I've had a heck of a time with this issue on my girlfriend's 2014 Rogue SV. Air stopped blowing completely right during this heat wave. Local mechanic saw ground power on the blower so assumed it was good and tried replacing the resistor which didn't fix the issue. Suggested taking it to the dealer as it might be an electrical issue between the control head and relay. Dealer charged $166 to diagnose and wanted another $565 to replace the blower motor. Got the part for $90, fixed it myself with help from your video and we have AC. Really appreciate this video! Also for anyone else with this issue I did have a bit of trouble getting the new motor to turn in so the screw hole would line up. I put just a bit of vasoline on the little plastic tabs on the motor casing and it turned right in.
Where did you found the resistor??? I whant to changes it but i dont found any information about the place of blower Fan resistor. Can you help me please?

Thank you very much needed for your help in this step by step tutorial on changing the blow motor on my 2014 Nissan Rogue. It took us 2 hours because of complications trying to get the blow motor flushed in so that I can turn the motor counter clock wise in order to place the screw in. We Placed all the parts together and started the engine and it worked well thanks again.
My mechanic wanted $480 to do this and said after the 4th, I got the part delivered to my home same day for all in 123 today and took old out and new in 30 minutes worked EXACTLY as this video describes. I can't thank you enough for this incredibly helpful video. The saved money is much needed. I did it with a Philips screw driver a small plastic knife and a pair of pliers. If you can follow directions you can do this.
Excellent video. Just used it to replace my blower motor. Only thing that was not 100% compatible with my experience in my 2015 Rogue was: My passenger side dash vent did not come off as 2 pieces (the louver part, and the bezel part). Mine was pretty much locked together as one unit. The difference was during reinstall. The dash vent needed to go in almost last because the upper glove box frame, and the carbon fiber trim piece both need to go in BEFORE the dash vent and more specifically the trim ring , as they get retained by that trim ring.
Thank you! This was a perfect step by step video for me. I'm not good with cars so I'm reliant on videos to work on mine. This was the easiest, smoothest and quickest fix I've ever had to do. Thank you so much.
Nice job on the video. Great insight. My 2018 had 'the fan not blowing' syndrome and I suspected either the blower motor or the blower motor resistor. Thanks to your video, I knew where the blower motor was located. I removed the glove box, reached in tapped the blower (as suggested in one of your replies) to see if it was motor brush related and the motor did not begin to spin. II still had a hunch that the culprit was the blower motor resistor and decided to eplace the blower motor resistor first and gave it a test. That's what it was but at least, thanks to your video, I know where to access the blower in case I need to in the future.
Did you have to remove the pedal assembly to change the resistor? I'm having a hard time finding a good video for that process but so far it seems more complicated than the blower motor itself.
@@xDeathrider yes. You do have to remove the pedal assembly. And, yes it's a bit of a hassle. Removing it wasn't too bad but one of the nuts was hard to access. Re-installing the pedal assembly was a royal pain in the gluteous maximus because the carpet needs to be compressed and the stud mounting plate 'sinks' into the firewall so it seems like the studs are too short, but they aren't. Compressing the carpet and not having the studs push into the firewall to start the nuts on the studs was the hard part about re-install of the pedal.
@@northtrader thanks for the reply. I may just try to replace the motor and cross my fingers that the resistor is fine, I'm getting no airflow whatsoever on any speed. Would love to save money but that sounds like a headache I'm not sure I want to deal with.
@@xDeathrider how did it work out for you? I have same symptoms no airflow at any settings but then intermittently it does work. Just works when it wants to...
I really appreciate this video. I don't have the money to get this repaired at a shop but I had enough to purchase the motor. Every step was easy to follow (thank you for your sacrifice of doing this whole repair while holding a camera lol) I got in and out of the repair job in 1-2 hours. All I needed was a Phillips screwdriver and something to pry the dash open( I ended up using a chisel) But this video was a great help since it's been getting humid and in the 100s here in Texas. You're the best!!
Awesome video with clear and concise step by step instructions! Walked me right thru the job without any issues. Thanks....the wife is elated to have her heat and defrost back. 😁

been looking for this video for MONTHS. last video i tried using to fix my ac left out the power button removal and left me stumped at that part cause my radio wouldnt come out. THANK YOU! im buying the replacement blower motor friday!
@@mrOnlinePolice So far so good! I have ice cold air driving around in Florida this week! I did buy my replacement blower motor from Advance Auto (my son works there so I got the employee discount - added bonus). Saved a lot of money versus going to a shop thank you again!
