enigma (which caused occasional deaths), no Heart of the Oak and no Spirit Monarch. If I could I'd use Enigma too and I will once I got the runes, but what worked at least somewhat decent was using an Insight on my druid. Basically I could spam my grizzly and the run behind my bear to kill the enemy. I had no proper Merc gear either due to lack of runes, so I used an ethereal Woestick fully upgraded to tier 3 and 1 perfect emerald on it, also Chains of Honor since I had the runes for it and dunno what the helmet was, but basically he could help with physical immune enemies. Now I'm farming with my second char for the runes I need for my druid. So I just want to say even without optimized gear one can still grind ones way through hell.
Only character I've ever played through hell. Just got an ist rune off countess with him last night lol. Made a 642 cta for him and now he has everything I can get on single player for him. Now looking for eth reapers to up mercs damage out put
Great guide! I just made this build in d2r. I ended up opting for a 1x Ele Skills/12Fhr GC instead of the 2x5fhr small charms (for the sake of one more slot, I used a skiller) and 1 x ele skills/ 38 life. Using Mara's the rest of my inventory is open for mf charms. 4078 life, 813mana, 444%mf, 5.2k Tornado @ lvl 83! thx
Never really liked hammerdins, always been a sorc or javazon user but this looks quite fun to try. Also what type of mercy do you use? Doesn't look like holy freeze
If/When they ever do that they're gonna tailor it to the casual *younger than us* crowd...they'd never make the same game twice and it probably won't be something we (30s I guess) players really enjoy. I'd love to see it but I don't think it'd be something I'd like MORE than D2 which is a game I love...and am now playing at 32 which I first remember playing at 13. Market has changed, everything has changed...the way to make money off of making video games has changed. #fortnite (COOL GAME TOO) but its all different now...doubt we'd get another game we love as much as D2 again from them.
Any chance on an in-depth guide for newer players on area progression, break points to prioritize and when to sacrifice mf% to move to an area that is better to MF, or which areas can be farmed with lower quality gear so people can focus on mt gear? Would be interesting to have your insight. Maybe even list some gear that low -> mid-> end game chars should be utilizing.
There are probably some "budget" guides on youtube that would answer that question on how to farm certain bosses and what gear is good at certain levels etc. To answer the question, I think there's a Tyrael's chance in hell that he makes a video like that. No disrespect.

