    I don't know if you meant to make your voice match the pads but everything worked in this video. I've never thought of using the random oscillators like this. It's absolutely mind blowing
    On the one hand your video makes me want to fall asleep, on the other my mind is racing as I want to open my laptop. 10/10

    This is honestly one of the best tutorials I've come across over the last 10 years, you got me out of a block I couldn't beat and made me rethink the way I approach pad design. 10/10, I'll send it to all my producer friends, and you just got yourself a new subscriber. Ciao from Florence, Italy!

    I've always loved the ambient pad sounds the most from a synth all the way back to when I was a teen in the 80's. The Artist Seal got me into that. Love his style of music. One of my influences.
    Not much a fan of buzzy sounds. To me that sounds like annoying mosquitos buzzing around my ears.
    I'm into my creative mode now due to this tutorial about pads.
    Thank you for this info.

    • @outerlives
      @outerlives  Рік тому +1

      Funny enough, someone on another video asked me this same thing, its just a basic reese in harmor with a deep lowpass and i usually layer it with a bit of distortion or saturation. This is the general preset i made for it though, just automate the level or lowpass to get that swelling sound.

    Hey man this is amazing, is this sound set to always be in C major with these settings?

    • @outerlives
      @outerlives  2 місяці тому

      Its based on whatever key you set in the transpose snap. Sadly theres no way to dynamically change it but you can set it to whatever notes or scale you want based on the key of your music.

      @@outerlives Thanks for your response! I'll be using this for a song i'll be releasing. Is there any way to ensure that for example by the end of the bar it ends on a high note or is that what you meant when you said that you can't dynamically change it? This is literally sound engineering and you are damn good at it, I am buying your Plugin pack on monday, cheers man

    i redid it it with a fresh project file and it still comes out sounding very gritty and rough. more of a distorted saw sound rather than lush pad. PLEASE HELP!

    • @outerlives
      @outerlives  6 місяців тому

      Im not sure where you might have messed up but if its sounding more saw like id assume you need to lower the filter a bit and maybe the drive or anything that might be causing it to distort?

    • @onety3578
      @onety3578 4 місяці тому

    hey whats the chord progression you used i realy love it but i cant figgure out what you put in the piano roll

    • @outerlives
      @outerlives  11 місяців тому

      Sorry i do not know chord notation well enough to accurately name them so i just typed out the notes in each chord 💀
      If you want to double check, in the intro the chords are highlighted in orange on the piano notes when the chord plays which makes it a bit easier to read.
      Heres the notes i got:
      F C G Ab C
      Eb Ab C Eb G
      Eb G Bb D G
      D G B D F
      F Ab C Eb G
      Eb G Bb D Eb
      Eb G Bb Eb G
      F Bb D Eb F
      Also ive started a new thing with another producer that I’ll probably be moving all tutorials to so you can check that out at youtube.com/@Anima-audio?si=pWvbSvCAVtU-VYLb

      Haha try lowering the resonance or lowering the cutoff. harsh resonance movements in the mids usually gives you more vocal sounding patches so try messing with the position or resonance amt.

  • @BlueBlahajProject
    @BlueBlahajProject 9 місяців тому +1

    I've just finished the tutorial and I'm using Vital within Logic Pro X, but my synth sounds nothing like yours despite following all the steps very carefully. I downloaded your preset and all of the waveforms are different. I feel really misled because in the results part of the video you show the same waveforms as mine but yours sounds so different.

    • @outerlives
      @outerlives  9 місяців тому

      Oh, the patch in the download should be identical to the final example. I saved it after recording the video so have you tried making sure the macros and all of that are similar to what i have? Also make sure that the scale snapping is set to the scale youre playing since it will sound out of key otherwise.
      Other than that i guess the only thing id say is to make sure your cutoff and filter are the same since even changing the filter type/resonance can really change the timbre.
      If anyone else has this issue lemme know and ill check the patch but i did export it after making the vid so it should be the same thing.