Thanks for the vid, I just fix mine. Amazon sell that part for 160$ with tax and shipping but but it will take 2 weeks. I couldnt wait due to appointment coming up, so I went to the car part for double the price which is fine with me. On the same day, the is fixed. Dealer ship was asking 900 plus and saying it’s cause by something else. If I can wait to not use the car, I would have save 150$.
Great video! Thank you! I had a problem putting the lock screw on. They wouldn't align for me. So i counterclockwised the lock in and screwed in the screw inbetween. Hopefully it holds. 🤞🤞🤞
I don't know. Because in my case, the strip piece that is above glove box tucks behind the radio as well as, I believe, the front panel cover. And to remove the radio, had to remove the start/stop button. I might be wrong. If you are going to do this, please let us know if it worked. We are all here to learn.
@@mrOnlinePolice I just replaced the blower motor in my 2016 Nissan Rogue (I believe 2016-2020 have the same instructions for this). I did not need to remove my radio. I have zero knowledge of vehicles, but this video was excellent and I was able to change mine by myself. It is working - as of today. It took me about 2 to 2-1/2 hours, in the sweltering Phoenix heat, late July. Sigh. This saved me probably about $1k. Thank you so much for the video!!!!
@@mrOnlinePolice as far as i can tell just regular utube i never subscribed to anything else , maybe its just the model you have that you can do that with ?
I cannot connect the last part. I have the same motor you bought number 75041 Nissan rogue 2014 and the white power cords won’t connect. I’ve lined them up and tried to push them closed for an hour. What are your thoughts?
You might have a car that was assembled in a different country. I know when I bought my fan, they asked me for VIN. There was one fan for Mexico assembly line and one for US assembly
I replaced the blower motor and the resistor but still doesnt work..I checked to old blower motor of its working and its not working..what else could i do?
How to tell if you have bad blower motor without testing it for voltage? Because it takes forever just to get to it....any way to just test it any other way?
Set it to full speed, and then I would find it by feeling it in the dark. Tap it lightly a few times with a 2x4 or something that will not damage it. The reason they fail is because they have brushes that wear out and make bad contact inside the motor. This trick works with all brushed motors like starters, fuel pumps etc
@@mrOnlinePolice thank you so much...I wonder if I can just take off the glove box to do this...I dont want to have to take it all the way apart to get to it just to find out that it is not the blower motor the problem
@@macknumber9 taking off just the glove box is not a big project. You could take it off and and try tapping it. I did try smacking my dash when it was broken, and it didn't help. It has to be a direct contact
Good question. I don't know if it's possible, but at the very least I would assume that you need to remove the glove box to at least see and as well reach to the wire connector, screw that holds the motor etc.
2015 Rogue (not a Rogue Select) is definitely clockwise. I did mine yesterday. I couldn't tell which way it went at first as it didn't want to turn CW or CCW. There is a pawl that locks it in place, and you may need some decent force to get the motor to turn. But it was definitely clockwise on my 2015.
Great video. Do you know the location of the AC heater motor Resistor for the 2014 Nissan Pathfinder Platinum. I can't find any information regarding this . Any information is helpful. Thank you .
Hey, like I said great video, however I have reached a wall. I was able to get the motor out, but had a lot of trouble unclipping the plug to the motor. Did you squeeze both sides of it to make it come loose, or was it some other method?
I have a Rogue whose blower motor only works intermittently (with all speed settings) and I just replaced the blower motor to no avail. I have the blower resistor that I guess I will try next though I must say this is a weird problem and I'm not looking forward to ripping out the gas pedal assembly just to replace one little resistor only to have that not be the issue either. There must be a fuse or relay for the blower motor on these right? As of yet, I haven't found it.
As soon as I gave me motor a little touch, just enough for brushes to contact the rotor, it started working. So a good method to check would be to tap it with whatever, and see if it makes it run. Then you'd know if it is the motor at fault
@JD Did you find out what your problem was? I have same problem and I dont think it would be fuse but I do believe relay is possible...because blown fuse it just wouldn't work at all...it wouldn't work intermittently....
You’re instructions were amazing. I took mine out and had it tested, but now I need to probably change the resistor, but I can’t figure out where that’s at. Any recommendations on a video or where to look? Mine is a 2014 Rogue, but the blower is on the passenger side like yours.
