Home from work, dogs fed, I'm next, brewskis open... and oh whats this... a 700hp Fairlane gets a bit more wooshka from the SkidFax boys? Hell yes!!! Keep up the good work gents!
My Dad bought one of these in 69. 302 auto with white interior and same blue. He traded a 63 fairlane compact....black! It was the Tasmanian govenors car. Wish I had that car today. There was not a scratch on it! When I was a kid I was allowed to wash it....under supervision. My old man was the original mug lair! Coming from a small town in southern Tassy he had a taste for nice rides. First auto, a studebaker I think. HE had a matching desoto sedan and ute before the fords.
Straight to the comments to comment on the awesome editing and small details (scratching record on the turbine) and the awesome 80s music on top of the awesome mechanical work, mint!
I’ve said “Woody’s gone up another level with his editing” so many times, that I may as well add it to my iPad’s autocorrect for when I type GOAT. Bloody hell it’s impressive.
I'm back at work this week and didn't get a chance to watch during the week. Glad I waited till the weekend and watched it through in one hit. Top episode fellas.
Your episodes are getting better and better. Awesome editing and music. Also great to see older projects coming back for improvements. Kai is an absolute dude. Obviously knows his stuff, a pretty humble and positive bloke.
Me too. My twin turbo V8 has a factory Air-to-water setup. Works fantastic, even at 10:1 compression and 19psi. Fantastic to see more aftermarket builds using water.
Hi I'm the guy who sold the owner the tub intake lol. I had issues with keeping the 1uz turbo cool aswell. Was a prick. Ended up taking out the thermostat. Putting in a Welsh plug into the rear of the thermostat housing and drilling a small hole. Think it was around 5.5mm. Then putting in a inline thermostat housing and chev thermostat. That worked great to keep it cool. Then ran twin au fans and water expansion tank. That kept it cool no probs even in 40 degree C perth heat.
Awesome work guys! I’m gearing up (more like cleaning out my shed) to build on my projects that have been patiently waiting. You’re episodes are keeping me amped up for the work to come.
This episode was really good, you got a lot done in a single ep and I enjoyed all the montage and music, breaking it into sections and not dragging it out for 5 episodes, great stuff!
Great work as per usual guys 👍 I believe that a thermostat is there also to slow down the coolant flow through the radiator to allow enough time to pull heat out of the coolant.
Nice work guys. If he does stop and stare at his car on the grass I can't says that I blame him. I've always liked the look of those old Fairlanes. Also, Roger! Best woofer.
I was very surprised by the removal of the thermostat. Thanks for explaining. I was always taught the thermo controlled the flow rate but you pointed out the system has its own flow control restrictions built in. Always learning. Cheers.
Older engines with huge coolant hoses may need a flow controller but modern stuff is more likely to have smaller passages and hoses which offer flow control. Removal of thermostats in modern stuff often requires modification to remove the internal bypass also. If you simply remove the thermostat the coolant will circulate and not pass through the radiator. There are many variations.
My brother had a Mk4 Escort RS Turbo with a Garrett on it, the previous owner worked in F1 and installed a Custom F1 Intercooler into the thing. Think it was made by Pace Products if I remember. Tiny little thing but we used to get about 170 MPH with no overheating issues. 0 - 60 in around 7 seconds. Didn't take long for that car to get stolen though!
Woody the man, rolling out some extreme high quality, smooth shots with awesome music timed with shot changes all forming yet another masterpiece. Thanks for your massive efforts, I love this level of content and appreciate the time your putting in 👌
Nice work. With the bosch 044 pump setup you could have replaced them with a couple of AEM 380 fuel pumps, but that raceworks unit is rather slick so I get the change.
I'm digging on that new surge tank. I've been looking for a way to redesign the fuel system on my 709 whp Civic and that just might be the way to do it. I currently have -6 nylon braided hose from the tank out of a rewired and relayed Walbro Hellcat 530 LPH pump with an Aeromotive external FPR, Skunk2 composite fuel rail, Grams 2200cc injectors, and a -6 return to nickel copper hard line. It runs on E85 and it maintains fuel pressure fairly easily. The pump is fairly quiet (considering the "Whinebro" moniker) and it hasn't run out of flow yet, but I wouldn't ever want it to. I don't run it very often, but I tried to build it with overkill parts if I ever wanted to really turn it up. As far as specs go the next weak link is the Eagle H-beam rods (which are only rated for 150 HP per rod and its making more than that rn).
Props for stuffing this all into 1 ep rather than dragging it out over 2 or 3.. legends 🤘
You say DRAGGING, I say more episodes mean more room for Knowledge time with Al, and more shenanigan's with Woody.
Loving the montage, editing and music work on this. Amazing once again Woody.
The montage music was absolutely on point
One of them was very Satriani like.
If Woody is still doing all the video production, he may be wasting his talents on youtube. A LOT went into that one.
So good seeing something different!! Was very enjoyable. 🍻
@@Sf_Mason exactly my thoughts! Thought it couldn't get any better!
I think Woody was in a unique mood with this video. Epic but unique.
Cocaine is my guess. This has 70's Miami vibes all over
Woody is broken. He needs to stay behind the camera, never ever in front
Thank you woody for all the hammer sound replacements, makes my day every time I hear it!
Home from work, dogs fed, I'm next, brewskis open... and oh whats this... a 700hp Fairlane gets a bit more wooshka from the SkidFax boys? Hell yes!!! Keep up the good work gents!
417 Motorsports inter cooler brick. All the way from my town Springfield MO to Australia!
Good to see the old 8 ball make a return.
Kye's cheeky laugh and he get a roll cage and a chute made me have a good chuckle. Love your work boys! Thank you.
It you know it is true… power creep
Another amazing video, as always! Btw the music for this video is freaking brilliant! It really feels like a big quality step up!
Really enjoying the 80s music 👌 great upgrade to the Fairlane
Great work on the video
The scratch effects over the turbine wheel spins was a choice move
Woody starting to have fun with the editing, great job!
loving the soundtrack
All I could think of is "Training Montage" from Family Guy. 😆
So bloody 👍
Sounds like an 80's porno
lmao at that last scene, Al is such a legend.
Editing on point Woody!
holy crap, song at 7:54 is an absolute banger.
great choice lads
Hollywood boys. Editing is everything these days, and you boys are smashing it.
Love the 80s music montage. Excellent work. You guys definitely know what your doing.
I'm sure the welds under that glass wrap are amazing. amazing editing, I was head bobbing to the montage. great work.
Love that this was one video. Some channels would have broken this build update into 2 or 3 segments.
Nice outcome for the new mods 👌🏻. Nice editing for this one woody 😁

