Can we talk about how dumb it was for carol and daryl to lock themselves in that war surrounded by walkers?😂 i mean seriously what were the writers thinking?
Carol's "feeling" that's back is her PTSD. A quote from a producer at the time everyone was speculating about who came back, said it was something that had to do with her personal journey this season. I kind of knew then it wasn't a who, although I do think they were playing a bit of a trick on the audience. In S6 and S7 Carol had that kind of nervous breakdown. And then on the radio told Daryl how it being so quiet at the Commonwealth was difficult. It is evident now that the calm and quiet allowed the memories of Sophia's loss to weigh on her, with the guilt, the inadequacy, the regrets. Look at the characters she's been meeting along the way who are dealing with the same trauma, Ash and Didi. Even Genet, although she dealt with her loss in a very negative, unhealthy way. I don't believe Carol is hiding that some person came back. Learning to deal with her PTSD is her journey this season, just as how they focused on Rick's PTSD in TOWL.
They did play a trick on the audience. In storytelling it's called Misdirection a technique that writes use to intentionally mislead it's audience/viewers. It's use to keep viewers watching the show, novels and films use this tool as well.
The title actually translates to “To want is to be able to” or in English we’d say, “ Where there’s a will there’s a way,”. Pouvoir is a verb and and a noun.
Carol possibly may have left to go look for Daryl before Rick returned. Carol left Alexander because she feared having to kill more people to protect the people she loved so them being settled in the Commonwealth could have made her feel the same way. It was definitely not how we wanted that conversation to go for sure.
Loved this episode! Super walkers killing regular walkers reminds me of the fake story Eugene told everyone in the traincar in S5.1: the government plan to create something to "fight fire with fire".
Carol's "FEELING" is her grief, depression and hallucinations of Sophia. Whenever Carol has been in that place there has been only 1 person she opened up about to and that person is DARRYL. Darryl has been the person to bring her back from the edge multiple times. So it makes perfect sense to me that she would tell Darryl on the radio. It surprises me how many people are not understanding that, especially knowing how Darryl and Carol operate
I think Daryl being snappy at Carol when she was trying to start the car was part of him grieving as well. I do believe he was grieving but he's not one to show his emotions, he also knows how this world is.. violent and he's somewhat accustomed to it. Not saying he's not feeling it cause he definitely is and he's so busy with stuff he hasn't had time
I'd like to think that Carol left short before Rick came back. Like a week or two before at max. So it'd be like "Daryl leaves > Carol leaves > Rick returns" I really don't think it's different than that because it wouldn't make much sense knowing they'd already have the CRM on their side by the time Carol left, and that she just didn't use any of their help to go to Europe. It would be straight off stupid. On the "how long has Daryl been in France" question, around 1 month and a half. I read somewhere that TWD's finale took place by the end of June 2023 (timelinewise), Daryl got taken to France by the end of July 2023, Carol left shortly after and Rick returned just after that. (Let's say he returned in the last few days of July/the first few days of August and Daryl S2 picked up in the first few days of September 2023). Hope this was helpful

I think Daryl sees a side of Carol he hasn't before. You could tell that using Sophia to lie did not sit well with him although he is her friend and he seemingly accepts it. I still think it changes things between them. When she asks what he's going to tell Laurent, he looks up at her and says, "the truth."
It could've been Morgan who came back too, or Rick depends on timeline...I think Isabelle death was more of reaction from Losang who lost his cool for an instance and regretting what he did but in the end that's what took him over the edge to lead the new group when approached...

When Daryl was in the pit fighting the walkers hit with the darts, season 1. Cadron was watching. the one did attack the other. So yes, we have seen that happen before.
In my opinion Rick and Michonne got back after carol left. Also like people have said I don't think Daryl hearing about rick being alive would hit as hard as finding out he is alive by seeing him face to face. Daryl having no prior knowledge walking into the commonwealth or Alexandria and seeing rick would be an incredible scene! Also the idea that Carol knows rick is back would mean that reunion happened off screen, which would be very lame.

And yes, losing Isabelle sucks and the reason for it is what Jerrel said about two female leads and the added cost. Great watch, guys, always fun to wacth with you. 👍
Is anyone else glad they are able to now use multiple F-bombs per episode to get the point of some scenes across? I feel like not being able to kinda holds back the feeling put into some scenes, especially on the flagship show.
I think Carol is not telling him about Rick because she had already left when Rick came back. I mean let's think about it, why would Carol not tell him something so important? Daryl spent years looking for Rick, separated himself from the main group and even had a lot of conflicts with Carol during that time. Daryl turned the whole world around to find Rick. So it would be so illogical to not say anything for so long. If she really knows and she hasn't said a single word for 2-3 episodes with all the time they've had together, then the writers are just as bad as Fear.
