If you need an excuse for extra Halloween parties, come to Sweden... It is still highly debated if it is on the US date or the weekend before as we happen to have a holiday that is close enough in name to be the same... Ofc, this has become highly exploited by Halloween celebrating kids (double the candy) as well as party goers (double the fun).
At our gatherings, I’m the DB (designated bartender). I LOVE making drinks for people. But in recent years, I have come to appreciate making punches - they are easy and delicious, and I don’t have to spend the whole night behind the bar.
If you wanted 1 serving it would be: 1 oz Appleton Estate /Jamacian Rum 3/4 Lairds Apple Brandy 1/2 Pear Liquerur 1/4 All Spice Dram 1/2 Demerara syrup 3/4 Lemon Juice 2 oz Black tea
Just pulled out your recipe for a Friendsgiving party and did a half batch. Didn’t expect much except for me sipping on a couple glasses myself. Well I went through it quickly and had to whip up another half batch. Had to tweak due to ingredients on hand pear-apricot , apple brandy-apple jack. By far was the most popular thing of the night food/drink!!!
If you want it hot, consider using a slow cooker or a crock pot to make it and serve it. Cook it on high, bring it to a boil, and then set the cooker to warm, and throw in a ladle, and boom, self serve warm punch or mulled apple cider.
We hosted a soup party, and the soup that I brought was called "Harvest Moon Punch". It was a huge hit. We were short on lemons, so only ended up with 12 ounces instead of 16, but I'd probably repeat that in the future since it was perfectly tart. I followed Anders' advice and added four bowl-shaped ice discs, each infused with one thin apple slice (taken from the center of the apple so it was the shape of an apple). Lasted all evening, and it seemed to taste even better as the night went on. Great recipe!
Drink suggestion! Black Bean Margarita 3 OZ reposado Tequila 3/4 OZ black bean can juice 1 OZ Cointreau orange liqueur Half OZ agave syrup Half a tablespoon chopped cilantro Pinch cumin Pinch chili powder Pinch cayenne pepper 4 muddled lime wedges or juice of half a lime Shake in cocktail shaker with ice Pour over ice, sprinkle with salt (black salt if you have it) and enjoy!
I made the warm version of this for our Halloween party to keep us parents warm while we were trick or treating with the kids. Most everyone liked it, but also said, wow this is strong! I had even added several more ounces of water since I wasn’t going to have ice for further dilution. I would say something to keep in mind is that what is session-able for us home bartenders might still be too strong for regular folks. I did the math on this punch, and the ABV sits at 15-17%. So about as session-able as wine. In the future, I think I’ll try to shoot for something around the 5-10% abv to be session-able for the masses. Looking forward to egg nog season!
Okay Anders. We made this and got TRASHED just from sampling. It’s only “sessionable” if you’re at a frat party or hate your friends. Stretched it a bit more with apple cider and adjusted ratios a bit for the new flavor profile. Good flavor combinations to start with. Thanks for the inspiration.
I mixed up a batch of this delightful autumnal punch for a friend's birthday party and was thoroughly pleased with the outcome. It beautifully balances citrus, fruit, and rum funk. We absolutely love it! Cheers.
I need a batch drink to bring to an event tomorrow and BAM this video comes out! Thank you! Thought requires a lot of ingredients I do not have. Will have to price it out.
Anders you just gave me my favorite fall cocktail. I needed a punch for this Saturday for a Halloween party my wife is throwing and then you dropped this the other day, and I went and got the ingredients today. I had to work with what I had access to in my area and then divided the recipe by 12 and made a single serve to try it before I make a batch this weekend. It was good, and sessionable, and won't mess anyone up too fast, but then I tweaked it just a bit and please if you get the chance, try it for yourself. 1 oz Appleton estate signature 3/4 oz applejack .5 oz pear liqueur .25 (homemade) allspice dram 3/4 oz (your recipe) cinnamon syrup 3/4 oz lemon juice 1 oz black tea Shaken and served up with grated nutmeg. Gonna go ahead and call it the Harvest Moon, obviously. Thanks again for everything you do.
I am totally making this for Thanksgiving! We have a full house and need an easy (to fix) welcome beverage, and this is it. (plus, I needed a reason to buy allspice dram) Thanks (from both me and my family)
Made this for the holiday office party and it was a massive hit. I even bought a heat safe borosilicate glass pitcher and warmed it up and it was amazing, and I don't even like tea.
Seriously please make an Apple pie-der pita hot drink made with cider, apple jack, brandy and tuaca with whipped cream and freshly grated nutmeg. This is a hit with everyone we make it for and came from the bartender at Gastrognome in Idyllwild California
I made this a couple months ago and it was FANdamnTASTIC. My batch today though, was too lemon forward. Gonna have to tweak this, but it's still so good :)
