Anna was a great character. She told Jacintha that she could take or leave her life that should’ve been a warning. I’m not surprised that a coward like Jacintha took the cowards way out. I’m disappointed that I didn’t get to see her torn apart by walkers. Great finale!!
I didn't really catch it the first time but upon second watch, when Carol first found Daryl again, she was saying things left and right to get Daryl to say he was going to go home with her. She saw that he was attached to the people in France and was worried he wouldn't want to go home. She was desperate to here him say that he would go with her so if she knew Rick was alive, I think she would have pulled that card and told him in order to get Daryl to go home for sure. I think Carol was gone before Rick got back. I don't think she knows. Like I said, if she knew, she would have used that to talk Daryl into saying he would head home with her right away. It took him a while.
The reason they are going to England is because in the first season, Losang told Daryl that the boat he would be first catching would take him to England, then he would board a larger boat. They are going to England to find that larger boat that Losang spoke of.
If this is the last time we see Codron, they really did him dirty after perfectly making them good with each other and even possibly friends one day. Besides everything else, I really enjoyed everything and the season overall.
I don’t think so either. He’s too important of a character. He’s running out of the Chunnel, he’s getting away from the mushroom spores, getting more oxygen. He’ll figure out what happened and he will catch up to Daryl & Carol.
I saw in the "inside the episode" on AMC+ that they used black light paint to make the walkers glow. And that they had made a lifemask of Carol in the first season of TWD because they were originally going to kill her but then decided against it.
They didn't decide against it the actor that plays carol(I don't know her name)begged not to be fired and they eventually decided to fire tdog instead, she talked about it years ago
Thank you guys for your reviews they always help me get what i missed and make me understand what i missed... I loved the fireflies around Isabelle made me tear up... I thought to myself how could Carol leave Daryl ... and when i saw the empty chair I gasped lol... Ash will take care of Laurent ... doesn't Commonwealth have planes... You know Rick will go after them... We need a Rick and Daryl reunion but it won't happen anytime soon ... so much Book of Daryl and Carol to tell.... Dang now what do we have to watch on Sundays now lol... thanks again guys
I don’t think it’s the batshit, it’s the fluorescent mushrooms found later in the Chunnel. The spores of the mushrooms would be released as they’re walking through the Chunnel & just like cordyceps or like magic mushrooms, they experience hallucinations. The criticism is misplaced. It was a great finale. If you put together all the facts, it all makes sense. Fallou told them that England was the best place to find a boat to America. That would make sense considering the UK is an island nation.
They got to England you see it in the trailer. Being shipwrecked on the North Spanish also makes sense. The Bay of Biscay has some of the toughest waters I’ve experienced. A lot worse than the North Atlantic or the South Atlantic. Except maybe the Drake passage where three oceans meet.
I enjoyed the whole thing. I thought the firefight just ending after the plane took off was a little strange if anything. As for Codron, they're going down the same tunnel as Codron. Unless he slips out a hatch, they're bound to run into him
Fans are complaining about the Chunnel scene but it makes if you put all the facts together. Including the boat that was supposed to pick up Daryl was from England. Their boat crashing Scots are Brits, which would be easier to get through the Brit checkpoint. The Scots don’t know the checkpoint collapsed because of fluorescent mushrooms causing hallucinations. It’s the premise of The Last of Us. Cordyceps take control of their victims brain after inhaling the spores.

My theory is Laurent will tell Rick (who is now back home) about Daryl and Carol… and the two along with the Civic Republic will be coming to rescue them along with anyone who needs in Europe. It’s the beginning of reshaping the world.
