Wow, Ola! Beautiful solo work man! Tastefully played and with a nice amount of restrain. Sweet legato too! As for the guitar, I'm a sucker for shell pink. I have a satin shell pink Tele Deluxe.
For clarification, the Virtuoso is a Jackson American Series model and not a Jackson USA model. The production lines are different as well as the price point. Been playing Jackson's since 1994 and still have my first Jackson, a 1994 MIJ Dinky Reverse with the granite finish. Recently bought a new SL-3 from the American Series in slime green. Great guitar! I would guess SH6 in the bridge and JB or 59 in the neck. Jackson uses those a lot. I’ve got a similar setup in one of my Gibson Les Pauls. Great pickups. They are perfect for giving just the right amount of aggression without coloring the sound too much. So you have a good flat starting point to dial in with your amp and pedals. Awesome pickups that can sound good for any type of music. They can crunch with the best of them and clean up nicely for other types of music. Always liked Jackson’s. I don’t currently have one, but I may get one of these.
I guess Jackson and Charvel have the combination of JB in and 59’s thrown in in their guitars forever. Not a bad thing, but I’m a EMG fan since 1987. Both my R1 and San Dimas-08 came with those.
THE CUT AWAYS AND CONTOURS ARE KICKIN!!!! GREAT PLAYING!!!! SWEET EVH ELEPHANT SQWEEEEEEEL!!! can't wait for the next...VIDS!!!!!!!!! mitch from minnesota
Foam works to stop the reverberation of the trem claw springs but also interferes with the bridge's travel and return to zero whether pulling up or down. It might not seem like it at first glance but run it through a tuner and you'll see. Just something to keep in mind for people who do this to silence the springs in the back of their vibrato bridge equipped guitar.
This guitar rocks but i wish it had the famous sharkfin inlays to go with the looks department.. I also wish Jackson would bring back the Ghost Flame soloist V or even a hot pink ghost flame or red would be the $!tt 😝
I can't get over how much they just straight up used the Charvel DK24 Pro body and stuck at Jackson neck on it. I have the 2018 DK24 and the body and heel contour and everything are exactly identical to this.
Thanks Ola, great demo, That satin pink was gross in the 80s and its still not my fave decades later - but just my 2 bits. I would have liked to have seen the paint be eye searing loud bubble gum pink with a matching reverse headstock to truly nod the 80s shred, but it sounds and play nice at the end of the day. Little too pricey for my budget. Thanks for the vid.
I work for a guitar store and have had the opportunity to play these guitars for a bit before release. They're absolutely BADASS Edit: 13:40 fender has not been stepping it up at all... Jackson has, though. Also, these guitars are a little less than $2k usd
@@algorithm007ify Fender did make some USA guitars with SS frets, but the problem with Fender, and Gibson, is that they're classic old school brands. Jackson regular production is VERY late to the game, but in their Custom shop you can get SS frets, but that's no excuse for the cheaper stuff.
@@MasterfighterxNot if you are in Europe you can't. A few years ago a few people in the Jackson Custom shop messed up a load of orders. No quality control, no nothing. When unhappy owners sent their Custom Shop guitars back ,mainly if not all from Europe, the damage was in the six figure dollar level. Not even Fender can cover loses like that. Some staff were fired, new ones taken on to replace them. I was told it would be eighteen months to two years before Europe would get the Custom Shop facility back. Five years later and still denied access. Looks like the USA has only Custom Select menu to order from, not total Custom Shop access. I wonder if Fender are trying to close the Custom shop by Stealth.
$1950.00 USD'S but very excellent guess there Ola! Also excellent guess as to what it's constructed of - you nailed that as well! Nice play through (just saying) 🤘🤘
Your improv was on point today Mr Ola…real nice. And OH BOY…my Solar S1.6 Baritone in that wicked matte lime burst with the poplar top and Evertune bridge has officially cleared US Customs this morning!! I can’t fuckin wait!! This will be number 13 or 14. I never thought I would even have 5 really good guitars, but then I did. Then I went nuts and bought 4 Music Man JP series and a high end Sterling JP100D, and just like that, I went from 5 guitars to 10 in less than a year. Then I bought a sick black USA Strat and an old 90s Charvel acoustic electric, and my Solar Baritone which put me where I am now…more than 12 but less than 200. Fun fact: The Solar is only the second guitar I bought brand new, the other was my 1991 Charvel 475 Deluxe Exotic. I literally just got an email from UPS 30 seconds hahuùüî😮about my guitar headed here and they sent the bill for the VAT, Duties & “fees” which is gonna cost $65.95. Yay for taxes and fees!!
These are beautiful, that said the $2000 USD price tag is entirely too steep. I feel like you can get a quality build or used from kiesel for literally half the price. I respect Jackson for stepping it up but they need to be more price accessible
They must be smoking some good stuff over at Jackson/ Fender. 2 Grand for a plain bolt-on with alder body, no fancy top or anything, Korean Floyd and not even a case!
Shl pink would be Shell Pink which is always a very light pink. I'd prefer like a Polo Pink but that looks really good and the case opening was nice, it looked super nice in the case. Sweet axe right there!!!🤘😎🤘
I was a big fan of Jackson back in the Mustaine\Friedman era, and have been following their developments ever since. Would it be accurate to say that the Virtuoso is basically a bolt-on version of the Soloist? The body does look just a bit larger than a Dinky.
