Being able to do all this shit is one thing, being able to express and explain what you are doing and why in real time is just next level, kudos Dash! Thanks for sharing you discoveries....
@@DashGlitch Morning buddy, I found your video last night as I saw a Granular Synth type thing by THENATAN called AURA and it's around $20 US at the moment, if there is a trial you might want to have a look, you can import your samples and mess with them, quite cheap for that kind of thing, as I say it's on sale....have a fun day! ;D
I have full versions of Vital, SynthMaster 1 and 2, Hive 2, all the Zebra versions and Omnisphere, FM8 and many others to name. Have to say they are all good! But I favor Vital and Hive the most. Thank you for all your videos on these. I have learned a lot from you. ✌🏻
Your Tutorials are great Dash! I am in love with Vital but not in the depth of your understanding. You are a great source of information thank you! The last sound also sounded a bit like something Deadmau5 would use in his production. And the LFO on the wavetable position that is absolutely cool! I want to try this in a new production from me
Very cool. I need to dust off vital again and play with it some more. Ive been writing DUb using mostly samples at the moment so none of my synths are getting much love.
What do think would be a good vst to do Iridium type granular synthesis ..that won't break the bank?! Pigments? Avenger2? Anything less expensive than these two? Thx
@@DashGlitch i see that I can get Phaseplant plus the expressive suite for 99.00 right now. I'll look into it - I'm m not into buying synths where it's based on additional add-ons so I'll see if this will be enough without buying any more additional add ons :)
Very nice tutorial but whenever i lead wavetables in the sound like absolutely dogshit, using the vocode thing makes things slighty better but not to an extend i am happy with
Dam! That is so cool and inspiring! I still can`t believe this synth is for free.... and I payed for a Serum license..?.. I LOVE Serum, but this comes close,-if not further. Great tutorial! Thnx. Have a great weekend😀cheers from Norway✌️🤘✌️🤘
Can't seem to get past the new wavetable sounding awful in the beginning, whereas your imported note sounds very clean from the beginning. I'm thinking that there's an issue wherein the length of the sample affects the 'granulated' output. Additionally, the pitch seems to drift if the LFO 1 position (determined by RAND 1) is set too fast, but I can't seem to find a sweet spot. Am I missing anything?
@@DashGlitch this is freaking awesome. I didn’t know vital could do this. Why is it important to put in the correct note? I do it but I don’t so much understand what it is doing
The creation of vital is a miracle

Thank you for watching!
Dash, how many times have you not been able to enter a room because your brain wouldn't fit through the door?
😂😂
that was smooth af ngl
He has brain shaped cutouts in all the doors in his house.
😂
I bet he can't remember as his mind is too full of music! ❤💯🙏
Cool! And a nice wink to Databroth. ;)
I kind of had the same idea, but lacked the Vital knowledge to make it work well. I've followed this step by step and I love it! Thanks
This is brilliant !
Thanks for the tip Dash, I guess am gonna granular every patch I make with Vital from now on 😅
this demo in itself was a really good ambient song. seems like very much abled as a live performance
Thank you so much for your passion in sounddesign....and that you share it ❤
That was so funny the way you almost instantly that you made the beautiful pad you wanted to glitch it up, like a little boy with a box of matches! 😅
Thank you! 😊

And just like that, granular with wavetables, phew! How freaking awesome is this, thanks!
You are the best experimental sound designer on UA-cam 💪
Gorgeous sound! Loved this!

same for me, hive has the best filter imho
Vital - this is such a synth
Not something I need for my sound creations, but I'm glad it exists for those that do have need of it. Another great Tut...
Very good technique for design!

Great concept here! Thanks for sharing
super cool technique, thanks for sharing
I played a C2 note on my acoustic guitar and used that as the base sound. i'm getting really interesting results with it.
sick sound! Great technique!
Bitcoin and Sound 🔥🕺
No second best
That's actually really cool! :D
Thanks for sharing! Have to try that with other synths, which allow for wavetable import, as well.
Fantastic. That pseudo-squelch in the end sounds great too.
yeah this is cool, nice and concise too.
Awesome!
Kept re-typing my comment, but it just doesnt express how cool this is, Dash you always keep me inspired!
Im getting portal OST - self espeem fund vibes. Sounds really good
You and you alone have taught me vital. I don't even like psytrance... I love it now!! Thanks
this is amazing i want to try this
Amazing tutorial!!
Thanks!!👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Wow this is insane.
Thank's, Man!

Oh damn, that's awesome!!!

Very nice Vital Series :).
very clever
Very intersting and creative!
Wooooah!
I just wish vital had the random unison mode from serum :’(
thats really cool dude
🔥🔥🔥🔥🥀🔥🔥🔥🔥
Hey I love your videos but do you have any to recreate skrillex like effects? I know it should be easy for you but for me it isn't too much :(
Groundbreaking stuff
That was amazing!
all killah, no filler
WHOA.... Could you do this for microfreak too
nice 👍
U inspired me to try this in Harmor 😁

Can this work with any music sample audio thinking maybe a drone that always evolving ?
Nice one!
5:43 when the jam session went hard
Excellenti if but Brief😎🇬🇧🆒🎶
Why not just randomize the wave table and skip a step?
Twin Peaks

Dash how would you setup a macro to randomize the frequency?
And this is free!
Divide the sample into different positions of the wavetable to achieve a similar principle to Granular, as expected of you💯
where can I find this wavetable?
any piano sample
So you can load samples into Vital?
yes either as wavetables or traditional sample

Until you subscribe then I smile lol :D
@@DashGlitch good play!! except ive been subbed since forever lol
Thank you! haha it was just a silly joke but I appreciate the support!
There are a million-and-a-half ways to do granular
Well actually, now there are 1 500 001 ways :)
what do you mean c2??? I cant figure that part out. Is that the note of the sample?
yea
@@DashGlitch ahhh gotcha thanks. I’m testing it out rn!!

@@chalbio so it relates to the incoming midi note
Was just wishing Vital had a granular engine.
???!!
Disappointed to see the granular on cover photo
