- Probably one of my most useless videos but I was always curious about this and I'm glad I did it. I've played this game since its release and I never once knew that she actually says her real name.

This has to be NG+ because you can't talk to Best Waifu to level up your character or use estus, but here you can see estus and lots of HP

What I always wanted was the Emerald Herald hair style in the character creator. If you already can make an absolute beauty character like Ray's one, imagine a female character with her hair.

I always feel like there's this weird meta with all the dialogue in soulsborne games. That it's aimed at you the player rather than your character
The Dark Souls games when analyzed tend to be very meta just because the amount of thought put into their gameplay design. Bloodborne too, for example life representing a player's desire to win or whatever it was
@@Tracker947 Bloodborne describes HP as "One's desire and will to survive" So, in world logic, when your HP drops to zero character's mind (or body or both) gives up and accepts death.

You will find yourself at Drangleic Castle, without really knowing why.
It seems like an observation that the player is just doing all this for the sake of playing the game, unquestioning. But it also doesn't give the option to question, nor any reason for any of it, so it comes off a bit snobbish.
You can't have the person telling you specifically where to go, the castle for the opening video scene, or Aldia's Keep, here, with the Herald, then not have them tell you why you need to go there, while at the same time make them comment about not knowing why you need to go there.

That's what she meant by not coming out as intended. She's oblivious of everything around her and just repeats "Seek, Seek, Lest."
I recently started DS2 today with a couple of friends and it was our first time playing it.
Yeah we fucked up big time by joining the champions covenant and we didn't know it stopped us from summoning each other. Besides that we also went to the Dragonrider boss fight first and decided to turn back and encountered the pursuer and found the right path after a long track of "so I went this way and I'm surrounded by turtle men, and this npc invasion too op!". We finally reached the right path and just beat those three knights boss fight after pursuer and decided to stop there.
Just a brief summary of our first playthrough followed by one raging and screaming out of shock while I was the meat shield knight that had all the aggro while the two sorcerer's stayed a safe distance from me.
So far 10/10 for punishing ourselves and making us go through agony, pain, torture, confusion and "WHY??????!!!!!!!!".
Found out my friend had almost finished the game with just 8 ADP because he didn’t know about I-frames. My girl was doing a challenge run and didn’t even know lmao
@@drakebloodknight7981 did she also have her friends block the narrow pathway that prevented me from retreating from a barrage of enemies only to end up dying consistently over the course of our run/boss fight/"LET ME OUT!!!"?
@@esebato24 that’s like a rite of passage. I think her biggest thing was running past enemies instead of killing them and then getting stunlocked to death at the fog doors. She also refused to learn magic or use weapon buffs.
@@drakebloodknight7981 getting stunlocked at fog gates is probably one of my favourite features, it's great when you invade someone who doesn't know you don't get I frames for them and you backstab them at the boss fog

I have over 1000 hours in DS2, I've watched tons of videos related to DS2 and this is the first time I've realised those rain drops bouncing of your armour at 4:50

I've never noticed it either, despite beating the game a tonne of times AND despite my being Irish.
There is concept art and an unused model of Young child Shanalotte. And there is in the credits of a Young Shanalotte.
I always suspected meeting the young version in Dragon Aerie was intended. As for how this would actually make any sense, we don’t really know.
My guess is the little child version is her true form, and the adult versions are manifestations (which she mentions about, but without the child version, people speculate the manifestation was referring to the old hag in the intro cinematic.)
WOW rewatching this reminded me how impactful Aldia's dialogue is and how much more impactful than the emerald heralds dialogue hare. Though it's not hard to be more impactful than NOTHING AT ALL!

I just realized no one wears pants in some of these types of videos.
I've played the fuck out of DeS, DS1, DS3, Bloodborne and have started DS2 and SOTFS at least twice each and never stayed on it. Your daily uploads on it are making me want to push forward to play it. I mean you've played it soooooo much, on a daily basis, there must be something to it I haven't yet "got". You're the reason I'll play it, you're DS2's best ad.

I actually did this once, but I wasn't expecting her to have any unique dialogue I just wanted to play at a specific level with no flask... which sucked because I'm one of these weirdos who hordes my consumables for a rainy day, even though I know that rainy day will never come. Like a dragon sitting on a stockpile of life gems and Gwynevere's Gamer Girl Water.

You have to talk to him in 3(?) different locations. I know one is Black Gultch after the Rotten and one the fire in the Dragon Aerie inside the little house after the bridge. You have to answer yes every time.
I love how DS2 was hated by everyone the last couple o years and now it's so hardly requested that the price went up from 10$ to 60$ , dark souls never died
The hate was exaggerated, true it wasn't as good as the first game but it was good in alot of ways , too large as well :D

I have a question: if you have never talked to the Emerald Herald before, from the very start to the very end, then why do you have both Estus and Aged Feather? Were you already on NG+ (or even beyond that) when you decided to attempt to discover an hypothetical secret dialogue? What I mean is: could the game take notice of your past run(s) even if you're technically doing a "new" journey (I mean on the same character file, of course), thus preventing the dialogue from appearing? That being said, I don't think there'd be any secret dialogues at all, but I guess no one can really tell, without trying first...