Andrew Lincoln said the only way he will return is if Danai and Gimple have a good story, what you wrote is a terrible storyline also Ricks story is done,no more random rescue missions

Not only would it give the Rick and Daryl reunion, it will give the Civic Republic a footprint in Europe. While yes I agree there’s a better way to do the reunion I think it works great for a grand scale on TWDU. Regarding the reunion itself, it wouldn’t be so much of a Rick storyline as much as it would be Daryl. So as far as impacting his happy ending I don’t see any real issues with it. Yeah, guys, don't know if the finale was a banger, but a least it was a solid transitional ep to season 3. Kinda doubt we'll see Codron again. It did leave the Laurent story with Ash open ended. Maybe it'll connect with Rick. I hear we're supposed to get a big annoucement soon about his next TWD project. Guess will see that down the road. Great watch, guy, love watching the TWD stuff with some true fans. Til the next 👍
Yeah I'm on board what you guys are saying the first half felt more of a ending finale but it just suddenly went slow and there was some good dialogue don't get me wrong , and the similarities with dead city when they were hallucinating in the tunnels , I think they should of had a post credit with something connecting and a surprise that would of made up for it
First of all, love this show and love your reactions! The plane taking off scenes were nailbitingly great. I'm with Jarrell on not liking the whole tunnel sequence though. It didn't make sense for a variety of reasons. I didn't understand what the point of the Scots was. Like, why were they even there? They didn't do any guiding. Daryl, Carol & Codron could have found their way to the chunnel without them. They didn't tell our group about the guano until they were in the chunnel. If they knew about the guano, why didn't they bring gas masks or tell the others to bring gas masks? If it was a set up to rob them, what were they even after? There was just no point. Codron just running off was so dumb. That character deserves better. As far as Spain goes, I'm starting to wonder if they filmed in Spain for budgetary reasons, but the 3rd season does take place in the UK? Just a thought. We'll find out pretty soon!
The Chunnel does make sense if you put all the facts together. Fallou told them that England would be the best to find a boat back to the US. The boat that was supposed to pick up Daryl from Normandy in the first season was from England. Their boat crashing on the North Spanish coast also makes sense because it’s some of roughest waters I’ve experienced, even worse than the North Atlantic.
R.I.P. Anna 😢, another lady killed off for no reason. I hope we see Codron again. He and Daryl made a great team. I’m with you guys I wanted to see Jacinta get ripped apart. So now it begs the question what happens to the rest of Genet men and the underground club? And I did not enjoy the tunnel scene at all.
I've really enjoyed this season even though I am still not over Isabelle's death to make room for Carol but over all it was a good season I've really enjoyed your guys reactions from this season I am so excited for both Dead City season 2 and Daryl Dixon season 3 Next Year Have a great day Josh and Jarrell
Honestly, I don't mind where Daryl and Carol would go next, I will follow their journey til the end. Also, we weren't supposed to know they would be going to Spain, anyway. It can be just a stop and a temporary location, kind of similar to what they did with Greenland. We won't know until season 3.
The into sequence was a definite tease for what happens but then again filming in Spain, yet the location is my home the UK... that is pretty nuts to be honest. Since Andrew Lincoln is English, he could've popped over in S3 to say hello.
I honestly think she doesn’t know Rick is back. Like she left before they returned cause all she talks about it Laurent growing up at the commonwealth and nothing about the can cause if I’m correct, Rick and michonne was going to take everyone to the crm where they had that big city now that all the bad people are dead. Maybe I mis-interpreted that at the end of one’s who live.
Not only do i want to see i want to the Rick and Daryl reunion but i'm also wanting to see a Rick and Morgan reunion and a Rick and Negan reunion so Rick can learn just how much Negan has changed and how much he has helped out since he changed oh yeah and when Daryl and Carol and everyone else were in the train tunnels it reminded me of the Metro games and heck there were even security checkpoints just like in the Metro games
Good reaction vids this season guys. Fully agreed, final third of this episode in the tunnel was just weird and it felt so clunky. A solid season but nothing spectacular. The teaser for Season 3 shows them make it to London (without Codron), so my guess is that they are there for an episode or two, then find out that they can go to America via Spain.
Laurent is still going to be a big part when the show ends cause he'll arrive with Rick Grimes in some CRM planes or helicopters to save Daryl and Carol and that's how the show will end
Hated all the build up to Codron's redemption arc and then they just throw it out the window with the tunnel scene. I agree with enjoying the first half, the plane take-off action scene was AWESOME but I'm sick of hallucination scenes in tv/movies lol.