you are a gift from heaven to me! i have an issue i have nissan rogue 2017 in the winter the driver side blows a cold air and the passenger side blows hot air normaly my friends told me its a common issue in rogue and the reason is the blend door actuator i starts to repair it ,when i reach the blend actuator motor i saw the motor is working properly!!! but the gate (that gear with the motor) is in very bad condition and the motor cant turn it in order to fix it i have to remove the all the dashboard to replace the gate,(i hope you get my point) So when i saw your video you removed the dashboard from the passenger side is there any video explaining the removal of the dashboard from the driver side?? or vid explaing the solution of replacing the gate that gearing with the blend door actuator?? you will really help alot of peaple not just me because i will share your vid to my friends 😅
That is a business idea. I am always willing to make more videos and grow my channel, but unfortunately at this time i have other things going that are higher priority. I am going to research it though. Sorry that I can't be of any help here. I wish you success in finding that guide that you need
I couldn't say for certain, but we have a 2015 Rogue Select and the controls for the heat and air are dials rather than buttons. The blower motor, as well as the blower motor resistor, had to be accessed on the driver side and the gas pedal had to be removed to do it. There is something that blocks access to the blower motor if you try to access it from the passenger side - that was our experience.
Thank you, I did it in about an hour and a half because I was nervous I would break the plastic. Saved me a bunch of money, thanks again.

Thank you. Very glad to help you. Feel like robinhood
Excellent video! You made this job incredibly easy.

Watched your video, I was able to do this in 30 minutes.. Thank You , and Good Health to you, Sir!
glad I could help. Thank you for your comment and enjoy your air
This video saved me a pile of cash. Great content.
Great video exactly what I needed to replace the failing blower motor in my 2016 Rogue. Thank you very much!
Awesome. Hope it works for you.
@@mrOnlinePolice So far so good! I have ice cold air driving around in Florida this week! I did buy my replacement blower motor from Advance Auto (my son works there so I got the employee discount - added bonus). Saved a lot of money versus going to a shop thank you again!
@RangerRik1 please share the part number if you have one, and also, please tell us the first digit of your VIN so others can compare. Thank you
@@mrOnlinePolicetwo weeks later and still working great! First digit of Vin is the letter k and the part is carquest part # 75041.
Awesome. I'm glad I could save you some money.
This was a fantastic video and helped me do the repair DIY for only $90. Thank you very much!
Thank you for your feedback. Glad I was able to help you
Great video! Just helped my sister save a few hundred bucks!
hope your new motor is still going
Just replaced mine with the help of your video many thanks!
Please share the part number for the rest of the people
Thanks for the informational video. Helped me fix my sister's blower!
I just ordered my parts thanks for the great video sir! God bless
God bless you too in your repairs. Hope it works out for you well
Thank you for detailed video without the long intro.
Thank you for mentioning the intro. I will try and keep my videos that way
Great video! Thank you! I had a problem putting the lock screw on. They wouldn't align for me. So i counterclockwised the lock in and screwed in the screw inbetween. Hopefully it holds. 🤞🤞🤞
Hm. Hope it holds. Thank you for your comment. Where did you buy your fan at?
Wow. Excellent works. Glad I didn't continue with removing the gas/break. 2014 is behind the glove box method!! Thanks!!!
Glad to help. Good luck with your repair
Very informative video. I was able to fix my fan motor my self. Thank you very much
Thank you for sharing this detailed video! I am doing that sometime today and the step by step process really helps alot!
hope your new motor is still going
Just did this n worked %100 thanks so much!
Thanks for great video. My nissan Rogue 2014 has thesame problem. I will do it my self. 😊
I wish you well. And hope it works for you
2014 Rogue select heater blower is it different than normal Roque
I think it is.
You saved me a bunch of money thanks! 🙌
It seems like removing the radio head and start trimming was a overkill. Is it possible to reach it without removing though parts?
Thanks man…just did mine. Pretty quick and fairly easy
Thank you for your comment. Enjoy the cool air
Hi, do you know the location of Fan Blower Motor Resistor on this car? I can not found any information about the fan blower resistor!
Thanks a lot, great video! Worked for my 2015 rogue SV, exactly the same.
Thank you for your feedback.
I’m going to give this a go... wish me luck!!
Good luck to you
Does this also help for heat mine doesn’t blow at all only while driving.? Please lmk
Most like. I would check fuses first. Also, I had a check engine light code that led me to the blower fan.
I wouldn't lost all the screw...it is a great video!
other videos i seen on a rogue blower motor they go from the steering side ? your way seems easier ? thank you
Were you watching rogue select or regular rogue videos?
@@mrOnlinePolice as far as i can tell just regular utube i never subscribed to anything else , maybe its just the model you have that you can do that with ?
@@MrGarcon98 he is referring to the rogue model not UA-cam model
@@macknumber9 i did not know there was a rogue select ? brand of car ,,,is that what your saying ,,,,? thanks
Hi! So if the air don’t work and I hit the dash and it starts working then it’s probably the blower motor and not the resistor??
Not necessarily. It could be your resistor or a fuse.
Does the radio need to come off? Doesn’t really look like it does right?