Hello! Nice video, you gave me motivation to start with wind druid again. :) I just wanted to ask you one thing. Why didn't you set players number to 8? Is there some special rule that special number of players in specific areas guarantee better drops? I also noticed some people set number of players to 3 when farming in chaos sanctuary.
The player number setting works like having that number of players online, but not in your party and on the same area. There is only an increase in item quantity on the settings 3, 5 and 7. So 8 just makes it harder but gives you nothing in return.
Been watching all your videos (love the content) and had a question about players setting in the pits. Thought in your MF guide you advised pits at players 1, but this one you’re running on 7, is this to increase tune drops? Recall you mentioning that players1 is best for targeting sets/uniques if I’m correct, but just wanted to double check.
If you can run players 7 quickly it's just better due to higher potential for rune drops. Players 7 will also decrease the no drop chance so it can benefit magic finding. Players 1 is generally better for pure mfing though due to speed.
Hey guys. I have simple question. Why eth thresher is better base for infinity than eth CV?? CV has more dmg, speed and range so i don't understand why everyone telling that thresher is better...
Mateusz Padewski CV has more raw dmg. But thresher is much faster. More attacks per sec means more dmg. Cv also has a higher str req to use. Thresher (imo) is definitely the better base.
You go look for these videos to help you on getting to the next level of magic find (or high rune farming) but all of them start with the end game gear... Is there anything for the guys with average or less then average gear?!
The Pit (also known as "Pits") is the first and one of the few areas, where EVERY single item can be obtained. Why is that so? Firstly, area level is 85. Secondly, "TC of monsters are upgraded with the monster level to the highest possible TC, so monsters here drop from TC87 with high chance." It is a popular place due to rather weak and easy to kill monsters. Other areas worth visiting are: Mausoleum (mentioned by You, Dbrunski's lucky farmplace; located on the cemetery of Blood Raven in act 1) Ancient Tunnels, (Lost City in act 2) River of Flames and Chaos Sancturary (both in act 4 on our way to Diablo) and from The Worldstone Keep level 1 through the Throne of Destruction in act 5 onwards till Baal himself. I hope You will find this helpful. There are even written guides on the internet, which will tell You everything You need to know about this particular one and the rest of the areas, if You want to dig deeper :)
For the Mercenary, I would rather use Insight since it adds that small amount of magic find. If only there was another way to gain mana regeneration like an Insight while using a high magic find Tomb Reaver with 3x Ist runes.
yea insight works well for the pits. but other areas you really need to use reapers toll for the decrepify to break physical immune. You can use the solar creeper vine for mana regen. Or maybe something like silk weaves for mana after kill. or just pot lol ;)
wow. my druid is pretty similar, but i don't have a good crafted ammu (i use maras), and i have only 2 elemental skillers, and i dont have.. war travelers!! yes, even when i have Enigma but not war traveler boots :( hahha And a tip for you: try using your cube and the identify tome on the top left of your inventory. This will save you some time when picking items ;) Well done bro !
I love playing hurricane! I just had the storm killing everything because I hated how I never rly could make the tornadoes hit.. they usually fly around the mob xD Is the storm not able to kill any mob type? Is this on par with mf sorceress and paladin? :)
I usually do wind druid for pvp , 163 fcr / 99 fhr vs caster 99/99 to tanky rush , , or 99//174 fhr (only vs trapper mb + ph its almost impossible to avoid with tele wind , pretty much vs trapper is a GG game)
Great vid! Ele druid was my favorit pvp class before they fixed WSG. RIP D2 PVP :'(. I also played ele druid in SP with similar gear setup. But like u said, hammerdins / sorcs are just more efficient and in the end my dudu got put on the bench ^^ I would't worry about ur FHR on SP druid due to how unlikely it is that u actually get into a fhr animation from pvm mobs when u have 5k life and close to 20% DR (and cyclone armor vs all elemental dmg) for pvp u have to have 99fhr but for pvm u can go with zero cus u never take 11% total life in 1hit anyway ^^ or almost never :P
Wind druid is better than sorc on hardcore IMO. Sorcs are easily killed. My personal fave was trapassin though because of the OP defenses. (and corpse explosion) What i liked to do was run reapers toll/guillumes' face/treachery chest on my merc. Then i was very similar to a necro. I had decrepify and corpse explosion. But instead of skeles i had traps and more life and MUCH better defenses. Merc was also very very strong and cheap. Best setup for a merc on a budget IMO. Huge attack speed/crushing blow/decrepify/fade and life steal GG. People i played with would tell me 'holy shit your merc is a beast!'. He'd live through uber tristram :) He'd just be chillin in the middle of the map surrounded by adds slowly killing them.
Zingo89 yea dude I love windy druid but I can understand why you benched him. I agree about fhr as well. But I provided an easy 99 fhr bp build as an variation cuz sone people sweat by 99 , 99
@Scr8 Up Factz but wouldn't you likely already have better gear on a lightsorc from running countess to get HRs (Lo runes to make Bers)? So, just put the 2 bers into infinity instead of now having to use a Jah for enigma AND gear a druid? Just running for Lo runes to make Bers for infinity would have you with a CTA and HOTO with Spirit on main and switch. She'll also drop Shako/Vipermagi by then as well. This is only assuming, you start with Sorc first on ladder reset. Though running to pits from outer cloister is theoretically doable without enigma. Even on single player without MH. I play on a private server where MH is allowed, not Bnet. Maybe i've been doing it wrong all this time, but i go with Light Sorc first. Then I'll hell countess with bad gear and 700hp/maxblock to get infinity... kind of my new season routine. Then I'll farm until enigma and make Hdin, then grush 7 of my characters for other builds like CE necro for hell cows, gold find blizz for travs, etc.