This channel goes above and beyond the rest for me. Huge fan in Florida. Cheers
Was not expecting an 80's style montage! So rad!
At 5:45 I thought that was part of the music. Had to rewind just to be sure. Nicely done!
The squeaky hammers are funny AF too.
That 80's music during the fab video? 🤣👍
9.31 love the 80' music. Felt like the A Team... 😁😁😁😁🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾
what an underserved channel. Should be at least 900k

The borg turbos seem to be crazy efficient.
During tuning my 1.3 litre, my SX200 borg made 250hp at just 3psi on 98 petrol.
How did you get a reliable reading at such low pressure?
Kye is a legend! All the knowledge of the hoff but happy!
That eightball😄
And all sound effects and musics👌
Al has got so famous he has a hand stunt double, not a grazed knuckle in sight! As ever educational, entertaining and unmissable, top work gents.
Fellas the 80's synth music in the montage is mint 👌
This is the coolest car.
And this episode was awesome, really liked the music too.
Great job like always.
Loved the music and editing. Turbo deck scratching was on point. Looking forward to seeing the car in action.
Woody Spielberg bringing the top notch action! Top video boys and that 80s soundtrack was siiick! 😎
I’ve said “Woody’s gone up another level with his editing” so many times, that I may as well add it to my iPad’s autocorrect for when I type GOAT. Bloody hell it’s impressive.
i absolutely love the outtakes and extras at the end where al just is having fun and being weird. makes him feel a little less intimidating
I'm back at work this week and didn't get a chance to watch during the week. Glad I waited till the weekend and watched it through in one hit. Top episode fellas.
Great Soundtrack this week boys
Killer edit Woody! Love the 80s vibes. The fairlane looks insane now
Hey love this type of recording Woody!! The music and clips tell a story!
Kai seems like an amazing dude, need more of his type in the game, so many grumpy asses in the scene.
Agreed. The grumps keep me from being a customer. In fact I have no projects to speak of.
What a video!!! Well done!!!
A lot happened in 1 episode. Awesome
Your episodes are getting better and better. Awesome editing and music. Also great to see older projects coming back for improvements.
Kai is an absolute dude. Obviously knows his stuff, a pretty humble and positive bloke.
As soon as Al mentioned a water to air system, I got excited about the reservoir. Not disappointed. Great video, mates!
Me too. My twin turbo V8 has a factory Air-to-water setup. Works fantastic, even at 10:1 compression and 19psi. Fantastic to see more aftermarket builds using water.
Really appreciated the retrowave soundtrack to this episode👍
It is just silly how high quality content this is.... just loving it.
Love the 80's synth pop tunes! Would have gone well with some neon lights, mullets and suit jackets with the sleeves rolled up

