There’s a really talented musician on YT that does a lot of Death covers with no distortion. Chuck had some haunting stuff, clean or distorted. Great video as always Ola!!
Sounds like 60's surf rock.... srs. Part of the solo sounded a bit like some of the old McLaughlin solos when he'd kill all the gain and you (the listener) would be "WTF?? John lean back and crank that stack!!" So great. Thanks for the fun clip Ola.
Amazing! Don’t worry ’cause they can fix it in mastering. 😂 Playing clean reveals the great time and accuracy you have thou! Thanks for your channel, great content and your positivity makes the world a little better place.
When I was in middle school in 1989, I learned rock songs with my acoustic guitar, and the next day on stage I played with the electric guitar from the stage...chaos 😂😅
This is a new series called *With/Out Gain.* May I suggest Pinball Map by In Flames and Monochromatic Stains by Dark Tranquillity. Ola is time for you to play some local songs!
I've been on a Pantera kick lately since going to the show last month in Denver. Are you using D-standard tuned down a quarter step? Setting up the Evertune on my Canibalismo proves to be challenging at times, but I'm about to change strings, and it's currently tuned to C-standard. So I want to make sure I'm getting the tuning right lol. While I love the fact my Evertune stays in tune until I wear the strings out; it still proves to be more frustrating than my 14 year old daughter when changing my tuning 🤘
Far Without Driven
far beneath driven
POV : you use the schools equipment
Hahah so true
You have amps at school? America is a different place
@@RicoLee27 Depends on the school. Music/arts departments typically have the lowest budgets, if they even have that department at all.
i wish my school had guitar equipment
My school had a boss katana lmao
the lead section, without gain, sounded like django reinhardt. which is not necessarily a bad thing.
/django rolls in his grave
NO
Absolutely spot on!
Dude is one of few that would post Dime riffs/solos without gain. Level of respect man.

What’s their name?
@@bucknasty69 Leonardo Lux, he’s awesome.
I see him all the time on my recommended
My grandmother says she loves the country tune you played before all the noise 🤣🤘🏼
🤣🤘
compression and distortion some of gods greatest gifts to us
This is genius! Shows how skilled you really are, and takes some balls! 👊
yeah, it not like tons of ppl didnt make previously metal without overdrive/gain videos!!
The saying "Give me the raw stuff" actually has meaning now! Great cover
The Ventures been doing that for years, love it Ola.

Shit just got real, Homie!
Sounds like 60's surf rock.... srs.

So great. Thanks for the fun clip Ola.
Ain't distortion such a brilliant thing. Loved it Ola.

Sounds like a 50s -60s movie crime scene! 🕵♂🤘

We need more of these videos!!!!!!
I'M SEEING PANTERA TONIGHT IN ATLANTA, FRONT PIT. THIS IS PERFECT START TO MY DAY HAHA
Based on the solo, it took this video for me to realize Dime was a master of Jazz. 😂
practicing this way is a good way to develop accuracy and precision
Nice to know that we play power chords exactly the same way.
It's amazing how softly he really hits the strings yet sounds so brutal with gain. This actually learns me a thing or two.
I've been playing with what I call "featherweight fingers" since I began playing at 15. It conserves string life and thus, money. So that's a pro.
@@einarrgrettirsson8004only con is it's not the best for beginners
Paintera
Time travler: *smells flower*
Pantera:
I see Pantera, I click.
A new level. Of cleanliness. AAAAAND POWERRRRRRRRRRR!!! (but mostly cleanliness) hahaa that was cool.

So good!
Oh snap! 🤘🤘
The continuous palm muted E power chord sounds like a continuous fart ahaha
You ever heard the dude do the Death riffs clean they actually sound pretty good .
🤘💀🤘🎸
Hell Yes Man!!!! Sounded good both ways. Kind of a trip to hear clean.
Nice job....Great playing ... Love the Transparency between the two. 🤘🏼
🤘🤘
🤘😈🤘🔥🔥🔥
NO PAIN, NO GAIN.
That is actually how I play due to the lack of an amp... it sad but I still love to play unpluged
Reminds me of the Sarah Longfield banjo covers
“Mom I need high gain amp”
Mom: “we have high gain amp at home”
High gain amp at home…..
Wonderful bass tone! 😂
It's funny how a DI sounds and sometimes it just doesn't sound right but with gain its perfect.
Cool!
yes YES more
sounds more like blues rock than anything and I've sworn Dime had blues influence from the time I got into him
I've done this with a lot of high gain songs, you should hear what Djenty riffs sound like with just the DI signal 😆
Always fun to flip the songs around, like add gain where there is none or take it away where there is.
still sounds great
Just learned this song this week 🔥
Reminds me of "black metal without distortion is surf music"😂
MORE!!! 🎉😂😂😂
One day I will be rich enough to buy that guitar!
Perfect for my Helecaster! Jk, it has a Bill Lawrence twin blade T pickup
This needs to be a whole ola album call it pantera without gain the album
How not to gain a new level
Lmfao 🤣🤣🤣
this absolutely slaps
No gain bad. Lot of gain good.
This was Dope lol
Technically *pushes up glasses* there is gain, just no clipping and thus no distortion.
Still goes hard fr
More of this please lol
Now a want a jazz version.
it CHUG!
This is sick. Can you please stay on PANTERA like this. CFH especially 🤘🏻❤️👍🏻
I didn't notice on the merch site, do you have picks for sale? Thanks OLA. 🤘🏻❤️👍🏻
Only Ola could do this and pull it off LOL.
Thanks Ola, I think we all needed this today lol.
Still so heavy my biceps grew trying to hold my phone up
hahah now to do a SWOLA without distortion 🤣
Does not chug! Still rocks 🤘
solo is god tier level
Bad Ass!!
Kind of gives me a Primus kind of vibe.
Country style head Banger 😂
Sultans of New Level😂
More like this

This is a new series called *With/Out Gain.* May I suggest Pinball Map by In Flames and Monochromatic Stains by Dark Tranquillity. Ola is time for you to play some local songs!
Ola it's the best
I miss Pantera. I'd pay cash money to see them play live again with the original members.
Umm... 😂
Yes I know they are no longer with us. That's why I'm bummed.@@chris_2714
It takes balls to post DI of lead sections. Well done!
Dude, it sounds like a MIDI file from Doom lol
Sounds like a Nintendo Game 🤘
Damn that was so dope
Bad fucking asss dude! hahaha
P.a solidly done brother nice work
This is how it sounds when you make a footage for music video 😂
Impaled northern forest style. Just need lap drums now
I guess the real gain was the friends we gained along the way..
Wow... I don't think I've ever heard palm muting on clean setting?!?!🥴🤘
Thats me when i sold all my guitars for nefarious reasons and only had an acoustic
Palm muted cleans sound like cartoon farts. There, I said it lol
All pain, no gain.
that was awesome haha!!🤘
