Jazz fans what's other jazz groups worth checking out??
Dirty Loops and Snarky Puppy are on another level 🤗
Mean It - by Louis Cole (ft. Sam Gendel)
Louis Cole is in the band "Knower", which goes in a similar direction.
Lingus by snarky puppy would be a fantastic song to check out 🤗
@@lakbo1268 second that, it's awesome !
Check out Jazzkamikaze - agent Cooper or level, and Johannes zetterberg - thrill minute
Although I am a metalhead, Dirty Loops is one of my favourite bands. Amazing musicians and a really interesting way of mixing pop, jazz and soul. In some songs its like listening to Stevie Wonder or Michael Jackson collaborating with Snarky Puppy.
Couldn't agree more with your comparisons, except to say THEY'RE BETTER!
A Swedish trio that started a whole new era. They are insanely talented and just that flawless, fretless bass-playing with perfect intontaion is mind-blowing according to me.
Its fretless? Mind blown even more.
@@happybenjfulSting definitely did not have it for a while but it sounded cool anyway. The Police's unique sound was partly the untuned base.
One of the best reactions to this song I have heard, and I've heard quite a few. Dirty Loops makes beautiful, expressive, complex music that is so well balanced that its accessible for casual listeners and wonderfully challenging for music aficionados. The joy expressed in this music is palpable. Well done, Metalbirb. You get it!
"Rock You" and "World on Fire" are excellent tracks from that EP - Phoenix.
I have been listening to them for about a year, really brighten my day. I also like YOUR energy as I am an old women but still feel alive when hearing great music.
You're only as old as you feel and you seem fine to me
Meshuggah or Dirty Loops, we do it all over here. 😍🤘
Swedes are some of the most interesting and talented musicians in the world.
First reaction video I've watched from you, and you did a stellar job of describing the indescribable musicality and virtuosity of the Loops! A+, man.
One year after I first watched your reaction, I need to add that you are one of the very few people who understand that the music under the credits is very much a part of the whole!
Is nobody gonna mention how my mans is shiny af today?
right?!
The US is going to invade his forehead to preserve democracy.
@@mark3p underrated 🤣
He looks Highly Moisturized.
Took me 3 yrs to get here but yeah, I did. LOL Yay, Dirty Loops!
"World on Fire" is another amazing one by them, dude! Glad you enjoyed! Absolute masters of the craft.
Bro was slobbering over the drummer before he even popped off. This is my first of your videos and I'm already hooked. Keep up the good work. Thanks for making my life a little better
Snarky puppy, Jacob Collier, Tigran Hamasyan.
In fact, snarky puppy and Jacob collier do collab with Jacobs song 'Don't you know'. It is legit.
What I appreciate about you is that you watch the entire vid!! Most others chop it up so much that you lose the intensity of the song!! Thx….
They really are a piece of musical movement. Thank you for covering this MBirb.
I sort of fell into their music by following the bass player after seeing his work with Jonathan Lundeberg . I was intrigued and wanted to see what he was up to. I was so ecstatic to find this band. They’re masters at their crafts and such a powerhouse of talent and song writing
Those drums were absolutely nuts. Wow. That was cool as fuck!
🤪😜
Wow, great reaction. You were talking about the good vibes of the video and your reaction was totally good vibes too. Great comments. Really nice to see someone step out of their usual genres and try something new. That said Dirty Loops is a group you can't go wrong with. The thing thats really amazing is though every song is performed at the same extremely high level as witnessed here, somehow every song has a really different sound to it. I'd love to see you do a reaction to Loops song "Next to You." There is a certain epic quality and production feel to this one that I think you'll enjoy. I'm a bit of a metal head myself and "Next to You" was the first Loops song I stumbled onto. Needless to say my music listening landscape has not been the same since. Great work and please consider a reaction to "Next to You."
michael jackson's legacy, quincy jones produce them. Love these guys, incredible skilled musicians
Almost a year on, and I’m stumbling over this reaction again and loving it! The song is insane, as is all of Dirty Loops’ stuff. These three guys, honestly….
You mentioned Dream Theatre, and I wondered if you have yet checked out the cover of ‘Bad’, a solo project by Jonah Nilsson, DL’s singer and keyboardist? It features Jordan Rudess in a short but fire keys solo 🔥 Again, the playing with genres is… worth watching 😊
“Rock You”, “Turbo” (a collab with Cory Wong), “Next to You”, “Coffee Break” or “Coffee Break’s Over” are all vastly different, but awesome songs, guaranteed to blow your mind.
