Daaaaaaang , sounds like one heck of a bottle! Love my bottle of CS Stranahan’s , looks like I need to add this one to the Cabinet! Right with you Drew, if you love Scotch, then ASM is the next journey! Cheers Dummies!
Okay I need to grab this. I've looked at it a few times at Meijer but have never pulled the trigger. I've had a few single barrels from them that I've enjoyed.
It is a terrific bottle and glad it is $80 by me. To each their own but I never limit my enjoyment of whiskey. I love bourbon, Irish , scotch , whiskey in general.
What I don't understand is why American single malts keep using new oak. Tannins are to strong in many of them and the subtle notes that we find in good scotch are tunned way to high for the young American offerings. Don't get me wrong, I am a fun of Stranahan's and their products, I just wonder how would they be if they just use refill barrels and let the spirit do its thing for a longer period of time
First off adding water to this is sacrilege, secondly this is amazing whisky and it's und3r $90 in Canada and I would gladly pay $90 American for it, having said that let's hope it doesn't reach that price
Might I also add Courage and Conviction Cuvée cask for a similar profile

I had this awhile back. At first it was not good. I let it sit for a few weeks and went back to it. Much better. I’ll be getting another.
Stranahan’s can be solid! Good review guys.
I’m not a big fan of Stranahan’s but this review has me definitely wanting to try this, thanks guy!
Great review, guys! This is the first American single malt I've found that I would consider a real 'sherry bomb.'
Would love you guys to try Red Bank Canadian whiskey.

New batch of High West " Mid Summers Dram dropped this week!
The Stranahan's website says this is 45% abv. Is this a different version of the sherry cask?

Two 4.0 scores is shocking
