Hot Process Dual Lye Shaving Soap - Palm Free Recipe

Video making hot process palm free shaving soap with potassium hydroxide and sodium hydroxide. Hot process soap can let this soap to be used immediately. This shaving soap recipe I am sharing this time will also be a dual lye recipe.
Please always follow safety requirements while making soap! Sodium/Potassium hydroxide is caustic and can cause burns on skin or on mucous membranes!
To make a dual lye solution, I normally dissolve the potassium hydroxide in water first because from experience the heat caused to the water drops quicker than sodium hydroxide. I then add the sodium hydroxide into the same solution once the container is not hot to touch and the solution is clear. It is important to mix your hydroxides one at time! Make sure your solution has become clear after adding the other.
This video will also show you how to use the soap calculator to calculate the proper amounts to add in the formula to make a hard, stable and long lasting bar.
Recipe:
50% Soy wax
7.5% Cocoa Butter
7.5% Shea Butter
25% Coconut Butter
10% Castor oil
38% Lye concentration
5% superfat
3% Essential Oil