Hope you’ll be doing one of those sometime soon! Enjoy 😉
Next to You by them broke my mind.
You too? 😳
the whole cd!!!
If you want more jazz, rock, fusion, craziness. Check out The Reign of Kindo- Til We Make Our Ascent!! I'll suggest it sometime on Patreon
@10:43 I actually mention The Reign Of Kindo lol
All 3 are phenomenal musicians!! Heinrich is an animal of a Bass player!!
Absolutely love how you are getting into other genres on the channel 🔥🔥🔥
You NEED to check out Jacob Collier iff you want more crazy talented jazz musicians. Time Alone With You or With the Love of My Heart are insane.
So happy you "compared" them to Dream Theater! Loved that group since they started back in the days and eventhough not same music it's the same style as an classical tune. Complex but still so beautiful to listen to. Also so proud of these Swedish guys! So talented. #lottalove
Awesome reaction video …. Regards Mikael from Sweden
They did a badass promo for Samsung too called Over the Horizon
my wake up tone and I didnt know it was them!!!🤯🤯🤯🤯
6:00 Jonah is an amazing jazz piano player. Most fusion guitarists sound on a different level than piano players, because guitarists can switch among modes more easily than a piano player. But Jonah is an awesome shredder
Loved your reaction to DL ! Would love hear more from you on these guys !
The trio from heaven 👏👏👏 make's me smile every time!!
And you present them very well 🤘
Have you seen Hit Me by Dirty Loops? That's another solid jam by these guys.
Undertows and wolves 😂😂😂 true tho. I remember Andrew Wells, singer of Eidola and touring member of DGD, said this is one of his favorite groups. Which reminds me, when Eidola finally drops new music, you gotta check it out! Btw it’s “prowess” lol
First time I watched this music video I was like. Music is still alive and sort of evolving even if this gets thru to main stream pop
you gotta check out tigran hamasyan, especially 21 levitation and vortex (with tosin abasi from animals as leaders :D)
Yes great Band
That was amazing. Loved the bass the drums... well, all of it actually. Thanks!
That head glare!
i know right! haha
Next To You from the same EP as this one is insane
Yes!! You’re the first reactor I’ve seen who’s listened to the credits sequence! You should definitely always do that bc you’ll notice if you listen to the tracks on spotify or whatever that it’s usually the outro of the track itself. I love it cause it gives you the cool down you need after the intense frenzy of the main part of the song lol
They’re absolutely on another level of talent. My other favorite track of theirs is Next To You.
The credits are also hilarious. These guys are a bit nuts and the credits give them a chance to really play with that aspect.
@@robote7679 Totally 👌
I really enjoyed your reaction, thanks!
Ghost Note, Fearless Flyers with the Delta Force Horns, Nate Smith and Kinfolk. "Modern" music is KILLIN' IT, and this is from a Boomer who grew up on Zep and King Crimson!
facts!!!
Thanks for the Fearless Flyers & Delta Force suggestion!! I didn't know about this Cory Wong band. Holy Shit!!!!! Nate Smith-- Mind Blown!!! With that very bare bones drum kit!
Please! I totally dig the vibe of your review. I play some fusion but I'm basically a rock guy. These guys blew my mind when I first heard them! They are literally too good. Please do a reaction video to the song" rock you"! I promise that you will totally dig it based on your comments from work s*** out! I would love to hear what you have to say about that song
One of my favourite reactions 😀🔥🤘
We all came. All of us. Together
Great reaction man, glad you appreciate it!
They have a instrumental EP coffeybreak for lovers... and a own song to their own merch commercial
Thanks man for letting me know! I know you're a big deathcore guy from your comments so cool to see you're a fan of Dirty Loops too!
@@METALBIRB
Love great musicians 🤗
If u wantsome great musicians in your metal taste...
Imminence - paralyzed
Immortal - Infectious
These guys hit like 2000s era Flecktones, but even more hyped. Awesome stuff, could listen to it all day.
The only thing more fun than watching/listenting to Dirty Loops is watching/listening to people's reactions to seeing them for the first time.
Dirty Loops is what would happen if Toto, Michael Jackson, Rush, Dream Theatre and Reign of Kindo all got together and had a baby.
Dirty Loops are the bomb xD Love them.
This makes me appreciate BTBAM even more than I already do... Thanks for sharing this! On another note, you should check out the band Native Construct. "Mute" "The Spark of The Archon" and "Come Hell or High Water" are all great tracks!
