XD still so relevant synth ! Any chance the firmware is updated to support new gen logueSDK at least for the FX ? (not sure if we can expect that for OSC->sound engines as this would basically mean making it a hybrid multi-timbral).
so if I want to write a new sound from scratch over a blank slate based on the current positioning of the dials, do I need to press SHIFT and WRITE, -or- EDIT MODE, PROGRAM EDIT, INTIALIZE, WRITE? - what is the difference?
I'm really thinking of getting the XD Module. I'm not a very experienced Synth player. This looks like it might be a good beginner Synth. I just want something that sounds good. I'm a guitar player, and I just want something I can turn on and try to make some music.
Also check out minifreak. More steps in the sequencer and 6 voices. Many presets. So, you can easily prpgram chord progressions, arpeggiation, or a nice pad to jam on. Good luck!

I second that. I really wished they did a firmware update. I feel like korg abandoned the xd.
I’m curious what do you think needs to be updated? I’ve been pretty happy with mine the last year.
