This is a very well written video. I've been playing TF2 since the Uber Update and joined Siege at the start of Ember Rise. It's really sad to see a once thriving and flourishing game with an active community slowly dwindling and dying out, the neglect of TF2 and horrible idea implementations of Siege really stuck out to me. I hope for both games to return to their prime one day.
@@ntnyjskf7872 thats true, alot of bugs I've been having back then but it was really fun with no stupid balancing changes, siege really peaked during chimera and parabelum imo
Good news for tf2, not in a prime but bots are gone and it's a lot better at least, if it dies in this state, with no bots and people having fun, I am content.
??? Valve is still the best developer put there?? Just because they don't care about some overrated team shooter doesn't mean they are bad, they prioritize, and I don't think going for the band kid and older man demographic is a good choice to continue progress
@@donniex4650 TF2 hasn't had a content update or fixes to existing bugs for ages, no fixes to the anti cheat system. They kept adding paid cosmetics through a gambling system CS2 was put in the limited test as a buggy mess with no content, the first thing they added was the ability to open cases. Despite all the very blatant issues they released it in that state officialy and cut off the already existing, fully working game purely because they couldn't be bothered with reworking the skin infrastructure. The first thing they added was a new case. The only actual fixes were to the skins. A year after the game is still a buggy mess with a small amount of gameplay related content. The anticheat was turned off completely until very recently and it does a very poor job anyway. Dota 2 was majorly screwed up about a year ago and once again the focus is on the skins. Admittedly they're fixing some stuff every month but let's be honest, if Gabe wasn't playing the game himself it would be the same situation as their other IP's. On top of that we've got nothing in terms of Half Life except for a game that demands you pay anything above 400€ to play it, Portal has a half an hour long tech demo for the steam deck, Left 4 Dead fits it's title and Day of Defeat has been defeated a long time ago... I get that making games is not easy, especially when the expectation from them is as high as it is... But come on... CS2 didn't need some crazy new lag compensation that tries to do the impossible, it needed a visual upgrade and 128 tick servers, also ffs allow Classic Offensive guys to do their thing, TF2 would be fine with stuff from the modders thats polished enough not to break the game, Portal just needs more plot for the sequel, Left 4 Dead also just needed more of itself for the sequel and Half Life that finishes the original timeline would be great but now they put themselfes into a worse corner that they were in before Alyx. Instead we're getting Smite 2... Right when actual Smite 2 was announced... Before that we got Hearthstone but Dota... With 3 matches being played at the same time... At a point where people got bored of both Dota and Hearthstone... Did everyone at Valve forget that their games were not good because they were complicated but because they showed that what sounds simple on paper can be made into a game that is accesible to anyone yet is so deep that you can play it for hundreds of hours without feeling tired?
Deadlock is gonna be flooded with more bots and cheaters than TF2 from the first day because I bet they'll just slap VAC into the game and expect it to be fine. I'm calling it now.

the very nature of "live service" inherently means overtime game will drift away from its original vision, style, gameplay etc for good or ill (mostly ill)
Seeing what happened to Siege is sad. It was my main shooter for years, saved me (MP wise) when mediocre hero shooters & boring Battle Royale was on the rise. Now it's a mess.
Eventually the servers will go down, and you'll be stuck with a pretty and useless launcher. Make fun of my "boomer console games" all you like, sonny boy. I'm not the one who has to pay for his game every month, and will still have his game in seven years when the servers for yours shut down.
@@AkechiToo i think he tought the whole video would be about tf2, the video is nice but it feels like its missing something, the switch from r6s to tf2 feels to quick, nothing to tie the 2 games together, idk if i am exsplaining this correctly😅. Ither way good video
I hate the new R6 dev team but I do think removing the 1.5x and 2.0x sights was a great change because now you have to choose between having easier headshots but much more difficult to control recoil or have harder headshots but much much easier recoil control making it a trade off unlike before where the 1.5 was literally no recoil and easy headshots at the same time with no downside, the 2.0x could have stayed but I think I prefer that the ACOG is now the supreme sight just like the old days
Another video about TF2 which barely touches THE REAL ISSUES of the game's lifespan like the death of an artstyle, the switch of developers, meet your match, bloated content and etc. Dislike.
imagine yosuke and adachi playing rainbow six siege
TF2 is too good to just be a live service, but it became the first one and it basically kills this game.
In my opinion its mid
@@Sir_Zigyagreed, even though the only thing I hate about TF2 so far is community.

Might force them to fix VAC

I don't think Valve cares enough.
yeah but the question is, how do you fix VAC? Do you want them to implement a rootkit like Vanguard?

None the problems of these games have anything to do with their age.
Siege is from 2016.... you can find waaaaay more older still successful live service games (Guild Wars 2 for example)
TF2 deserves a remake
Interesting video, but there's also Gta online, which lasted a really long time as well but regardless, good content.
Deadlock is isn't Overwatch clone :3
wtf happy sky background
nice
I play TF2 and Overwatch, should I try rb6 now? Or is it poopoo now
Here before this blows up.
Valve's next game is not overwatch. It's dota 2 6v6 hero shooter. I would say it is definitely more like tf2 than overwatch.