Yep! Was great. I scaled this up a little bit (x1.75) but otherwise made it as-is. Used a store-bought tea because I was making it for that same night and didn't have time to wait for anything to cool down. It's a really good punch and I'd make it again.@@brookspn
This was absolutely delicious!the best punch I have every done for a party, something not overly sweet and well balanced and very different than a lot of other Halloween punches. everyone at my Halloween party enjoyed it and got everyone buzzing! I used a mix of chai black tea and some other black tea for it and had to use a different peat liqueur but it turned out great! I have a massive punch bowl and had like 25 adults so I doubled 3:31 the recipe and it was perfect!
What a fantastic concoction!!!!….it’s beautiful and festive, and perfect for Autumn!👏👏👏👌👌👌 and I’m sure it’s taste incredible!…a home run Anders!😁😁👍👍 Enjoy your weekend, and CHEERS!🍹🍹
Friends are having a Halloween party tomorrow, and they know I'm into this, so they asked me about a good punch. Long story, short, friend came over tonight, since I had the stuff to try it, and I made 2 drinks (1/2 oz to each Part) and we tried it. Awesome! They're making it tomorrow. Well done! Fall in a glass.
This is fantastic! Will need to try it again with the Appleton 12, only had signature on hand. Also subbed the Rothman pear for St George spiced pear which fits nicely with the allspice dram. In traditional punch fashion, I am curious about trying it with a demerera oleo saccharum, although you can't beat the minimal prep time for this recipe. Also, a half batch is still 6 servings each for 2 people 😂
Any other recommendations for sessionable drinks that can be prepared ahead of time for a weekend's worth of drinking? Preferably with ingredients that aren't too difficult to get like all-spice liquers? :) Thanks for your sips, tips, and recipes!
Tasted amazing and got several compliments (as well as people going right for the beer). The tea had me pretty wired though. I might look for something less caffeinated next time.
Hey there, in San Antonio, it's a nice 96 degrees! The punch is perfect for our hot fall season. 😂 Who did y'all share the punch with? Love your show and love Oz!
Thanks, this looks amazing. I am so ready for Fall and having some different drinks to try. I love Summer drinks but it's time to switch up. So thanks to you and the awesome Oz for getting me ready to change these seasons in style.
Agreed Pete!! I love a good punch and this would be fabulous for a Halloween gathering of friends! We have friends who still have little ones and every year I have a gathering of friends who come by after their kids go trick or treating and we have a delicious dessert that I make and a lovely, delicious libation! The kids of course get a non-alcoholic treat! I could make a non-alcoholic punch too! Lol! Halloween is for kids I guess but hey, adults can have fun too! My fave thing is giving out candy at the door! Cheers!
This looks great!10/10 could make. And I’m glad I caught the Calvados pronunciation. I only recently discovered it (but haven’t tried yet) and thot it was Cal-Vad-os instead of Calva-dose. I agree the glasses & pitcher are cute.
I know the ladle was not wanting to pour a massive jug, but I will be using a ladle because watching you do it made it feel more “punch-like” and elegant. Now, I need to workshop the apricot and allspice, because my order won’t arrive for a few weeks. Thank you! 🎉
Hey Anders great video as always!! Talking about punch, have you heard of quentão? It’s a Brazilian warm delicacy made with cachaça or wine and lots of spices, great for colder days. Sending best wishes!!
This sounded so scrumptious, but alas its hard to source Pear Liqueur and Allspice Dram in my neck of the woods so I substituted with some Boilo (PA Coal Country spiced whiskey---festive drink/cold remedy), made up a batch for a fall festival, and it got rave reviews! Thanks for all the inspiration!
Rumor has it that on the set of Return of the Jedi one of the caterers made something similar to this but used blue curacao instead of the pear liqueur which led to the use of Blue Harvest as the working title of that film.
Anders, wonderful video yet again, excited to try it at a Halloween party coming up! Also, my friend has a cat named Yonder, he has now been named Yonders Erikason in your honor 😄
Have the Halloween parties started yet? Asking for a friend.
Sure have🎉☠️
My buddy asked me literally last night for a Halloween party punch idea. 😅
If you need an excuse for extra Halloween parties, come to Sweden... Rumor has it Leandro is going as you
Just got home from Total Wine loaded down the the ingredients. Can’t wait to try this!
"Just me and Az drinking this today" *pours half a bottle of rum in the pitcher*
that's what i thought too 😂
Right, even though the mixture has just over 17% alcohol (strong wine) it is almost 3 bottles of strong wine. That's a nice fall day right there.
“black tea rum punch with autumn flavors” has simultaneously activated every neuron in my brain. excited for this one!
Love it. Cheers
@@AndersErickson cheers from Rogers Park 🤙🤙🤙
Right?!!! Same for me! Lol!
Most, if not all, fans of this channel would be happy to be your friends! I know I would love to hang out with you and Az!