These look great, but aren't they a little pricey? Markup must be pretty high. I recently got back into shredding guitars and metal guitars, so put my Fender Jaguar away and got a Schecter SLS Elite, which I believe has the FR 1500 and Fishman/Sustaniac pickups....neck through..etc. It was $1400 brand new.
always loved Jackson/Charvel!!!!!!!!!!!! have my black/silver crackle finish 475 Ltd Edition (active pickups and mid boost) since 1988 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and it is one heavy guitar in weight and in sound !!!!!!!!!
Very cool from Jackson. I was searching for one with mostly the same specs in an ivory colored body and shark fin inlays from Charvel but this looks cool too.
Just looked up on my Jackson Stars SL-2JE: neck through, ebony fretboard, Shaller bridge, neck binding, SHARKFIN INLAYS...for 1000$, and I thank God and Fender Guitars! My SL-2JE will be worth 3000$ in a couple of years.

I had those red noiseless springs. I didn't like them they feel different so I switched them out and the guitar opened up a lot. I'm not sure why but there is a ton of tone on the springs. Deadening them takes away a lot of mojo.

That foam hack 🔥🔥🔥
you could really hear the influence from a view from the top of the world in that intro solo
Purrfect Presentation Ola..! Tack!
6:25 that soft sound of pick hiting strings so smooth
10:30 so beautiful these clean tones. What effect are u using?
I love my Jackson JS32 all through neck modified with a Seymour Dimebag Humbucker at the bridge with a Seymour 59 on the neck ❤
I work for a guitar store and have had the opportunity to play these guitars for a bit before release. They're absolutely BADASS
Edit: 13:40 fender has not been stepping it up at all... Jackson has, though. Also, these guitars are a little less than $2k usd
Ironically they're both in the same building 😂
neither has stepped it up... NO SS FRETS...
Dude... Ola that intro solo... It was beautiful my man. Cheers 🍻
You nailed the specs dude!! Well done
I love my Soloist, but I don't do bolt on necks. I'm not a guitar snob. I just have small hands.
$1950.00 USD'S but very excellent guess there Ola! Also excellent guess as to what it's constructed of - you nailed that as well! Nice play through (just saying) 🤘🤘
Ola. that intro playing is awesome!
I recently purchased the Virtuoso, and HolyShit, I love it ! Just became my number 1.
These are beautiful, that said the $2000 USD price tag is entirely too steep. I feel like you can get a quality build or used from kiesel for literally half the price. I respect Jackson for stepping it up but they need to be more price accessible
I love that Ola is so goofy and fun yet he's a serious player!
They must be smoking some good stuff over at Jackson/ Fender.
2 Grand for a plain bolt-on with alder body, no fancy top or anything, Korean Floyd and not even a case!
When you started riffing @6:35 I instantly thought Megadeth countdown to extinction tone. Which was on Jacksons if I'm not mistaken!
Shl pink would be Shell Pink which is always a very light pink. I'd prefer like a Polo Pink but that looks really good and the case opening was nice, it looked super nice in the case. Sweet axe right there!!!🤘😎🤘
Ola is the only UA-camr that actually returns the guitar afterwards. The rest keep them or sell them.
Man, I can't believe how good that sounds.
Man.. that pink. So awesome.
Crazy good sound thanks for the foam tip for the springs !!!!
Wicked playing and beautiful guitar. The ONLY thing I wish is that it had sharkfin inlays
Original Floyd Rose, I’m not paying $2k for a guitar with a 1500.
@@richardaaron4454 oh yeah for sure. Or even a GE1996T.
I was a big fan of Jackson back in the Mustaine\Friedman era, and have been following their developments ever since. Would it be accurate to say that the Virtuoso is basically a bolt-on version of the Soloist? The body does look just a bit larger than a Dinky.
That thing sounds damn good. Not a fan of the pink either but it's close enough to white that I would be fine with it.
Aaah, that Dime-lick @ 0:53!
The pink is really cool looking
HOLY SHIT. gotta put that intro into a full song. fuckin clean
Very cool from Jackson. I was searching for one with mostly the same specs in an ivory colored body and shark fin inlays from Charvel but this looks cool too.
Bring back shark fins.
OLA that solo is beautiful
Dude, you just shredded like a MUTHA in the intro!!! holy shiiiiiit
Kickass...a Jackson fits you...I wish I had one.
I've been watching you for so long that I can hear in your playing when you like a guitar. Woohooo ❤️
Nobody messes with Jackson Guitars better than OLA testing sh#t!I'm just glad he showed Jackson Guitars to put some foam in the back of these (Expensive Guitars).👏🏻👏🏻🤘🏻🔥
That intro was beautiful! Is that track available ?
Hope to hear about new Soen drops next SWOLA!
Jamming the hell out of Hollowed rn and it's really great.
That shell pink looks clean as hell 🥵
Really awesome playing in the intro man
Satin body finish and a foam case? Shove it, Fender.
Nothing like a good Jackson 👌
Essa guitarra é linda e com timbre animal 🔥🔥🎸🎸
I'm a big fan of Jackson guitars !!!
I had those red noiseless springs. I didn't like them they feel different so I switched them out and the guitar opened up a lot. I'm not sure why but there is a ton of tone on the springs. Deadening them takes away a lot of mojo.