I personally like everything that happened in the tunnel - my only real gripe with the season is Izzy, she could have just gone on the plane in the end. She felt killed off because Carol is back, that’s my only real gripe for the season. I like the visual representation in the bat tunnel and everyone fighting their grief, it’s a bit cheesy at times but for me it ties the France chapter up nicely.
I've never been to Spain but from images I've seen, the architecture is way different, so filming in Spain and calling it England makes no sense... unless it was a monetary choice.
Rewatching this episode through this video, the ending with the Scottish couple doesn't make sense. The left the tunnel just to go back in. They hid the gas masks which means they knew what was going to happen.
If the whole group that entered the tunnel made it to London in season 3 that would be awesome. It would bring back the feeling of The Walking Dead being like a horror movie on the small screen where anyone you care about within the group could die. Instead, they are obsessed with solely concentrating on the lead characters in these spin offs and everyone else gets dropped when necassary. I don't think this approach works in a world where the lead characters have amazing combat skills and plot armour.
Only thing that is kinda iffy to me is if we’ll see laurent again i remember seeing that his parents didn’t want him to go to america or whatever (real life not the show) so idk if we’ll see him again unless they pre record or something idk
To me, this finale just showcased how they really dropped the ball since episode 4. If they wanted to have a purely Carol and Daryl season, they could have just put Isabelle on the plane with Ash and Laurent?? Just made her whole character pointless by killing her, which is really infuriating. I don't know. At this point, they're just repeating plot points and character arcs instead of taking risks and doing something new like they did in the 1st season.
Agree seen someone mention the actor had another job so she wanted to be killed off but why not just put her on the plane too and maybe have her return at a later time if she wanted too
@DukeJimbob Agree 100%. I doubt we'll see Ash and Laurent next season anyway, especially since they're sticking with a 6 episode season. Even if they wanted to kill Isabelle, they could have given her a WAY better death. Hers had to be one of the worst I've seen in TWD, especially for a character that was basically a co-lead of the show...
It's ridiculous how they felt the need to write out literally the entire cast except for Daryl and Carol. Some of the characters endings were good, like Fallou, Anna, Laurent. But then we got the incredibly rushed deaths like Isabelle and Sylvie who were cast aside as if they werent the most important characters in the first season. Then Codron runs off into the darkness, I assume to never be seen again. In my opinion trying to have a TWD with with just two main characters who solo literally everyone else is so damn boring. TOWL is a perfect example of that. The family/group aspect of TWD that was once so important has been forgotton and now all we have are the top main characters who are treated like superheroes and no one else can get a chance to shine.
The first episode is in London, then the rest are set in Spain. Spain is actually standing in for London. Theyre making it look like London with set dressing, and possible CGI enhancements in post production.
Honestly, the second season is worse than the first. And Carol's appearance does nothing to advance the plot. They also forgot about the most important thing that they promised, to tell why they need the dead from the USA and did not explain the scene after the credits of season 2 of The World Beyond. Poorly written villains, main characters, passable characters. I disappointe in this serial i he had high hopes. If the first season was still good, then the second is much worse, and the plot of this season is to save Laurent..
How would they get to England otherwise? Fallou told them that England was the best place for a boat back to the US. The Scots are Brits so it would be easier to get through the checkpoint. The Scots didn’t know the checkpoint had collapsed or about the fluorescent mushrooms spores causing hallucinations. Have you watch the 3rd season trailer?
This finale was not good. The season started good overall but there were some strange writing choices towards the end..too many villian flopping..and those stupid hallucinations in the tunnel...that little girl looked nothing like Sophia, they shouldnt have showed her face...it was cringe...swing and a miss.....I hope season 3 brings the heat
The writing this whole season was rough. 3 villains, felt like the story was all over, they killed characters like Isabelle and just had people leave for no reason just to have Carol and Daryl together alone??? It just feels like what was the point of these first two seasons? Now we just have some random adventure? Don’t like it
I have to admit, I'm not liking the direction this show is going in. They pretty much done away with the original plot and they're basically just repeating the same thing over and over and over and over. It's reminiscent of the American elections😮
How is it repetitive? They’re going to England. Daryl & Carol wanted to see more of the world. They’re doing it. I’m curious, if you don’t like the series why watch it?
overall, this season was mediocre. season 1 was clearly better. norman was full of it when he said the finale was "the best hour of the walking dead". that daryl and laurent singing scene was insanely cringe
Did not like the finale terrible writing this show wasn't that great to begin with. I do not understand who wrote this crap finale it was complete garbage.