From the trailer, we know that Carol, Laurent and Ash take off in the plane for the USA. Daryl and Coudron stay behind and fight the enemies, and Daryl ends up in Spain or on his way to Spain by the end of the episode. I really hope that Coudron lives and goes to Spain with Darryl. Their budding friendship would make an interesting story line.
Just a thought on the fandom being in an uproar because Carol's revelation wasn't that "Rick" was back, but a feeling that came back. I have to agree with people that think she left to find Daryl before Rick returned... The most obvious reason for me would be that if Rick came back before she left, she most likely would not have had to trick Ash into flying her to France. I feel like Rick would still have some pull into securing a helicopter after what happened with CRM, so if that's the case, it would have been easier for Carol to return to Commonwealth and talk with Rick after learning what happened to Daryl.
I find it funny how many people are upset. 😅 They gaslighted themselves, claiming they heard her say "Rick" or "..ick". Fans - "Rick has his own show coming, so it must be him. Let me listen again....yep she said Rick!" Me - "You people are imagining things."
True. I admit, a part of me wanted it to be Rick. But after hearing her explanation of a feeling coming back, I could now hear Carol saying "It" instead of "...ick".
I do think, when Carol left then Rick came, if ever rick and carol met , I think Rick will accompany Carol in the search for Daryl , just my opinion ✌🏼
I think Ash could be a part of a group to capture the kid. When Carol showed up looking for Daryl, the group. notified Ash to take the plane up so Carol could see it,and come looking for it. This could be a bigger plot once everyone is back in the States. Who knows, just a thought.
@cindyspangler3982 someone in group, those who were taking people, walkers by ship to start with, maybe he was working for them. Someone learned of the kid while there and came back on the return ship. I really think Ash is going to turn out to be a major player in this. He left alone with him, telling them there wasn't room for all four,perfect..send the kid with him!
@@cindyspangler3982 so everyone else can have an opinion but if I voice my thoughts I'm trolling, that's really mean your part. I'm sorry if your mind isn't creative in thought.
@@cindyspangler3982 lol facts. Fan fiction just kills me I'm glad these people are not professional tv show writers. As an actor I would quit some of the dumbest theories and stupid storylines I've ever heard regarding this show. They just can't accept what is being presented in front of them.
Let stop giving these showrunners the benefit of the doubt saying she’s hiding Rick’s return. The end of TOWL was our serving of fan service for the decade. Now sit tight until 2034 when Rick and Daryl share the screen again.
I think Carol was lying to Daryl about who or what came back. I think her focus is just bringing him back home. Telling him Rick and Michonne are back may make him do something reckless and affect their way to get back home.
The whole "ick" thing really makes me mad along with Isabelle's death. AMC is desperate and will do whatever it takes to get fan attention. Remember bringing Madison and Troy back? I don't have a lot of faith in AMC...
So I'm nearly positive they retconned the time line this season. They keep saying 12 years ago. Which would mean both Daryl & Carol would have had to have left nearly immediately after TWD finale. I haven't gone back to check, but wasn't Judith older than 12 in the final season??? What I'm saying is I think they wrote this season to happen before TOWL in the timeline
One thing that I am hoping for is that maybe they will somehow find one of those giant ships and maybe be able to bring a lot of these French characters to America but doubtful of it
My prediction for this ending of this season is this 3rd new villain will track them down to plane coldron and daryl stay to fight Ash, Carol and Laurent escape back to America daryl and coldron for a bromance into Spain s3 because he knows a dude that can fly them over haha
Your didn’t talk about the most important thing. Ash said they can’t all go. Meaning they (Daryl and Carol) will stay and send the boy with the Ash in the plane ✈️ My thoughts
I like Ash But if hes toast Then Daryll and Carol need to learn how to fly the plane Its gonna take time for Daryll and Carol and Laurent to meet up with the others back home But i really hope that happens is all
Lol I don't know how or why people think Carol knew Rick was back. There's is absolutely no legit proof or real indications that she knew. From the time of Rick's "death", the 6 year time jump, Michonne leaving early in season 10. The extra year Michonne lost due to the CRM gassing, her losing contact with Judith and admitting it Rick that she hadn't spoken to Judith in awhile. Plus on Michonne last episode of regular series, she wasn't even around Carol when she went to the Oceanside and left with Virgil to his home. Michonne never came back she went to look for Rick, the last person she was in communication with was Judith. Even in the finale of TOWL there was nothing showed or stated that Carol had come in contact with Richonne. That would've had to happen offscreen and tied back into the current storyline. You have to understand tv and movies use certain tactics to keep viewers watching, that's why previews exist and are layered in a certain manner to peak your interest. That clip of Carol calling Daryl about something is back was misdirection a technique used in storytelling. For Carol to know and didn't tell Daryl just doesn't make sense, that's bad writing. I get fans want the Daryl Rick reunion, I just think it will be done in a different way maybe in a new spin off.