I think i did it because some of my trim tucks under. It looked like it needed to come of when I did it. But I am a human and I do make mitsakes.
I replaced the blower motor and the resistor but still doesnt work..I checked to old blower motor of its working and its not working..what else could i do?
I would check the fuses, and maybe if it uses the relay
Or if I can even slam my hand down on the dashboard if it would shake it enough to test it
@@macknumber9 taking off just the glove box is not a big project. You could take it off and and try tapping it. I did try smacking my dash when it was broken, and it didn't help. It has to be a direct contact
@@mrOnlinePolice thank you
Is it absolutely necessary to destroy the dash to get to the motor or can you pull it through the foot well cover?
Good question. I don't know if it's possible, but at the very least I would assume that you need to remove the glove box to at least see and as well reach to the wire connector, screw that holds the motor etc.
Why take out radio if we are replacing the bottom?
It was a while back. I dont remember. But i think it has to with the trim that was tucked under
Would this be the same for a 2015 model
As long as it is not rogue select. The only difference you may see is locking/unlocking direction. People reported it is backwards on their cars
@@mrOnlinePolice thank you for this information 🙏
2015 Rogue (not a Rogue Select) is definitely clockwise. I did mine yesterday. I couldn't tell which way it went at first as it didn't want to turn CW or CCW. There is a pawl that locks it in place, and you may need some decent force to get the motor to turn. But it was definitely clockwise on my 2015.
Any idea how much this repair would cost if you took it to the dealer or shop?
Why do you remove the stereo head? Thanks for the great video
I think it is because I had to remove thim plastics that tuck under the stereo head
@@mrOnlinePolice yes I believe your correct
Great video.
Do you know the location of the AC heater motor Resistor for the 2014 Nissan Pathfinder Platinum. I can't find any information regarding this . Any information is helpful. Thank you .
Thank you. Unfortunately I don't know the answer to your question.
Thank you very much. Great instructions and well explained.
Happy that it helped . Thank you for watching my video
Has anyone done this on a select?
I was waiting for the engine to come out and the wheels to come off.
It's not that bad, is it?
Hey, like I said great video, however I have reached a wall. I was able to get the motor out, but had a lot of trouble unclipping the plug to the motor. Did you squeeze both sides of it to make it come loose, or was it some other method?
The latch is on one side only.
Does your blower motor make a loud noise when it is working? Mine is intermittent, but when it works it is loud
I have the same problem. Did you found the fan blower Resistor location?
@@mrOnlinePolice I just did this and hit the dash by the glove compartment and it started working. Blower motor would probably be at fault then huh?
You’re instructions were amazing. I took mine out and had it tested, but now I need to probably change the resistor, but I can’t figure out where that’s at. Any recommendations on a video or where to look? Mine is a 2014 Rogue, but the blower is on the passenger side like yours.
I think resistor is on the other side by the gas pedal. I don't have any videos in mind. Thank you for kind words
Excellent video. Can you recommend me a good scanner ?
you are a gift from heaven to me!
i have an issue
i have nissan rogue 2017
in the winter the driver side blows a cold air and the passenger side blows hot air normaly
my friends told me its a common issue in rogue and the reason is the blend door actuator
i starts to repair it ,when i reach the blend actuator motor i saw the motor is working properly!!!
but the gate (that gear with the motor) is in very bad condition and the motor cant turn it
in order to fix it i have to remove the all the dashboard to replace the gate,(i hope you get my point)
So when i saw your video you removed the dashboard from the passenger side
is there any video explaining the removal of the dashboard from the driver side??
or vid explaing the solution of replacing the gate that gearing with the blend door actuator??
you will really help alot of peaple not just me because i will share your vid to my friends 😅
That is a business idea. I am always willing to make more videos and grow my channel, but unfortunately at this time i have other things going that are higher priority. I am going to research it though. Sorry that I can't be of any help here. I wish you success in finding that guide that you need
@@mrOnlinePolice alot of thanks to you my friend

Excellent video 🎉❤
Thank you. Hope your replacement will go/did go well
Hey man I like this. Do you know if this will work on the 2014 Nissan rogue 'select' which has the body style of the 2013 rogue?
This I would not be able to tell as I've never worked on one. I am sorry
@@mrOnlinePolice no problem thanks
I couldn't say for certain, but we have a 2015 Rogue Select and the controls for the heat and air are dials rather than buttons. The blower motor, as well as the blower motor resistor, had to be accessed on the driver side and the gas pedal had to be removed to do it. There is something that blocks access to the blower motor if you try to access it from the passenger side - that was our experience.
Absolute GREAT video - followed him step by step and saved a ton of money doing it myself - shop wanted $450 did it for $125
Very informative video thank you!!
