- This is the eighth video in my new 'Back to Basics' series which aims to teach the basic design shapes in traditional flower arranging/floristry. In this video I teach you about a diagonal design and guide you step-by-step from start to finish.
The 'Back to Basics' series is ideal for beginners looking to train as a florist or start a new hobby with arranging flowers. These tutorial videos are also suitable for intermediate arrangers looking to update their skills.

This is an amazing, beautiful and in a way very simple design. Love it. Definitely doable. I would probably add some weight in this kind of light weight vase to add some secure (sand or pebbles). Thanks, Sharon, you are born to teach.