If they do not reunite Daryl with Rick and Michonne after everything I don't know if I'll even want to watch dead City no more . And they could have made his relationship with Isabel his new love work just like they did when Carol was married to the king
I think Carol will stay so that Daryl can get Laurent out of there...Carol will hook up with oh crap can't think of his name the one thats all banged up...( oh who am i kidding I don't speak on Frenchahayhay lol) they will help them fight ... the way Carol walked around looking at everyone makes me think she will stay and help them and the people at the nest ... I am so glad Daryl was the one who killed that evil pc of crap smashing his head take that and this for Isabelle I yelled out YESSSSSSSS lol I could see Carol not telling Daryl that Rick is back let him be surprised it is his brother ... ASH GET OVER YOURSELF... ughhhhh lol come on home Daryl where you belong
@@AlexandriaVirginia-s9t Uuugh. I'm so glad i'm thinking of leaving this fandom which is becoming like the Star Wars community soooooo fast. @schlock159 just because a comic character was made doesn't mean it fits with the storyline today,if you know anything about good writing that would seem forced because Rick has never talked about having a brother,it's a cop out because the grimes are no longer on the show
@@AlexandriaVirginia-s9t "if you know anything about good writing" You don't have to result to insults. I can totally see Codron and Laurent do a spinoff show if Laurent doesn’t go with Daryl. I can see them bonding on their journey as Codron protects him. It would be like the last of us. Codron is a bad@ss!!!
lol it wouldn't make sense too plotholes if the show went that route. Carol doesn't know Rick is alive she's not lying to him about it just for the sake of lying. Do you get this would be terrible writing too many explanations would be needed, the majority of this information of Carol knowing would have to take place off screen. Honestly it's not worth watching if the show did this, that's insulting the intelligence of your audience for crappy lazy writing. Some fans just don't care about good storytelling for me I do, even though it's fiction it still needs to make sense in a fictional world.
I have one interesting thought for y'all knowing that Daryl's grandfather died in Paris or actually the beach of Normandy wouldn't it be amazing if him and Laurent were somehow related
If this was a daytime soap opera sure that would work well, But that type of storytelling doesn't work for this type of show. It's a horror drama not just drama.
I think it was Rick is back .... in one of the interview Carol says....and I have a secret..... I think the show runner changed it because Daryl hinted of and season four in Spain. The end will be Daryl and Rick get together. Just the old team aren't ready to go back to alexander yet.
I hate to say it, but the finale leaves much to be desired...in other words, yall are not going to like it. I know yall. Your not gonna like it. Unfortunately
Maybe I'm thinking too far ahead, but Carol captained a big boat off Oceanside for a while. Perhaps she and Daryl steal a boat next season and return home to the Commonwealth. I suspect Laurent and Ash will already be there. Also, the final episode of TWD had ALL the characters say, "We Are the Ones Who Live". That would indicate to me, that there will be another season of that show at the Commonwealth. At the end of Fear the Walking Dead, Morgan was on his way back and I think, Maggie will rescue Negan and return home after the next season of "Dead City". I think the CRM is not quite dead and will be out for revenge. I still suspect, the cast from "World Beyond" will tie in somehow, at the end.

Let me listen again....yep she said Rick!"
Me - "You people are imagining things."
Rick is not doing that
I want to see Laurent go to Florida and visit Disney World 😂 With Walker Mickeys and rollercoasters full of walkers going round and round still lol
I think Ash could be a part of a group to capture the kid. When Carol showed up looking for Daryl, the group. notified Ash to take the plane up so Carol could see it,and come looking for it. This could be a bigger plot once everyone is back in the States. Who knows, just a thought.
Ash never left his home in America. How would he know Laurant even existed?
@cindyspangler3982 someone in group, those who were taking people, walkers by ship to start with, maybe he was working for them. Someone learned of the kid while there and came back on the return ship. I really think Ash is going to turn out to be a major player in this. He left alone with him, telling them there wasn't room for all four,perfect..send the kid with him!
@@coalcampcrafter8348 I think you're just trolling with your fan fiction.
😂😂
😂😂😂😂
With Isabelle dying I feel like they have some of ftwd writers on the team 😢
(Cough, cough) Scott Gimple.
I think Carol was lying to Daryl about who or what came back. I think her focus is just bringing him back home. Telling him Rick and Michonne are back may make him do something reckless and affect their way to get back home.
