I saw a flyer at organic food store for tai chi class 20 years ago. I was in early sobriety and wanting to learn about food nutrients.
*Tai Chi sounded good to help with anxiety. I found red stretch pants at Goodwill and
    braved a roomful strangers.
Today at age 60 Im in a body and mind that suffered a lifetime of trauma , poor nutrition and addiction, i feel Tai-Chi movements can hopefully improve my balance, mindfulness and what seems to be arthritis.
** Ive had a large lower stomach from alcohol, food and poor posture. I had No confidence and always slouched over.
~The weight of My stomach is pulling on my spine, lower back, joints and worsening knee pain.
I am experiencing sciatica, tingling feet, and ligament pain.
I'm losing the muscle mass that helped to carry my weight.
I'm raising a Grandchild age 11 and I don't want to lose my ability to stay active.
@ THIS Gentle and intentional movement may help strengthen and align my body just enough to support future methods of obtaining balance, strength and posture(?)
Thank you for breaking down the 8 steps.
It may take a bit for me to blend the legs then arm movements into a beautiful flowing movement.

I know your plight! I had an awakening awhile back and I did not like what I saw in the mirror. I have always been active and a tick took that away from me. There are foods I can no longer eat and there are a lot things I can NOT do anymore. Thanks to Silver Sneakers, Y2Next and now this Tai Chi I hope I am on the right track. I feel stronger like my old self, so please whatever you do STAY on this track. It was a Silver Sneakers Tai Chi workout that got me started. I have been looking for a longer video that explains things slowly, not rushing through. I appreciate Suman for showing the way. I am sober from alcohol starting my 24th year. Hang in there and take it however you need. One minute, second, hour, day. Do the workouts with your grandchild. Show them what it means to be healthy and fit. I want to break the cycles of bad eating and poor health for the sake of my children and grandchildren. Stand Strong! Jesus Loves You!

@@SumanBarkhas Thanks for the offer. I would, except I’m in Australia, so the time difference would be tricky. Thanks again for your teaching.

    Interesting.
I actually like this one more than the Yang 24. Short, and to the point. Good for real skill building.
