    What is the maximum period of maternity benefits 12 weeks or 26 weeks?? Please clarify

      According to the 2017 amendment, it has been increased from 12 to 26.

    Sir.. if I'm not wrong the leave has increased from 12 weeks to 26 weeks in 2017 amendment

      Hi The Dreamingbug, You are right, check 2017 & onward Amendments, rest is fine. Since these laws are going to be replaced by new Labour Codes, I am working on codes instead of Amendments in existing laws...

    SIR, I am in doubt. Latest amendments: In Maternity benefit act, A female gets leave with cash 8 weeks before and 18 weeks after from the date of child birth.

    Sir if i do not take 6 weeks post delivery, can i avail all 12 weeks after delivery? My employer is denying to pay for all 12 weeks as i worked till last day of my due date

    You have not explained section 12 properly. If possible please tell the exact meaning of this section from the original and exact lines of the act.

    Sir aap lawyer hai ek question hai yadi koi probation me hai banks me usko service ke ek mahine baad miscarriage hota hai wo 5 din ka off leti hai to kya wo loss of pay hoga sir maternity benefit ke tahat cover nhi hoga jisme leaves with wages milati hai

      Dear Nishu, Aap Maternity benefits claim kar sakte hai, uske baad bhi agar aap service resume nahi Karte to aapke service contract ke anusar, School apko show cuase notice de sakta hai.
