Really feels like a new golden age for Fallout. The show comes out, the games get popular again, and we even got Fudgemuppet uploading great videos. The nostalgia is real. Would love to see more builds guys!
@@leotostes It's...really not. Logical inconsistencies out the wazoo, characters whose behavior makes no sense except to high-school freshmen with ADD, crapping all over the lore... For example, it makes no sense for Vault-Tec to have participated in starting the nuclear war. Yes they'll technically be the wealthiest if they survive, but their money will be worthless. That's not even the behavior of fat cats like Lenin, who discovered that he could keep all the money if he convinced everyone to give theirs up and remove upward mobility in the name of equality. Vault-Tec was intent on space exploration, and most of their experiments weren't just sadism: they were experiments to test expected effects of long-term space travel or conditions of isolation, tyranny and balkanization on the human body and mind. That's just one example: the Fallout show is just plain bad. It doesn't respect its own lore and doesn't respect its audience. The only reason it's getting any praise is that it's better than most of the awful stuff on offer currently, but quality should not be graded on a curve. If I had Taco Bell diarrhea yesterday and a solid log of crap today, the log might be more aesthetically pleasing and not smell quite as bad, but neither one is suitable to be served for dinner.
Step One - Build a power armor build, extending your fusion cores, getting science and armorer up, building stats, etc. Use whatever weapons you want, since early heavies are trash. Get good power armor. Step Two - Get a gatling laser (find, buy, or build with a workshop forge when you have Science 4 at lv 41). Even without a legendary modifier, you can run the game with one. Get a missile launcher as well, quad barreled, and put a targeting computer on it. Max heavy weapons and explosives. At this point, you are going to be able to end anything in the game with a missile or two and will be living off of fusion cores for fuel and ammo, and they both will last ages. Step Three - Do the new quests to get even more broken power armors and the broken tesla cannon. In fact, get both the tesla cannons and turn one into an area blaster and the other into the chain. Max out your X02 with the mods to do energy damage around you. There isn't any secret or subtlety to heavy weapons - it is a gear based build that doesn't even require legendary drops.
I've been watching FudgeMuppet since the very early days, 11 years now. This may be the most zany video I've seen any of the lads do. Well done as always.
before anyone asks i dont care that this is in the "builds" playlist this is NOT a fudgemuppet build sorry not sorry but theres a certain flair missing among other things
Hey, I did almost this build, and it was one of my favorite runs! I sacrificed Luck for getting to Blitz, Party Girl, and Rooted as fast as possible. It made leveling a bit slow, and considering I eventually leveled it to 6 for Better Criticals, I'd probably start it at 5 now. Honestly, the criticals don't matter, Blitz x Strength is already busted. Which I buffed nearly any way I could. Most fights, I just drank an Ice Cold beer or Borcov's Moonshine. But for bigger fights or legendary beasts, I did Ice Cold, Bourbon, and Dirty Wastelander, in that order.
You can grab the deathclaw gauntlet at the deathclaw nest you find if you choose to return the egg from the devils due at any point in the game. Super useful early game for unarmed builds
Thank you! I didn't want to cheese kill Swan it felt like not staying true to the build for me so I went and got the gauntlet instead. I didn't kill the Deathclaw inside witch museum I just ran past got the egg and gtfoutta there
I’ve been playing on survival and got to level 70 before deciding to take a break. I only went to Salem for the death claw gauntlet and a power fist. Also kinda miffed that ninja doesn’t boost unarmed sneak as much as reg melee
Melee was always better than unarmed in these games, the only exception i can think of is Fallout 2. Turns out that fists will never be as good as rocket powered magic hammers or chainsaws and what not
@@tomaszpawlik5091 New Vegas is pretty good with unarmed but because you’re levelling both skills to get the best perk it’s kinda equal footing. 76, to its credit, improved where fallout 4 failed with unarmed
@@Capta1nAsh kinda, but not really. New Vegas has similiar issue as 4 in a sense that melee has more tools. Strength boosts melee dmg, quite a bit actually, but didn't unarmed. Unarmed has Universal special moves where melee has each weapon being unique inside and outside of vats, numbers on unarmed seem lower in general and elijah ramblings perk doesn't touch unarmed and (imo) most importantly unarmed lacks good automatic weapons. Thermic lance is by far the best melee weapon in game, the unarmed is avilable way later with an dlc and even then its still not even as good
I don’t mean to be that guy that loves New Vegas and bashes 4, but unarmed was the best in New Vegas. Backwards power attack and stomping is OP. But I just started 4 again, and I’m doing power armor so I felt like it made more sense to do melee weapons instead. I might make another character to finally try out unarmed, but it’s slow going on my first character because I’m playing Survival mode.
I had a character similar to this, but he used melee. He thought he was Grognak reborn. He didn't do *that* much damage, but he did one-shot a few deathclaws.
It would be interesting to see how powerful you can make a character that doesn't depend on the chems, booze, and gear. What could you do with pure skill of the character? Add the bobbleheads, books, and the weight bench or pomel horse, because those don't have time limits. Maybe I'll see what I can work up. Good video!
AHAhHa ..... "Sends the wrong message" ROFL Nice update to the Gladiator. Makes we wish I could give this build to Cait. HA! Realism would mean you wake up hours later .... the one-punch Alpha Deathclaw wasn't real - BUT rubble that used to be the Lighthouse lays at your feet. ; )

the mere fact that this is not only a possible, but also a very viable way of playing the game is why I love Fallout 4
Don’t forget the unarmed bobblehead, at Atom Cat’s Garage for another 25% damage boost.
I would like to add that it is a 25% critical damage boost haha not a flat 25% damage boost.
