I still have no idea how these videos get so little views. This is the best content for learning sound design/synthsis I've found. Wish you the best and I'm looking foreward to new tutorials.
Given that it's such a niche subject, I'm actually impressed that the views are that high. The number of people in the world who know what granular synthesis is has to be quite small.
@@dannyboycinco And you have to consider the number of people who do make sounds but wouldn't know what granular is. Many are musicians who play keys and just know about making basic synth patches or whatever their keyboard supports, ie. waveforms, FM, subtractive, etc. We're a different species.

Can't thank you enough for this video. It got me up off the sofa and I fiddled around with a granular synth using my voice as an input which led to me effortlessly finishing a song. This was the spark of inspiration 😀
Number 8 for me, i was looking for a background method for my chords, and hack number 8 was perfect. Thanks for teaching me something new. You gained one more subscriber. ♥♥
I know this is a year old tutorial video, but a cool thing you can do with the granular pads in tip one is to put a volume shaper of some kind (shaperbox, flux mini, lfo tool, etc) and give it that trance gate effect and automate the rate. Stuff like that is used a lot in stuff like trance, witch house, wave and hardwave, etc.
Number 10 definitely! I don't have Quanta, but Oi Grandad! can do something like it in this case: definitely a keeper. And number 2 would be second-favourite: I'm always a sucker for different ways of making pads from unlikely sources. And thanks for the inspiration to look more closely at the plugins I already have.
Great sound design! I have an idea/tip regarding the last technique, although it works for many others (like the drum one). Put a delay onto the sample, make it sound distinct enough, and then render and drop into Quanta. Samples with dynamic FX like delay give great effects. Also try: after rendering the delay-fxed sample, inverse it.
I've just "discovered" your channel. So many awesome techniques in this video, and my favorite is the very first one. Definitely will incorporate them in my next tracks, so thank you for sharing!
i've always wondered why the pitch shifting plugins i used sounded so grainy up or down. turns out, i've been using this the whole time! (or at least a more primitive vst compared to this space shuttle of a plugin)
Love your videos, thank you so much for making them! really inspiring! You know so many cool sound-design tricks! Bought Soulect super cool presets!:) Greetings from Norway!
awesome video bro. Now there are a bunch of videos that ive watched on all these different granulizers such as Sound Toys Crystallizer, Fruity Granulizer 2, Portal by Output, and a some others. Which do u think is the best? I know they all have their qualities but if u could pick any 2 which would u say are best? Im assuming since u already have quanta u like it alot? pls lmk. Thanks!
This is great, I am currently choosing to use granulator midi rack on ableton, however I really enjoy the plug-in you are using. Is there any way to get the grains in time with the bpm of the track? Just curious?
If you have FL Studio they have fruity granuliser. Emergence. Free Ribs. Free Grain strain. Free Arturia efx fragments. Paid Native instruments. Form. Paid.
I have just bought this plugin and no matter what sample I drag in it sounds the same, I used default preset to get a feel for the plugin and now it is stuck on every sound, unless I change it to one of the other horrible presets. I have never had such a horrible experience with a plugin straight away, please help me

little amount of people want to create this kind of stuff
There aren’t many of us sound design nerds who enjoy this type of content

I love watching your videos for inspiration. This video is very clearly structured and inspires me to get into the DAW. Thanks for that!

The last example with regards of time scratching was actually quite good and the quality was actually much better than in Paul stretchX
So cool and useful, thanks! The keys is my fav😍
Your videos helped me a bunch for a the last 4 years! Always used your Serum preset packs, too. Thanks for everything🎉
Amazing tutorial, great ideas, well done! Nr 6 is my favourite, sounds very cool with those fills.

Its nice but won't it just feel like you are copying IMANU?
Imanu is the only challenger to Flumes throne
He lacks the emotional depth of flume imo but maybe from a production standpoint sure
@@diegomiranda8621 I agree and disagree, flume is much deeper. Imanu makes a smile into a song
What about Porter Robinson?
@@jorgea.2318 he is up there defo