Please let them wear the gas masks properly now while inside the tunnel if season 3 shows more of their journey, unlike Fear where it was just so ridiculous I stopped watching full episodes of the show & only watched your reactions instead. I’m in the U.K. so I’m psyched they are going to England even if it’s a brief visit. Hoping the walkers might be different there.
I thought it was amazing as well. The criticism of Fallou’s girlfriend isn’t merited. I’m certain I saw her the background of Fallou’s community. I’d have to go back and check. The reason the group is at the Chunnel is because Fallou told them that England was the best place to find a boat to America. In the first season the boat that was meeting Daryl in Normandy was from England. Fallou arranged for the Scots to escort the group through the checkpoints because they’re British and it would be easier to get through the checkpoint. The Scots weren’t conspiring to attack the group. They didn’t know that the checkpoint had collapsed, hence they wouldn’t know about the growth of fluorescent mushrooms growing in the Chunnel. It’s no different than cordyceps taking control of a brain. The spores are airborne that’s why they’re hallucinating. As far as Spain. I’ve sailed through the Bay of Biscay and it’s some of the roughest waters I’ve experienced, worse than the North Atlantic. From the trailer of the third season, you see Daryl & Carol in London. It makes how they end up in Spain, they find a ship and the ship ends up being shipwrecked on the North Spanish coast. The criticism of the finale is misplaced. Cordon has become too important of a character to be written off that way. As Cordon is running out of the Chunnel he gets more oxygen & his hallucinations will end. He will catch up to Daryl & Carol. I would be disappointed if he didn’t. Here’s a funny Chunnel story. The first time I booked a pass through the Chunnel, I thought I would be driving under the English Channel. I drive through the port of Calais & I end up in a rail yard and then I found out that I wasn’t driving, I was boarding a train. On the way back to France I passed on the Chunnel and took the ferry which was a lot more scenic.
Mad respect to Anna for not screaming while being eaten joining a small handful of characters across all of The Walking Dead not to
right that was almost old vampire movie death style back in the day.
Anna was a great character. She told Jacintha that she could take or leave her life that should’ve been a warning. I’m not surprised that a coward like Jacintha took the cowards way out. I’m disappointed that I didn’t get to see her torn apart by walkers. Great finale!!

The into sequence was a definite tease for what happens but then again filming in Spain, yet the location is my home the UK... that is pretty nuts to be honest. Since Andrew Lincoln is English, he could've popped over in S3 to say hello.
Thinking about main show screen writers whats your guys thoughts on main show screen writer if they did this show?
I honestly think she doesn’t know Rick is back. Like she left before they returned cause all she talks about it Laurent growing up at the commonwealth and nothing about the can cause if I’m correct, Rick and michonne was going to take everyone to the crm where they had that big city now that all the bad people are dead. Maybe I mis-interpreted that at the end of one’s who live.
Rick and Michonne are not taking anyone anywhere
In Scotland we call them pee-the-bed too
Not only do i want to see i want to the Rick and Daryl reunion but i'm also wanting to see a Rick and Morgan reunion and a Rick and Negan reunion so Rick can learn just how much Negan has changed and how much he has helped out since he changed oh yeah and when Daryl and Carol and everyone else were in the train tunnels it reminded me of the Metro games and heck there were even security checkpoints just like in the Metro games
I like this season. Laurent is alive and fine, for me, this is the most important thing.
That sounds like something that would be made for children, also Rick is not returning
I think they are going to introduce Akila's sister in season 3.
Nah I think that story and everything France is probably done with, unless they all meet up in Spain etc.
Hated all the build up to Codron's redemption arc and then they just throw it out the window with the tunnel scene. I agree with enjoying the first half, the plane take-off action scene was AWESOME but I'm sick of hallucination scenes in tv/movies lol.
