The Try channel, where the only thing truly offensive is mentioning Peanut Butter! LOL
I call it penis butter,,, I won't eat either or neither
Neither me 😣. Pre-chewed, disgusting, should be outlawed, wallpaper paste 😤
Everyone was soo ON this episode (*including the editors) and the video is longer too...perfect❤❤❤
I love peanut butter. There are no words to describe how much I love peanut butter.
True!😂😂😂😂😂
Those sweet onion rings OH MY GOD I miss them 😭❤️
You're gorgeous
Well damn , guess im going to have to send you an assortment of different brand onion rings to try now ... Lol
I just developed Sweet Onion Ring cologne by OMG...
Love your choice of shirt. Especially since I'm from Minnesota, Prince's birthplace.
I'm American, and I'm still confused by the "taffy" cookies. I glad they were good for y'all.

You two guys were hilarious, I can see a comedy TV series with you guys in the future, you bounce of each other like pros.

Me, the QUEEN of Hawaiian shirts is not wearing one for this shoot? WHAT IS THIS INJUSTICE 🌺
Nicole O'Connor I look good Nicole
The Try Channel cgi team was not able to fix it in post?
But you still look fabulous!
Just be thankful you didn't have to compete with Ciara on alcohol this time.
Shame on you! But you’re still gorgeous 🥰
You would like a (Lay.)😂 Lei.
Still can't believe I randomly wore a Hawaiian shirt the day we ended up trying Hawaiian foods. THE HAWAIIAN GODS FATED IT! Mahala!(*MAHOLO)
Wait...MAHALO? 🤣
Yes mahalo
You pleased them, so they made all the peanut butter products get lost and replaced them with matcha chocolate.
Go drink at a Tiki Bar tonight in their honor.
You need to add a “cousin” after mahalo...
eg: Mahalo cousin, mahalo
So... did the matcha chocolate taste like a peanut butter cup? 😂
Should have had Melemacs: macadamia nuts covered in toffee, then covered in chocolate, and then dusted with powdered sugar. Little bites of heaven.
Lol - see? Now I'm angry that I don't have a bag of those in front of me right now!! Hahaha
I think I just came
Justine's laugh at that second "Waka Flocka" is everything. Made my heart happy.

Ciara “Oh my god”
Nicole “holy shit”
Awesome video editing 👏
as a maui resident, i am sorely disappointed to not see any li hing mui stuffs. it is basically our unofficial state snack powder coating that goes on pretty much everything
Sounds interesting. Do you shop at Tokyo Central? They have a Hawaiian section. Do you have a recommended snack that contains li hing mui?
@@Vidchemy li hing mui itself is a snack, its a dried seed, but the main thing that makes it so is the powder

Major sweet onion varieties in the U.S.: Maui; Walla Walla; Texas Sweet; Vidalia.
There were Mayan Sweets for a while, up until about 7-8 years ago, but haven't seen one since.
Yes. It's a combination of the variety of onion (granex) and the soil (low in sulfur).
Exactly. Fuck you Kansas!

Peanut butter cups... Made in heaven...
"it's not like a peanut butter cup because you can put it in your body and it's not going to ruin your life." 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Ciara and Nicole together... my two favorite Irish ladies.
Ok... I'll come clean... they all are.
Snack packages in the U.S. always have the disclaimer: "This package is sold by weight, not by volume." They use an oversized bag and partially fill it with air to help prevent the bag containing nothing but crumbs when the consumer finally buys it.
It also supposedly contains some kind of preservative
They usually fill the bag with nitrogen to keep any oxygen away from the food. It's to prevent oxidation.
All bullshit! The real reason they do it is to destroy everyone's hopes, dreams, and expectations upon opening the bag. Those bastards get a kick outta it.
As someone who lives in Hawaii, this video absolutely made my day. Aside from the crisps though, the other stuff I don’t eat regularly. Mahalo from oahu!
Hawaii loves Spam, as so a whole lot of other places the US had military posts. The military would get Spam shipped in and sold it to the locals who were lacking protein foods. There are cookbooks centering around Spam.
Unfortunately the Hawaiian’s addiction to Spam has led to an obesity problem.
@@BeagleLove13 I don't think it was Spam alone that did it. Many of the nations the US military had involvement with were forced or otherwise gave up their native way of eating in favor of imported foods, including tons of sugar, carbohydrates upon carbohydrates, a lot of fatty meats often (used to be meat had to be hunted so it wasn't always available, and now the fatty cuts are cheaper than the lean cuts). The change in their religion brought on other negative things. And just like everywhere, a change in life style and the type of work we now do, more sedentary, is making a lot of people obese. Automation has it's drawbacks.
Pacific islands aren't particularly large, and so the largest animal were wild hogs. Killing and serving up a pig was a huge deal. Think of a luau. Pork was prestigious, the prerogative of chiefs. During WWII the US military began shipping in Spam, basically the Meal, Ready to Eat of its era, and Polynesians embraced Spam, sort of a "Where have you been all my life?" reaction. I don't think anyone was "forced" to give up their native diet. Hawaiians have become connoisseurs, and have a variety of ingenious ways to prepare Spam. Of course, the problem is the stuff is terribly high in sodium and just plain unhealthy.
The big Hormel cannery is here in Minnesota, and I have a local recipe that's delicious, but again, the stuff is bad for ya:
Slice a bunch of soft white buns. Smear mayonnaise on the top half, not real mayonnaise, that would be too healthy; use some processed, sweet Miracle Whip. Lay the lower half of the buns on the top rack of your oven, lying atop aluminum foil. Chop the Spam into small cubes; pile as many as you can on each lower bun. Chop up some sweet, red Vidalia onions, and sprinkle the onions atop the Spam. Get some processed American cheese: Velveeta. Slice up some strips about five inches long and 3/4 inch wide and lay these across the onions and Spam. Lay the buns with mayonnaise about the aluminum foil wherever there's space, and turn on the top heating element. When the cheese melts, the mayonnaise bubbles and caramelizes around the edges, and the Spam and onions are glistening, pull the sandwiches out of the oven. My mom used to make these. They're so delicious, I'll eat half a dozen in a sitting. But again, a health hazard. I've tried healthier alternatives: real pork instead of Spam. Better cheese. None of them work. Spam, Velveeta, onion, and Miracle Whip -- accept no substitutes, but eat 'em only once or twice a year.
@@jaykaufman9782 Nice recipe but I like an ultimate egg slut with SPAM myself: ua-cam.com/video/PKCT-XJaOwQ/v-deo.html
@@BeagleLove13 obesity is overeating in relation to activity. Simple really.
Fat people are fat cause they eat more than they should. Don't blame spam or mcds.. don't eat cake all the time and get off your ass!
I laughed through this whole vid.
I'm part Irish and live in Hawaii. This is one of my favorite vids next to the whiskey ones.
halfbreed808 Ahhh, which part of you loves/hates Peanut Butter? 😀
Yes, finally. I’m from Hawaii and I’ve been suggesting Hawaiian snacks/food for a while
Now that the snacks are out of the way they need to try proper Hawaiian foods. Mauna pua, kahlua pig, etc.
Suggesting certain foods doesn't do any good. You have to actually send them some, which somebody did.
This should be "the most Irish people have liked anything on this show." Mitch chose well.