Same boat
If you wanted 1 serving it would be:
1 oz Appleton Estate /Jamacian Rum
3/4 Lairds Apple Brandy
1/2 Pear Liquerur
1/4 All Spice Dram
1/2 Demerara syrup
3/4 Lemon Juice
2 oz Black tea
Your face and shrug after "That's what I think of in Autumn...things are dying" 😆I agree, that is what the festivities of this season are all about 🍂
Nothing more millennial than wanting to learn a punch recipe to host all the friends I don't have.
Wow. This just cut me to my core.
I’ve been seen and I don’t like it 😢
😮
I wish I have a house to invite my friends to.
Nothing more zoomer than wanting to learn a punch recipe when I am not of legal drinking age
Never been this early in my life. literally just got back to my apartment wondering what I was gonna make for a party next Thursday and voila!!!!
Let the party begin. Happy weekend

If you want warm punch a crock pot set to "warm" or "low" works well.

Black Bean Margarita
3 OZ reposado Tequila
3/4 OZ black bean can juice
1 OZ Cointreau orange liqueur
Half OZ agave syrup
Half a tablespoon chopped cilantro
Pinch cumin
Pinch chili powder
Pinch cayenne pepper
4 muddled lime wedges or juice of half a lime
Shake in cocktail shaker with ice
Pour over ice, sprinkle with salt (black salt if you have it) and enjoy!
Great! Now I just need some friends to make this for…

a mystery was solved when I saw that your mason jar was tinted. Otherwise, I was wondering how in the hell did he brew tea that thick?!
Can finally get through the rest of my pear liqueur! Curious to try this with half demarara syrup and half cinnamon syrup (or some mix of the two).
Made a small batch tonight and it was fantastic, Anders! Can't wait to share with friends tomorrow!
Definitely want to try this even though I’m not generally hugely into tea. Guessing it’ll blend in nicely and I might still dig it.
Need to figure out a sub for the tea bc allergic to black tea...wondering if could sub cinnamon or chicory tea?
I mixed up a batch of this delightful autumnal punch for a friend's birthday party and was thoroughly pleased with the outcome. It beautifully balances citrus, fruit, and rum funk. We absolutely love it! Cheers.
Could you do more of these please? Christmas, other holidays? I did a punch last year for Christmas and it was a hit but I’d love more recipes!
I need a batch drink to bring to an event tomorrow and BAM this video comes out! Thank you!
Thought requires a lot of ingredients I do not have. Will have to price it out.
I made this. And it was delicious. 10/10 recommend
"You don't want to get wasted on a big bowl of booze" I feel we have been going to different parties
Anders you just gave me my favorite fall cocktail.
I needed a punch for this Saturday for a Halloween party my wife is throwing and then you dropped this the other day, and I went and got the ingredients today. 1 oz Appleton estate signature
3/4 oz applejack
.5 oz pear liqueur
.25 (homemade) allspice dram
3/4 oz (your recipe) cinnamon syrup
3/4 oz lemon juice
1 oz black tea
Shaken and served up with grated nutmeg.
Caffeinated rum punch!! Yes pls
This almost ended me and my friends at a party last weekend. 10/10 would do again
Made this for Thanksgiving and it was so delicious and balanced and festive!! Fantastic recipe Anders 🦃
Just made a full recipe of this punch for my family at an early Thangsgiving and it’s spectacular!
Looks Dangerously Delectable
I think the color is great! Reminds me of taffy apples.
Love this recipe, made it for Friendsgiving and it was such a hit I had to make three batches! Thanks for the help Anders
Made this for the holiday office party and it was a massive hit. I even bought a heat safe borosilicate glass pitcher and warmed it up and it was amazing, and I don't even like tea.
Made this for friends - everyone enjoyed your delicious recipe. Thanks!
Things are indeed dying!! 😂 Like this kinds of traditions. Great video! Love it!!
I will be making this for my Thanksgiving Day gathering! Can't wait to try it!
The rave for Anders is outstanding!

