I dont like big knives generally... but now I want one..impressed!
haha yeah this Tundra III Camp knife is very easy to like. Really cool campknife and great peroformance! Merry Christmas!
Excellent video!!!
Thank you!!😄👍
love your videos
Thanks a lot!!😁👍
Beautiful and amazing knife 👍🏻
Thanks! We think so too😁👍
I received my Tundra III Camp with black canvas micarta last December. It's not a sabre grind but a full-height convex grind. And I absolutely love it! It's amazingly light and is fast and nimble in the hands. What it needs is a good kydex sheath for better retention and more carry options. Really fun video, BTW. Cheers...
Thanks a lot😁👍! Absolutely great knife and amazing behaviour for such a long knife! Great stuff 👍 cheers!
That's a real knife, very nice video guys! Well, BarkRiver is just a joy!👏👍🔪👈👌😉
Thanks a lot! haha yeah really cool knife! Really fun to use
@@westcoastbushcrafters Great😊🙂
I know it is an old design, but in my opinion one of the best in the world, so I hope you will soon highlight the Stromeng Leuku for a good all-out test.
Hi! Yeah indeed, great design! Very functional and great looking. Strömeng episode is on the planning😁👍. Cheers!
Can't wait mine arrives tomorrow. Had broke another larger knife and sold off some others and wanted one good all around one. Between this and my BR bushcraft scout and Mora Garberg I think I will have most task small and large covered.
Hi! How is the knife? Are you happy with it? Cheers!
@@westcoastbushcrafters I absolutely love it, it's a big knife but handles like a much smaller knife, it has become my go to for any taks larger or camp oriented and will be in my pack for years to come
Fantastic! It truley is a awesome knife! Enjoy it and take care!
I really love my Tundra I. I am thinking about buying the three, but not sure I need that much blade 😂
You will get a lot of blade😂. It is an beautiful and awesome knife with good slicing capacity👍
I love mine, although it is a canadian Camp 2 - the blade is the same but the handle is different.
Awesome! How do the finger grooves work out for you? Do you prefer with or without if you could choose?
@@westcoastbushcrafters As I have Big hands sige 10/11, they workshop Well for me. Especially with w’et or slipper fingers. So I am happy with it all though I Can aknowledge the need for s different handle. Love your channel
cool video and field test. looks strange a bit like a machete 😁
Thanks a lot! It does doesnt it. We like it a lot!
Great video, guys! Looks like a really great camp knife! Have you tried to sharpen it already?
Thank you very much! We have not tried sharpen it yet. Will be fun to do. Out of the box it was crazy sharp.
The Canadian style knives - like the Tundra, and the Sami knives, like your Leuku, usually do not have any finger guard. I think guys like Caleb Musgrave would say that a knife is more versatile without a guard, because we can use more grips comfortably. I wonder what you two would say about that? I have used knives and axes extensively, my whole life, but still like to have some sort of finger guard. There have been times when I am out on the trail in Jämtland, or when I was up at Sarek, when I am tired and have been hiking in a cold rain - having some guard, like on the Bravo 1.5, or even my Lars Fält knife, lets me know how close my hand is getting to the blade. What do you think?
General use like batoning, cutting and feathersticking it is nice to have a finger guard. Especially when putting a lot of force on the knife or in cold conditions with thick gloves or dubble gloves you would like to know that you do not hit the glove with the edge. When doing the fine carving stuff I can imagine it is nice to have a knife without finger guard. In that case the level of concentration on that task is often quite high so that should help keeping your fingers safe.
How is it in comparison to the Canadian Camp 2?
Hi! Unfortunately we can not do a field test comparison but looking at the specs the Tundra is a little bit bigger and the biggest difference is the handle. Tundra has the Aurora handle and Canadian the typical Canadian (special) type of handle.
@@westcoastbushcrafters my canadian camp is 1/4 inch stock thickness
British Columbia?
Sweden 🇸🇪😁👋
I feel badly for the tree. Only tree around.
Haha 😂 yeah we did as well but we tried to do it as smooth and painless as possible. No more trees have been injured after that👍
Wow! That intro had to have been the most pointless I've ever seen, mad props!
