Thanks for the break down. This explains why salycilic acid never really worked for me but other acids do. Oil has never been my problem, I have dry skin. My acne is caused by the dead skin build up. My skin is bad at exfoliating itself for whatever reason. No one talks about dry skin acne prone people. But from what you say it sounds like glycolic, lactic acid, etc. like you said would be better for dry skin acne prone folks since they exfoliate. I have personally had good results from azelaic acid and the 30 day miracle creme from Some By Mi.
I just discovered your channel and I have been binge watching and sharing with my friends and family! I have been doing so many terrible things to my face for years!(apricot scrub) Your videos are eye opening and easy to follow. Thank you so much!!
I always stick by my retinol and my salicylic exfoliators. I remember when I first got into skincare and I loved the idea of nose strips but then I bought one for the first time and it quite literally pulled skin off my nose
@@tulipp7064 the retinol and salicylic exfoliators works really well for me at getting rid of blackheads, but i wouldnt really recomend using nose strips if you have sensitive skin, maybe just as a fortnightly thing
Hi Doctor can you please make a video about oral supplements which can help with acne prone skin supplements like zinc if they actually worth using or not.
tldr, add an alpha hydroxy acid and retinol to your skincare routine. do not use pore strips no matter how satisfying, it's damaging to the skin. also no physical scrubs, can be damaging. squeezing/pressing/suction hurts the skin and can cause scarring
Just found your very informative channel! You have one subscriber more now :) My question/video suggestion: Can you say something about dehydrated oily skin (Seborrhoea Sicca) and recommend some products? I have trouble keeping the moisture in my face 😔
Wow, glad I found this channel yesterday. I just started trying to rid of my blackheads so this is well timed. Edit: Wow, I'm glad I am already buying all the right products and avoiding the bad stuff.
Great video as always. Skincare beginner here! Can you compare and review between these specific barrier creams: the *illiyoon ceramide ato concentrate cream, the soon Jung 2x barrier intensive cream* , and *the purito dermide cica barrier sleeping pack* ?
Fml. I’m a typical guy and was curious how to remove blackheads and now I feel like I’ve got to be a skincare diva and it all looks soo complicated 😂 cba but thanks lol
I have lumps left where I squeezed blackheads years ago. Is there anything I can do to at least minimise them? I use a BHA exfoliator every day and retinol at night.
Hey Doc! Just seen your channel, is there anything you can recommend removing ice pick scars? I plan on getting laser treatment in the future but wanted to see your thoughts on things I can try. I tried egg yolk and lemon mixed with honey but still no results.
Look at your skin care isle. Find the acids he talked about in the ingredients of a face soap or mask. Try cleaning your blackheads once a day or as much as your skin can handle. Just remember to be gentle with your skin.
Thank you Ingky Dr. , you might be can review some by mi bye bye blackhead product, I think that also viral in the social media, I still considering to buy it, but not sure whether is gentle and effective?
Love your videos! They are so informative- I love the education! I already know I'm so much better at skin jargon, reading ingredients and understanding the skin barrier
You can use : - the soap cerave blemish control cleanser, - konjac sponge from sefora, with vertical movements (like the path of a robot vacum cleaner) to do the washing and remove most of the soap. - and cerave resurfacing retinol serum for the moisturizer. Also 2 tips that realy worked for removing acnee on my face after years, were : - 1) don't wash your face with running water, once you've finished the soaping remove the soap with cold water in your hand that you splash on your face (all my butons started to fade away since i'm doing this instead of just putting my head under water). - 2) Apply the moisturizer with the back of your hand (back of fingers) instead of the palm (ofc you will have washed your hands completely before applying the moisturizer), it's a technique from my sister and it realy works as it looks like less bacterias are on the back of the hand, and it makes the moisturizer penetrate better in the skin. n.b. after reflection those advice might not be great as i still have acne scars whereas my sister's skin is perfect, so my routine isn't near good enough. But at least they look more like open pores and not like acne scars, and i almost don't have any new button now.
i once go to the doctor because of black heads and she use manual extraction ,then put bleach on my skin and it badly damage my skin ...i still have so many scarring, and i dont know how to recover it...😞
Salicylic acid can treat blackheads and whiteheads because it breaks down the materials that clog pore. Another is AHA glycolic acid , it is slightly more gentle on your pores but also works to resurface the skin and minimise fine lines.
should I use my salysilic acid and my glycolic acid at the same time in my routine? i actually changed from glycolic to salysilic cause the aha was too strong for my skin and burned, so what should i do? thank u'
Hada labo has cleansers with both aha and bha in it. It's great. Maybe you should try that instead of using individual ingredient on its own. I have sensitive skin but the cleanser hasn't bothered me for years now. It helped me reduce and prevent my acne and blackheads, and also gotten rid of my blemishes too.
I tried mandelac acid exfoliater on my face but my skin started producing toooo much oil.and some months ago i used cerave calicylic acid cleanser that reacted on my skin so badly. I have seen chemical exfoliaters dont suit on my oily and acni skin
I ve has black heads for like 15 years and im 24. Nothing helps, acids peelings and even professional visists to the dermathologists and treatments. I reduced them by like 30% only over one year due to skin care but thats it
Have you tried working out and working up a sweat or a sauna? I’m prone to blackheads but realize recently I was sweating in years. Once I started working out sweating I noticed my pore looking much better.
Currently using the Corsx remover pads to clean up the area with blackheads due to more sebum production recently. Guess I have to switch back to combination skincare after a short period of dry sensitive skin...
Useful for skin
1) Alpha hydrolic acid
2) Salicylic acid
3) Retinol
Harmful for skin
1) Pore strips
2) Harsh physical scrubs
3) Manual extraction
4) Manual suction devices
What should I use to remove black/white heads? I wanna buy something but idk what works
