Early 80s though, Disney was basically on the brink of bankruptcy, and was nearly bought up by other companies, so I think they were just stuck in there “what would Walt do?” phase and didn’t want to try anything new. But they released Roger Rabbit AND Nightmare Before Christmas under the Touchstone label because they did not want parents thinking it was rated G child friendly. Roger Rabbit has A LOT of adult situations, and Nightmare Before Christmas, that wanted to market it has something more scary, that adults and teens would love.

Funny that this video was brought up. Just two days ago, my (much younger) coworker and I were discussing the movie (and the DeLorean). He was wondering why they picked 88mph for the movie, and I told him that many cars in the 80's (including that PRV V6 DeLorean) could barely get up to 88mph in a reasonable amount of time/space.
Not to be a "that guy" but if you're gonna drive around with the hover board in the seat, you also need the Mr. Fusion mod installed if you want to be completely accurate.
That is literally one of the most iconic cars ever made, and 99% of people will recognize it without any doubt! I've seen it a few times at ComicCons, not to mention K.I.T.T. from Knight Rider, the Ecto-1 from Ghostbusters, the Chevy Impala from Supernatural, the Jurassic Park Jeep, the General Lee from Dukes of Hazard, cars for the Fast and Furious franchise, the classic Batmobile and the '89 Batmobile... you name it! Totally cool!
I'm surprised the DeLorean wasn't modified and re-released after Back to the Future premiered. It's such an awesome looking car and is now an icon of course!

@@not.supermario delorean have made or are making a sports car with gull wing doors, But looks nothing like the original, I just know like many others that if it was identical to the original it would make them so much more money. perhaps they just want to keep the original rare and iconic, i suppose if all of a sudden there were millions on the roads the nostalgia would wear off. Id love a delorean, but just out of my price range. lol

Side note, not to nit pick or anything but he said this was the first movie, roll out the trailer first time we see it version but yet there's a hoverboard from BTTF:2 lol just had to say it lol the guy did one hell of a job making it so movie accurate, took alot of time and dedication to not only make this movie accurate as far as looks but even the sounds are just spot on its incredible..I remember being a kid and this was my first real movie car crush hahah when people had pictures of Lamborghini Countach's on their wall, there I was right next to the smaller Countach poster a big movie poster of BTTF DeLorean and man I thought they looked sooooo fast I thought woah that thing would smoke a Lamborghini..man was my heartbroken when a friend of the family had a DeLorean and I got a ride and finally realized how heavy, clunky, and just underpowered they truly were. Standing still they look like they could do 150+ ..starts moving and you realize man Marty musta had a hell of a time getting this tank up to 88mph😂😂 Marty Mcfly you sir are a true legend!