I have a question for Enigma! Can anyone help with this? ... So because you have 156 str for the spirit shield, Why not choose a more beefier armor for enigma? Like ancient armor or somthing with more defence. Why not have an armor that needs like 150str ?? Please and thank you
Enigma gives you a big strength boost (67 str at level 90), so people like to have low enough strength that they only hit 156 AFTER equipping enigma. That lets you put more points in vitality.
Well, technically he is using self-found gear, but not gear found from his druid. I think it's pretty shitty though to call it self-found when it's like gg gear.
My SP self found wind druid is my Baal runner. He doesn't have enigma (yet, still 1 sur rune short...), but he DOES have THIS imgur.com/UYkDclw The freaking Countess dropped this beauty.

im using plugy mod. I did 10 000 lower kurast runs for hi runes. I have a video up legit making an enigma on single player. i also have a video up showing how to farm torch with a sorc on single player. ubers is easier on plugy for sure. if you still dont believe me well then idk what else to say

Hell requires tact with positioning especially.. using the tank bear works wonders as you're pushing.

Seen people use an A5 Merc with lawbringer weapon. Decripify procs often and sanctuary is pretty handy vs the many undead packs in the pits/mausoleum
D Man and the decrep last longer too from law bringer vs reapers toll. Act 5 merc is see a viable option for the windy druid
Im using that exact setup now on EU HC ladder ^_^ its great for running CS aswell ;)

one skill point in solar creeper, then you do not need the insight to regeneration mana

I played around with act 5 merc. he's okay def a different option. viable but I think the sanctuary knock back can get a little annoying sometimes
heh yeah, so can a druid lol. Interesting what you did though with holy freeze further boosting hurricane, never thought of that or tried it yet.
Wind Druid is character I am playing most, but man - I just realized how pathetic is mine Wind Druid. In all cases - thanks for this video.

Dude Jah and ber runes are difficult to find in single player. My highest rune drop in single player was Vex.

Just one thing : crushing blow works on tornado and it is insane damage for bosses if you want to do CS or Baal runs

I use dire wolfies in situation where there are for example few archer monsters packs around so I cast each wolf near each pack to distract archers.

You know you can hit Esc to close the cube/inventory instead of clicking the exit button.

Best setup for a merc on a budget IMO. Huge attack speed/crushing blow/decrepify/fade and life steal GG. People i played with would tell me 'holy shit your merc is a beast!'. He'd live through uber tristram :) He'd just be chillin in the middle of the map surrounded by adds slowly killing them.

hell is pretty easy to finish entirely in about 30 minutes once you have Enigma and reached lvl 65 with your druid :P

why would you use this build over a lightning sorc for pits?
@Scr8 Up Factz but wouldn't you likely already have better gear on a lightsorc from running countess to get HRs (Lo runes to make Bers)? So, just put the 2 bers into infinity instead of now having to use a Jah for enigma AND gear a druid? Just running for Lo runes to make Bers for infinity would have you with a CTA and HOTO with Spirit on main and switch. She'll also drop Shako/Vipermagi by then as well.
This is only assuming, you start with Sorc first on ladder reset. Though running to pits from outer cloister is theoretically doable without enigma. Even on single player without MH. I play on a private server where MH is allowed, not Bnet.
Maybe i've been doing it wrong all this time, but i go with Light Sorc first. Then I'll hell countess with bad gear and 700hp/maxblock to get infinity... kind of my new season routine. Then I'll farm until enigma and make Hdin, then grush 7 of my characters for other builds like CE necro for hell cows, gold find blizz for travs, etc.

How to assemble all the gears if you play Druid in single player? Enigma is the starting point.... Looks like most of your videos are in single player
Start with the sorc to get your gear and mule it to other characters using the plugy mod.
Is 6K tornado damage enough? I mean it sounds like a lot, but I mean stuff in hell has a ton of life. My hammerdin does 11K with hammers.

So because you have 156 str for the spirit shield,
Why not choose a more beefier armor for enigma? Like ancient armor or somthing with more defence. Why not have an armor that needs like 150str ?? Please and thank you
Enigma gives you a big strength boost (67 str at level 90), so people like to have low enough strength that they only hit 156 AFTER equipping enigma. That lets you put more points in vitality.

@@kosterix123 Plugy, but either one will do. I recommend you look up MrLlamas speedruns. He'll easily get to the 60s in 6-7 hours fully untwinked.
If you build you Enigma in a breast plate armor, u can actually make this build without placing a single point into Strength as well.

im using plugy mod. I did 10 000 lower kurast runs for hi runes. I have a video up legit making an enigma on single player. i also have a video up showing how to farm torch with a sorc on single player. ubers is easier on plugy for sure. if you still dont believe me well then idk what else to say