What I don't understand is why the super walkers didn't attack each other when they attacked the nest but I try not to nit pick about these plot holes
One question is where are all the scientist 🤔
15:00 daryl thinking abt punching negan😭😭😭
The whole "ick" thing really makes me mad along with Isabelle's death. AMC is desperate and will do whatever it takes to get fan attention. Remember bringing Madison and Troy back? I don't have a lot of faith in AMC...
LMAO you fell that gimmick 😂😂😂
So I'm nearly positive they retconned the time line this season. They keep saying 12 years ago. Which would mean both Daryl & Carol would have had to have left nearly immediately after TWD finale. I haven't gone back to check, but wasn't Judith older than 12 in the final season??? What I'm saying is I think they wrote this season to happen before TOWL in the timeline
Norman was lying when he said the finale was the best walking dead universe episode. It was not lol
I think they will sever all ties to the france storyline with this last episode and laurent and ash will get away.
26:37 not true since he killed many nuns in the series premiere
One thing that I am hoping for is that maybe they will somehow find one of those giant ships and maybe be able to bring a lot of these French characters to America but doubtful of it
It's already officially known season 3 takes place in Spain no one is going to America after this season ends.
I like Ash
But if hes toast
Then Daryll and Carol need to learn how to fly the plane
Its gonna take time for Daryll and Carol and Laurent to meet up with the others back home
But i really hope that happens is all
Lol I don't know how or why people think Carol knew Rick was back.
Your French is.... 😂😂😂😂😂... Speaking as a French guy 😉
I’m scared for Carol. 😢
The title and the flashbacks, I’m feel her last episode is next. 😢
She's in season 3 💀
I think you’re wrong on the timeline. Carol left before Rick came back.
Ton français est très bien 😊
Hey guys.
I think it's pretty much a given that they are planning to introduce Rick Grimes' brother for sure.
That would be the most ridiculous desperate plot
@@AlexandriaVirginia-s9t
Uuugh. I'm so glad i'm thinking of leaving this fandom which is becoming like the Star Wars community soooooo fast.
You DO KNOW that Robert Kirkman LITERALLY made a comic book featuring this character, RIGHT !?. Which ACTUALLY takes place in spain, like season 3 will !?
Just saying.
@schlock159 just because a comic character was made doesn't mean it fits with the storyline today,if you know anything about good writing that would seem forced because Rick has never talked about having a brother,it's a cop out because the grimes are no longer on the show
@@AlexandriaVirginia-s9t
"if you know anything about good writing"
You don't have to result to insults. I'm buzy writing my own book, i know people who actually work in the industry, my brother's wife is a teacher who teaches poetry and shakespeare. So PLEASE try and do better.
Also, this whole cop out and ridiculousness thing !?. 2 names:
1.The freakin CRM. Talk about forced, anti-climactic and meaningless.
2.Those GARBAGEPEOPLE.
Yeah, GARBAGE is the right word.
But hey, what do i know.
@@schlock159 Kirkman didn't write that comic. So I wouldn't consider it canon for the comic series
Carol shouldn't have told ash the truth
Did yall hear that they are ENDING supply drops?
Vouloir, c'est pouvoir = to want is to be able to = if I want to do something, I do all what I can to do this thing
There is more grieving for Daryl for Isabelle. Don't sweat it.
@ 10:42 The guy that Daryl and Carol met who said he and a few others were looking for the plane looks very much like Aaron's husband Eric.
I think carol lied to darryl for some reason
I had no idea you are British. Why have I seen all 6 episodes and you guys are only on 5. Don't worry I won't spoil it for you guys. Love your content
She lied about the "feeling"
I can totally see Codron and Laurent do a spinoff show if Laurent doesn’t go with Daryl. I can see them bonding on their journey as Codron protects him. It would be like the last of us. Codron is a bad@ss!!!
Carol is lying for some reason
I don’t think carol knows about Rick and I don’t want her to because then we missed the reunion between her and rick
You’re British??
Carol is on a roll with the lying, so I wouldn't be surprised if she lied to Daryl.
lol it wouldn't make sense too plotholes if the show went that route.
Just the old team aren't ready to go back to alexander yet.
season 3 will be in Spain
I hate to say it, but the finale leaves much to be desired...in other words, yall are not going to like it. I know yall. Your not gonna like it. Unfortunately
Man, reactors have really ruined the show for me this season. I swear some of them either don’t pay attention or don’t even like the show…
Maybe I'm thinking too far ahead, but Carol captained a big boat off Oceanside for a while.
Maggie returned home at the end of Dead City season 1.
Did the actor, who plays Issa, not want to go to Spain?
Making this comment in the 27th minute and I think you guys are enjoying the show lol 😂