Single bass drum! There must be some metal bands where the drummer doesn't use a double-bass but that guy has the same speed with a single.
Hi! You must listening to Dirty Loops & Cory Wong cover of Thriller. Came out yeasterday. I love to hear your opinion on that. Håkan Svensson in Sweden.
Yeah. They're painful. Check out "Rock you". After that, if you want to quit playing, check out "Coffee Break is Over". It used to be rock music with classical chops, now it's dance music with jazz chops. I love it!
☺️
Wow Amazing u to This... Amazing band 🤘🕺🏻 other great track from them
Next to You
World on fire
Breakdown
Rock You
All great songs. You really can't go wrong with the Loops!
Y'know that Samsung tune everyones heard cause its on all their phones, 'over the horizon'? Yeah, these boys made that.
Jonah, Henrik, and Aaron are masters of their instruments and can play anything, in any style. Recommend you check out two early jazz/rock/world fusion bands: Mahavishnu Orchestra and Oregon…
4:27 This drummer is seriously amazing yes!
I think you will enjoy Jean Luc Ponty on his rock/jazz vision electric violin performing Cosmic Messenger.
Has anyone done a reaction to the crazy credits? Seriously, these guys must have had meetings with Jerry Zucker and Jim Abrams...
You ought to check out some more mathy bands like Chon. It's like... Djazz.
Without a doubt Snarky Puppy!!
If you like this… you should check out SNARKY PUPPY “Lingus” or
JACOB COLLIER “All Night Long”;
Better still,
SNARKY PUPPY & JACOB COLLIER “Don’t You Know”
Dirty Loops are awesome!
Bruuh I've heard heard anybody mention Reign of Kindo before xD Love that band
I only know who these guys are because they played a UK festival which had humanitys last breath on the same bill. Wild.
Puts on sunglasses because of the supernova-like glare coming off this guy's forehead 😎
Rocking band!
Damn Im super early today. Should check out some The Best of the Worst, just put out an album. Cool ska-core type stuff.
Out of this world
It's like Stevie Wonder, Michael Jackson and Rush had a child
I've always said Jazz is the metal of an older era. Flappers and Cats were the "problem youth" of their era. XD
Please do some From Sorrow to Serenity. Theyve released 2 singles now off their upcoming 3 track ep and theyre crazy good.
You should check out a band called "super massive black holes" their a jazz infused death metal band! Have a very unique and interesting sound! Their song " dyatlov pass incident" is the best song that really shows the fusion!
T.R.A.M. , little side hustle of Tosin Abasi ( Animals as Leaders )
Devil Sold His Soul- The Narcissist
Beyond reach is a better song choice imo but do either plz
check out lingus - snarky puppy that drummer and keyboardist... yummy (all of them are but just to keep it simpler to react to)
lmao that intro
Wow cool bro thanks for react, also you so shiny
Hi there!
Please can’t you do a reaction on the Swedish band Dirty Loops cover on Michael Jacksons Thriller? I would love to hear what you think about them. Håkan in Sweden.
Dirty Loops- The Pride Of Sweden!!
I liked the part where counting to 4 was an issue.
Respect the skills and music but was not was I was looking for when this came on my playlist lol
You gotta check out their song Next To You. It’s even better than this one
when the next reaction to dirty loops?
You should also try Snarky Puppy
Dane Alderson - Yellowjackets - even Henrik has some things to learn ... but he is ok anyway ...
Check out “Snarky Puppy,”. They are jazz fusion, mostly instrumental. “Lingus” is a good introduction. Enjoy.
i don't think the vocalist is given the due credit for his amazing vocal abilities and range. Flawless. Probably because the musicianship of all three of them is off the charts that it gets overlooked...maybe?
jazzcore
Cory Wong: great jazz horns funk guitar
Hey man, I listen to nothing but metal and I'm not a crazy person. I'M NOT A CRAZY PERSON!!!!!! SHUT UP!! STOP CALLING ME CRAZY!!!
But what a wiild drummer
My God you look like a metal head today alright 🔮
See, just because you are a metal head, it doesn't mean you can't learn to love other types of music. Check out some of their other work. I think you will be amazed.
CLOWN CORE if you like, Metal /Dirty Loops/Snarky Puppy/Knower
really ... dirty loops are metal in everything but choice of input voltage to the pre amp
Beautiful and creepy!!!!
I have THE band for you
"Delvon Llamar Organ Trio"
Dude is so shiny I thought he was going to slide out of camera view
What's the opposite of ashy? Moist?
