- Today we'll be changing the front diff fluid on my 2015 Impreza (CVT). This video highlights using the check plug valve to fill the differential and bypassing the fill plug on the CVT. In this video I mention using about a quart and half of fluid. The manual references needing on 1.3qt so please keep that in mind.

what are the torque specs for the plugs?
I know this is hella late, but 50nm for 8mm and 10mm hex bolts. 70nm for the T70 torx hex bolt.
Just did this myself
What brand did you use for the taillights assembly
Colin LED
@@WillisDo thanks I have a 2012 impreza sport wagon
Torque specs?
what’s the mile interval to change the diff fluid?
I believe it's every 30K but I could be wrong.
Michael farag
Recommended interval is 60K
From what I've seen that not the correct fill plug for the front diff
The actual fill plug is pretty difficult to access on this diff. I've heard filling via the check like in this video works fine, but I would love to hear so from a dealership technician.
**Edit: @ChrisWY27 is right. I replaced the front diff fluid last night in my '14 Outback using the fill plug that's above the right inner CV boot. It's also an 8mm hex, just like the check plug. Filling from above was a lot easier than trying to pump from below the car.
