*Who’s going to take the Y method out on the golf course this weekend?*

Excellent, as expected, on this chipping session.
One thing id like you cover is getting out of the sand with close ups on the club entering the sand and follow through. Seeing this would be a great help.
      Cheers,

Hi Alex, I just got back from the course and I really need to thank you! The Y method worked great. Once I tied it, it was effortless. Now I just have to work on the distance a little bit. Thanks again!

Hi Alex I only have 3 wedges and they are GW, PW & SW I have been struggling with my GW but did much better last week and with your advice I’m hoping I can have better results tomorrow 16/3/24. Thx again for a great video

Played 9 holes today first 3 shocking, then remembered what you said about splitting the card up and then really focused on the Y for shots around the green and the second half of the round was so much better. TY for yet another great vid which really works.

This is one area where I struggle within my game as a lot of times I’m hitting the back of the ball and it shoots way over the other side of the green. Thx Alex for a great video

Keeping it simple for us as ever Alex. Thanks - I will take this onto an on course practice and add to it the 3 position distance training…hopefully it’ll make me more assured when I have a 40, 60, 80 yard shot to the pin in whatever position and lie…where shots are added or subtracted

Definitely going to work on this, around the greens has been a problem for a while.
On another note, I put a 5 hybrid in the bag last year, haven't really it it very well, at least not as well as I expected. I watched your recent video about hybrid location in the stance. Played the next day, needed to hit a slight, high draw around a tree to an elevated green, playing about 185 yards. Set up, remembering your video, high draw, into the hole. Have been playing that hole over 50 years, first time I've ever eagled it. Thanks for the tip!!

Excellent job Alex in explaining and demonstrating this valuable chipping method! I like the "Y" technique together with the "belly button" drill and will be something I will be implementing! I also like the use of different clubs for different scenarios. Well Done Alex!

Great video and vital for early season especially. Something shared with me decades ago and I will suggest to cover the little open stance/Y position better of tossing a ball. You face the target more. I'll say toss me a ball. Always people will face me. No toss from the side of the body. You don't flick to toss or a jerky movement. Just a smooth toss facing me. They can even toss the ball to get a feel of how hard to actually make a swing. Develop the feel. Just a couple things that help me and others I've helped.

This is brilliant. Also, I like this method of instruction. Could you possibly do a video where you play 1 to may 2 holes from Tee shot to putting, but explaining each shot. ie thought at address , ball positioning, aim and club selection, etc ? I ask because of the way my brain will absorb and retain this type of instruction.
Thanks for your amazing videos and keep them coming 👏👍

Alex I have a question for you I use a 56deg gap wedge around the green but sometimes I’m not striking the ball correctly and I don’t know whether its to do with my stance or where I need to grip the club. Could you do a video on just this question using a GW only say from 25yds to edge of green as this would really help me out with my chipping.

Obviously still needs practice. But this is an excellent video of short game skills.

@@AlexElliottGolf hi Alex, I was referring to the “give me 8 minutes…” video on pitching with multiple clubs. The set up seems to be the same, but in that video you talked about how to have even amounts of grip showing, so I believe you were gripping down on the club. Is that the same in this lesson?
      Thanks!