I did the same to the Lolvo wagon years ago but didn't bother with a thermostat. Has worked well for many years.
Awesome work guys! I’m gearing up (more like cleaning out my shed) to build on my projects that have been patiently waiting. You’re episodes are keeping me amped up for the work to come.
This editing style is the best I've seen. Hilarious as well. You'd never assume Al would be such a funny guy.
Crank it up Al! Nice work on the Fairlane too.
This episode was really good, you got a lot done in a single ep and I enjoyed all the montage and music, breaking it into sections and not dragging it out for 5 episodes, great stuff!
Excellent vid, loved Woody messing around with the audio edits and such, also neat to see the Fairlane getting turnt up! Good show ol chaps!
Dude, the "editor" needs a raise! 🙌
Has woody learnt some new production skills? 😍
Watching this makes me feel like I'm in my shop. This music is what I wrench to. Sweet jams!
Great work as per usual guys 👍

And to slow the coolant flow so it has sufficient time to pull heat out of the engine.
I just love this car. It’s a beautiful old school car that has a shit ton of power…what’s not to love.
The 80’s montage and hammer sound effects make this the best episode yet 😆
It's the Music, editing and closing scene for me
Nice work guys. If he does stop and stare at his car on the grass I can't says that I blame him. I've always liked the look of those old Fairlanes.
Also, Roger! Best woofer.
My favorite build on UA-cam just keeps getting better
we are here

I haven’t had this much fun watching an automotive video in a while, awesome video and that last clip of Al was hilarious 😂
Kye is so good on camera at explaining is thoughts. Great to see
I've loved this build since the beginning!
That was actually pretty good by Al at the end there.
Excellent editing Woody! Love the update on the Fairlane! Thanks for the fantastic content!
That Mattie Maguire track is fire! Also Woody should be working in Hollywood with his editing chops!
Nice!
Top job with the editing Woody. I also felt like the pace of explanation to hands on footage was spot on, kept me watching all the way through👍👍
Nice to see the pointer again
Great editing and music Woody 👌🏻
One of the best episodes yet. Love the format.
Fkn WHOOSH!
It's the cheeky edits that makes it more worthwhile. Well done lads.

Those pump hangers are mint, I run one as an intank setup with twin walbro 460's feeding 2000cc injectors in my old Jeep.
The music in this one is done so well guys
Love the tunes, the work and the car. Great vid chaps
Great episode! Loved the editing! Enjoyed watching!
That Fairlane is a stunning car. Nice work on the upgrades blokes!
Mark is one cool dude
Woody the retrosynth was on point!
FYI for those wondering it's Racing Hearts by Mattie Maguire
Woody the man, rolling out some extreme high quality, smooth shots with awesome music timed with shot changes all forming yet another masterpiece. Thanks for your massive efforts, I love this level of content and appreciate the time your putting in 👌
Impressive subtle change with the video and sound/music editing.
Great show fellas, I noticed something flying out of the blow off valve on one of the pulls!!
If you slow it down Woody edited a word in but I couldn't read it ? Hey Woody what does it say ???
@@jasoncampbell5518 I didn’t see that bit of wording
FKN WOOSH! LOL
@@chrisrosie0584 😁
Didn’t think this could get any better, then ya decide to add some 80’s montage music. 👏😍 please keep it up 😂🤙
Cranked in the 80's aerobics music, was waiting for Al to get on his fluro lycra! Awesome (he didnt) and great upgrades to the Ford!
That music for the welding montage and going on from then was the most amazing thing I've ever heard on any car show. I think I had an orgasm.
Love the editing Woody, love the workmanship Al.
That’s awesome..... Can’t wait to see Al’s car make a hit at the track....
Great episode guys, always great to see the 8ball. Cheers from Canada.