Yea they really screw him over if that's the last we see of him because he had a great redemption arc this season as you stated.
@NocBro Nation Dandelion is "pissenlit" in French and liternally means "piss to bed".
it’s true but it’s also from a dandelion that Tinkerbell was born
Tinker Bell is the way for Daryl to interpret visions of the Virgin Mary
I thought they said this was the best finale of all times... lies....
@@AlabamaPoe Norman said the best hour of The Walking Dead. That’s laughable
Season 4 is already in the works btw. It's rumored to be set either in Morocco, the Czech Republic or somewhere in the Middle East.
I fuckin hope not
Morocco would make sense given it's proximity to Spain, would be cool to see a new type of environment too
If the whole group that entered the tunnel made it to London in season 3 that would be awesome. It would bring back the feeling of The Walking Dead being like a horror movie on the small screen where anyone you care about within the group could die. Instead, they are obsessed with solely concentrating on the lead characters in these spin offs and everyone else gets dropped when necassary. I don't think this approach works in a world where the lead characters have amazing combat skills and plot armour.
this episode was like a C+ B- in my opinion 😢Norman hyped it up so much that i was disappointed with the ending and Isabellas death
Isabelle is not really dead, she is the Virgin Mary
Agree seen someone mention the actor had another job so she wanted to be killed off but why not just put her on the plane too and maybe have her return at a later time if she wanted too
@DukeJimbob Agree 100%. I doubt we'll see Ash and Laurent next season anyway, especially since they're sticking with a 6 episode season. Even if they wanted to kill Isabelle, they could have given her a WAY better death. Hers had to be one of the worst I've seen in TWD, especially for a character that was basically a co-lead of the show...
The person Daryl saw looked like Lance from common wealth 26:17
It was his grandfather from the D-day landing. You saw him dead on Omaha beach.
I think gas mask were left because there was only 2 mask and 5 pple
I heard they are filming in Spain but making it look like England
The first episode is in London, then the rest are set in Spain. Spain is actually standing in for London. Theyre making it look like London with set dressing, and possible CGI enhancements in post production.
for the" pisselit "it's true
I really don’t like the second half of the episode mostly the two Scottish people betraying the group and the hallucinations
Yeah I agree. It was stupid. And that little girl looked nothing like Sophia. It didn't make any sense
Also, screw the niners!! Bucs gonna destroy em this week!!
hey maybe check out the T trailer for season 3, i watch it on monday
or carol left before they got back
Honestly, the second season is worse than the first.
Everyone hates the tunnel scene. They should have just cut it when they entered the tunnel
Talking about a relationship "not fitting..." Same with Negan and his second wife.
Please react to the season 3 teaser they released!!
please reaction twd- dead city season 2 teaser and daryl dixon season 3 teaser
This finale was not good. The season started good overall but there were some strange writing choices towards the end..too many villian flopping..and those stupid hallucinations in the tunnel...that little girl looked nothing like Sophia, they shouldnt have showed her face...it was cringe...swing and a miss.....I hope season 3 brings the heat
The writing this whole season was rough. 3 villains, felt like the story was all over, they killed characters like Isabelle and just had people leave for no reason just to have Carol and Daryl together alone??? It just feels like what was the point of these first two seasons? Now we just have some random adventure? Don’t like it
They totally wiped out of all of France. 0 reason yo go back....
the tunnel scene dragged out bit too long
If you would answer me that would be cool. Are you guys brothers? I can’t access anything to message you one to one so I am asking you here. D.
They're just friends, the 'Brothers of' is just because of their closeness etc.
Why watch it then?? It doesn’t make any sense.
You guys should react to a show named “From” super good show
Please let them wear the gas masks properly now while inside the tunnel if season 3 shows more of their journey, unlike Fear where it was just so ridiculous I stopped watching full episodes of the show & only watched your reactions instead. I’m in the U.K. so I’m psyched they are going to England even if it’s a brief visit. Hoping the walkers might be different there.
I don’t know if I’m in the minority here or not but I just feel like season one was better than season two
I think I’m in the minority, but I loved it
I thought it was amazing as well.
