Moved here from Florida in 2016, what a beautiful city! It's got everything usually only the biggest cities like NYC has but is affordable and easily has the best architecture in the nation . These houses are unbelievable and most are in beautiful condition inside. Hardwood floors and trim, rookwood fireplaces beveled and stained glass . wow!
You are my must important reference of turistic guide of Ohio, my organisation, SIOP are now in Colombus, OH, tel me about this place. Thanks for you support
Eric could you comment on the Asian American population in Cincinnati and if you think they are well represented? Are there local politicians and elected leaders who are Asian American or who are in touch with their needs? How does the Asian food compare to larger cities like Chicago or New York? Low cost of living is great but I'm wondering what it's like to be AAPI or other people of color in a city that appears to be largely either white or black. Thanks!
There isn't a large Asian population in the city of Cincinnati, however the mayor is Asian American. The suburb of Mason also has a somewhat large Asian American population.
Living on Northern Kentucky side as Asian, I feel Asian are definitely minority here. However, I don’t think I am treated any less. Generally, most people are kind and welcoming. My neighbors are awesome, people help each other and actually communicate with neighbors. Kids are happy at school too. Very peaceful. I got punched in the face when we visited western Kentucky area where people saw me like I am something else. That is definitely not that case in this area. In Cincinnati, there are many international grocery stores as well. Compare to large city, options are less but I can buy everything from store without relying on Amazon. For employment, there are lots of international companies in this area. Many companies appreciate and value diversity as well.
Pittsburgh and Cincinnati are highly attractive cities right now.
I'm moving to norther kentucky from San diego exactly for this reason!