Made this tonight on a whim right after seeing this. Used St. George’s instead for the pear liqueur but otherwise as is. So good!
The spiced pear? Did it work all right?
Yep! Was great. I scaled this up a little bit (x1.75) but otherwise made it as-is. Used a store-bought tea because I was making it for that same night and didn't have time to wait for anything to cool down. It's a really good punch and I'd make it again.@@brookspn

Wow this was so good. New favorite fall drink. Great job Anders.
Shweet, love when my favorite cocktail UA-camrs release a new video!
I am making this for our upcoming Halloween party. Supplies on order from Curiada. Can't wait to try.
What a fantastic concoction!!!!….it’s beautiful and festive, and perfect for Autumn!👏👏👏👌👌👌 and I’m sure it’s taste incredible!…a home run Anders!😁😁👍👍 Enjoy your weekend, and CHEERS!🍹🍹

This looks very good and pleasant.
What kind of tea did you use?
Hello! How many people do you think the half-batch serves? Thank you!
Tasted amazing and got several compliments (as well as people going right for the beer). The tea had me pretty wired though. I might look for something less caffeinated next time.
I just bought a bottle of St. George Spiced Pear Liqueur last weekend to make another cocktail. It'll be perfect in this punch. Thanks!
Hey there, in San Antonio, it's a nice 96 degrees! The punch is perfect for our hot fall season. 😂 Who did y'all share the punch with? Love your show and love Oz!
TO THE BAR! ➡️🥃
Thanks, this looks amazing. I am so ready for Fall and having some different drinks to try. I love Summer drinks but it's time to switch up. So thanks to you and the awesome Oz for getting me ready to change these seasons in style.
Always great, but it’s super cool when Az makes an appearance
I will definitely try making this one but i would like to twist with some ginger juices or ginger candy as a garnish.
Love it. I've been making a lot of punch lately. This sounds like a winner!
Thanks Uncle Pete. Happy punching!
Agreed Pete!! I love a good punch and this would be fabulous for a Halloween gathering of friends! If meant to serve warm: would you dilute it with some extra water to replace the ice? Would you suggest a ratio of water to add?
Can’t wait to try this! Wanted to say I like the video editing on this one, too. Great job!
It sounds amazing. Can't wait to try it. Cheers 🍻
Made this for a Halloween party yesterday with peach liqueur instead of pear and it was a big hit
This looks great!10/10 could make. And I’m glad I caught the Calvados pronunciation. I only recently discovered it (but haven’t tried yet) and thot it was Cal-Vad-os instead of Calva-dose. I agree the glasses & pitcher are cute.
Sounds excellent. Nice hair, Az. It's a great look.
We love watching your videos ❤️❤️. You and Oz are so amazing together ❤️❤️
Oz has all the good ideas!
I just enjoy these videos so much!,
I'm a Brit. You say tea and I'm all in.
You have a ton of friends out here in the real world. Can't wait to try this
I see you, Az, with your table tricks at the end.
This looks wonderful!
[Takes a sip] Oh, this is fantastic.
“A big brown drink with brown ice in it” 😂😂😂😂
Really enjoying the channel! At some point will you discuss saline solution and it’s application in cocktails?
I would PERSONALLY use lime juice bc its the same kind of acid as in apples AND chai masala
I know the ladle was not wanting to pour a massive jug, but I will be using a ladle because watching you do it made it feel more “punch-like” and elegant. Now, I need to workshop the apricot and allspice, because my order won’t arrive for a few weeks. Thank you! 🎉

Thanks for the idea Anders! I'm hosting a fall party here soon, and this is the timeliest video for the occasion!
Would you add water to the hot version beforehand? Like to add the dilution ice normally offers?
If you made this warm, do you need to add any more dilution since there is no ice?
The only question is hoq to make it prettier than a jug of dirt 😅
Could you make a bar tricks video please ? Like spinning, throwing stuff etc
This looks amazing!! Bring on the festive drinks!!
feels like this would be a good candiate for milk clarification, would you use the measurements for all?
Thanks for the great recipe! 😋👍
That’s some nice brown, hand flavored ice
I really want to try and make a milk clarified version of this drink. Seems to already have the perfect acidity levels to make it work!
just a random reference
'Harvest Moon' is one nice track by Sunflower Bean, check
So, all they had at the liquor store was St. George's Spiced Pear. Do y'all reckon that'll work all right?
Having just made this with St George's, yeah it works great.
Rumor has it that on the set of Return of the Jedi one of the caterers made something similar to this but used blue curacao instead of the pear liqueur which led to the use of Blue Harvest as the working title of that film.
You'll need the worlds largest Boston shaker to mix that.
I'm suspecting this to make a next-level mulled wine if you swap the tea for red wine and serve it warm. Definitely gonna do some experimentation.
Looks really good.
Anders, wonderful video yet again, excited to try it at a Halloween party coming up! Also, my friend has a cat named Yonder, he has now been named Yonders Erikason in your honor 😄
