Those aren't vises, those are works of art!

I agree. Almost as soon as the video started, I thought "Not only NC, but totally "clean-room". Along with that, I was surprised to see him handling the workpiece with his bare hands. Not gloves???

Glad to see that there are still some companies that want to do quality and not cut costs and go offshore. I am ill and in search of quality products such as this. Hats off and I salute you for your efforts. Very exquisite and quality product.

Your videos are very effective, the entire time all I can think is "I want one!" (two), and, "I want to work for you guys!"

To avoid making a mess, we turn off the coolant when filming. Normally, we use coolant when milling every material except steels.
Manufacturing in the USA is still a very viable option in many industries. The added quality control and the drastic reduction in lead time makes it appealing to many customers. It only takes one bad production run or one delay in shipment for an overseas manufacturing operation to completely backfire and erase any cost savings.

I worked as a "small" machinest while in college and appreciate finely detailed work. The quality detail of your work is amazing and qualifies to be called craftsmanship. Congratulations for returning meaning to the phrase "made in America" (all of my Father"s tools from 70 years ago had the same phrase written on them in big letters).

A valuable example of current quality based manufacturing. You and you employees deserve much respect for daily proving that excellence and profitability can coexist.

Amazing work on those vises. I agree if you made some nice small vises for home shop guys I'd be interested. Especially a dual station one.

    • @Ke6wli
      @Ke6wli 6 років тому

Yeah I would buy a small one for use at home if they made one too. Only problem is that they are so nicely made that I wouldn't be able to live with myself if I scratched it by actually using it. I guess I would just have to buy two -- one to use and the other to look at on my entertainment center. :)

That video was almost erotic. The quality that you put into your products is reflected in the production values of your video.

Looking at the website it's easy to see how versatile these vises are. I only wish I hadn't already invested in other single station vises and jaw systems. all those vises are now getting rusted to hell since they're not sealed internally and are more difficult to clean. oh well, have to reinvest in several of these eventually!

I Hope one day I can buy some orange vices for my shop. They are not that popular in Denmark. I don't know why. They look amazing and alot of nice features.

Have you thought about making vices for us home machinists?
maybe in a mini 3-4in size?
I would be interested in one.

Hi, I have a quick question about the shank setup of these larger face mills such as yours, which appears to be a multi-piece shank style just like what I have. Ok, so I have a standard BP mill model like seen here, and my friend recently gave me a 7-cutter 3" diameter face mill. Your video was the first of anything I saw on google that looked like how my tool would actually end up looking. Here's my question then, if you would be so kind. I have the face mill body which has a stepped hole in the center, and on the top plane I have the roughly 10mm slot spanning across the center of the mounting hole (everything looks like yours), but what do I actually want to use as far as an R8 spindle to hold and drive the face mill? Is there a certain name for a shank made to drive that specific style? Thanks a lot for any help you can provide. ;)

Very well thought out product and going top shelf rids yourself of 90% of the competition. The modular design with repeatable setups would be a huge time saver for low production runs. In my opinion North America needs to take a page out of Germany's book and become fanatical about design, planning, quality and efficiency in manufacturing instead of the "git er done" attitude that has been the norm for too long.

Do you guys dry machine everything? I am like you I want to start a Machine shop and posibly still some of these products made using American workers but profits going to other country citizens and there never be any rumors spread that the product is going to mexico or china.

Great vise.. the craftsmanship is next level.. just not sure if "100% made in the USA" sells anything to me anymore.. most of the time it just means be patriotic and pay double the price... but that put aside this vise is probably worth whatever they are charging for it