Y'all are amazing!! Thank you for bringing some light to an otherwise dreary day here in Seattle!!
Y'all don't use the green screen nearly enough. 😅
In the US crisps are packed in a larger air filled bag to keep the crisps from getting crushed and broken.
WAKA FLOCKA!!! 😂
Is there a Wikipedia dedicated to Ciara's band t-shirt collection? If not, why not?
'remember the 90's?'
I sure do, such simpler times.
Tryers and The Try Channel - Thank you for exploring the flavors of Hawaii! BTW the “taffy” name for the biscuits had me confused too - it’s not at all like the chewy taffy in the mainland U.S. But Hawai’i can do whatever it wants! It’s a magical place. - thank you for the humor and entertainment. - Mitch from Texas
Those looked like fantastic snacks you sent in! Very generous of you!
Great job.I like the crew you assembled to taste snacks. They are a fun bunch. Peace out..
In Hawai'i, Spam is Haute Cuisine. Seriously. Something like 12 flavors of Spam are available in HI. You do find it in all the best restaurants.
Someone from Jersey should send them a box of salt water taffy
Will do.
Gary Davis DONE & DONE! Just waiting for summer now though
Why would you do that to them?
Make sure to get some peanut butter ones in ;^)
ALL VIDEOS SHOULD BE TEN MINUTES OR MORE!!!!💪🏻💪🏻😎😎
"This is like a snack for stoners"
*Cuts to Ciara and Nicole*
I can see it...
The reason there's so much air (nitrogen, actually) is to keep the contents from being broken during shipping and on the way home in your grocery sack. The chips, crisps, onion rings, etc are sold by weight, not volume. 😉
"A snack for stoners." And an IMMEDIATE cut to Ciara groaning with pleasure. 🤣🤣👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 Nice edit!

Pineapple isn't even popular in Hawai'i unless you're a tourist haha.
@@maipoina-xk5zk true, but since the tourists outnumber the natives, I stand by my statement 😂
You're right... transplants have taken over; therefore, pineapples would be more popular to their pallet 🤣
The spam flavor is actually not that surprising. Considering spam is very popular in Hawaii (Almost the National food). During WW2 spam was a part of rations given to soldiers and civilians. It never really faded out of use after the war.

But the cost to send the items fresh to ireland $$$$$$$$

In Hawaii Spam is very popular! Its even on the menu at McDonald's! Its cheap and lasts a long time! Its an island...they have some natural resources but a lot of there food is from the mainland!
When this was starting I had an awful thought... "Where are Durian fruit grown? Dear Irish Jesus, don't let it be Hawaii."
If it was a durian video they would have gotten Justine. Her therapist pays them a commission.
@@joshwehrmeyer898 That poor girl has been in EVERY Durian fruit video. RIP Justine's Durian-damaged soul.
Durian is not bad, you just need to eat it fresh off the tree.
And don't eat if if you've been drinking or will be drinking alcohol. There's an actual chemical reaction which may take place, causing death.
Aside from that, it's delicious.
Thinking about it, I may have an idea as to why all the Irish folks on Try have problems with Durian....
Mahalo Texas! Good selection of stuff.
Late comment: Taffy has the same consistency as very stiff but still flexible caramel but tastes like some fruit sneezed near a yoga mat.
The extra air is in the bag to keep other bags from crushing the chips when they are on the shelf in the store, or in the box on the way to be stocked.
The amazing thing about Hawaiian shirts is that they're never wholely appropriate, but rarely beyond the pale.
