Great analysis. It takes years to find your own style and the style vibe that you like. I love Nordic design: simple minimal, not too much fuss. Favorite designers: Marja Rak (earlier Noolan) and Olars Ulla. Both use lots of wool and linen in their collections. Then there is By Pias Design. Finnish designers who have been working or are still working for Marimekko like Marja Suna. Then there is the Finnish brand Uhana, who became more known when Sanna Marin wore their dress. When it comes to jewelry I love Kalevala Jewelry (many of the pieces are copies of ancient pieces found in archelological places) and Lumoava, which has more modern, silver pieces, all designed in Finland. Then we also have Aarikka, which has colorful Wood jewelry, with simple, timeless designs. For business dressing we have Andiata (very popular, and also woren by the Swedish royalty on multiple occations), and Ril’s. So this is my one style personality, very timeless, classic and Scandinavian. However, to spice things up, I do like & love Italian designers as well-like Dolce Gabbana. Secondhand shopping is the best 😊
Tuba I would really love to see a guide on when things look too worn! I really struggle with getting rid of my old most loved items even when they are truly past their prime. I do think there’s something to be said for not all your clothes looking too brand new, but when is it too far in the other direction?
I understand what you mean and it's a great question! For me it's usually the faded colour or the knees or the back of pants that can get saggy. I am decluttering this weekend and will see what I will find. I would say, anything you don't feel better in than in your cozy homewear is too worn or not your style.
Wow I love the premise of this video so much! And how you effortlessly capture the struggle behind finding your own style or even to find the courage to stick to your style. ❤ One question: what hair products do you use to achieve the wet hair style? Thank you ❤
It’s a tough road and I think it’s an essential life quality impact of being happy with one’s style and how one expresses oneself and shows to the world 🩷 I use a L’Oréal professional wet gel

T, I truly love your quirky English. It does not bother me at all. It is full of charm! But, I believe you care about precision. One small tweak: long or short sleeve is preferred over arm.
I love my personal style, and I am biased towards the Miuccia Prada and her Miu Miu brand. I mix these brands together from tops, skirts and shoes to create super glam looks for night to cool day looks that I style to just hang out with my partner and my cutest little Pomeranian dog going to our favourite cafes and bars. I don't have volumes of clothes from these brands so I cycle through mixing up the looks and they always look on point due to the quality of the fabric.
thats amazing, I love mix and matching, that shows you're great at styling and understand silhouettes and patterns very well! Nothing can destroy a good Prada/miu miu mix up ❣
The only reason I’d keep things instead of decluttering is when you’re either figuring out your style or when you’re going through a season of life where you’re not dressing yourself like you should. I’ve regretted a ton of great purchases because of decluttering. Some people decluttering for dopamine reasons and once they get that hit they regret it later. You should be just as intentional about decluttering as you are purchasing.
Put my foot down when mini-mini-bags and puffed sleeves/cold shoulders had the nerve to show up to the party. Black, white, and grey only, no nail polish, no jewelry, and discovered the Junior Men's section. Built upon these, years later I have a closet I actually wear - including nail polish and jewelry again. Black Derbys for all ;)
Just happen to be doing this right now - I’ve put on weight and I’m older and tbh I think I will only have 3 things left! I only had about 20 items that were so old anyway!
If you're having trouble with decluttering like me, just literally throw your clothes in a box and if you haven't taken them out of that box in like a year just get rid of everything (preferably without looking).
I need help, because I know here are a lot of fashion sophisticated people: is wearing skinny jeans awful now? (Specially with a stretchy feel to it?) is getting rid of them the best thing I can do. ☺️
You can wear them if you like them, I can see a lot of people that wear them and look good and stylish in them. A lot of people say that they are horrible because is a trend hating them, if you feel comfortable in them and you like them I will suggest you to keep them. And if you do not, it is best to get rid of them.
I’m so confused on the body type. Do you mind doing a video sample of when you do this, choosing pieces that are not made for your body type but then you make it work for your body type?
i cannot be that ruthless on decluttering because i don't find often enough clothes that i like to wear. for example i have this dark grey knitted sweater that i bought on vinted that has a weird smell on it and the collar doesn't suit me. still i had to wear this sweater last winter, cuz it is just so practical in autumn and winter and i don't know how to find a better version of it. i always wonder how people find the items they like and that suit them well and that they actually wear

arent you just telling us to throw everything away for hyperconsumerism in the first instruction, very few people can afford to buy anything more than fast fashion and replace their closet with it. They might be able to find thrift store items that are high quality because they didn't use synthetics but that is pretty much the only price conscious option. U already failed.
Not really. I thrift and secondhand purchase linen, cashmere, silk, leather and linen, and have several beautiful things I have paid less than $10. You may just lack an eye and a personal sense of style. Which can’t be fully taught. What can’t be taught can be cultivated with curiosity.
@@Monicalala I literally said that thrifting was the only option for most people if they're looking for quality items, which is what you reiterated. Either way, tho you are definitely speaking from a very privileged place, 1. nobody is going to pretend that thrifting has not become very trendy in recent years and the ability to find quality pieces regularly has drastically decreased. 2. Partly because of that, but also generally, you have to live in an area with a large population of people who regularly can afford to buy high-quality clothes (rich people) that continue to supply them to the local thrift stores for this to work. 3. About the only places are in big cities or other population centers that have large amounts of those people creating that supply. It seems like you're a big fan of Tuba, and are blindly defending her, but that doesn't change the fact you have to be in a very privileged position to get rid of all your clothes and be able to replace them with high-quality items. Whether that means you can afford to do that, or you are the lucky person who lives among a lot of people that can supply thrift stores regularly enough that they don't get depleted, and mind you in sizes that fit you, or you are out of luck. That's why I was criticizing her and maybe you should check your privilege when somebody has a valid class concern instead of telling them that it's their fault they're oppressed... Weird....
We have to keep the main audience for the channel in mind. The person who can only afford fast fashion clothing, is not going to be the main audience for this channel. They're not over consuming anyway. There will be a few outliers, but the information presented would look completely different, if that was the target audience here. While your comment is valid constructive criticism, the audience for that information is going to be very few people here. And while I enjoy Tuba's channel, Tuba would not be able to effectively gear this channel towards that audience. Anybody who's living that life, is going to know, this information isn't for them.
