Still relatively new to whisky, finally opened up a bottle of the famous Lagavulin 16 this year and it does not disappoint! Other favorites of the year include Old Pultney 12, Talisker Storm, and Aarran 10.
Got to try Bunnahabhain 12 and loved every sip of it. Saw and bought the Cask Strength 2022 and it was a no brainer for me. Shared it with my friends :) Happy Holidays!
Nice review, guys! Love Orchard House. Actually doing a Compass tasting in a few days. (I posted on the CB taste through but no response : ( We'll be tasting Artist, Glasgow, Orchard, Peat Monster, Spice Tree, Spaniard and Hedonism. I want to include one special rel that is maybe not too duplicative of these. Don't know if you've tried them but what do you think btwn Canvas, Experimental, Menagerie, Circles and Juveniles? thank you!
Great video guys! Would love to try all of them drams. My whisky of the year has to be Ledaig 18. A beautiful whisky. All the best from me in the UK 🇬🇧. Merry Christmas 🎅
Merry Christmas Dummies!!! A kick butt review! Love the range of bottles and the stories were the best! Love the Orchard House and need the Inchmurrin and that Deanston on the cabinet. And you lucky son of a gun Mark 😂! Cheers Boys!🥃
Great variety of picks! Enjoyed watching you guys throughout the year - best of luck for 2024! My personal fav bottles for the year were a couple cask strength Ardnamurchans…good cask influence, great distillate, and good bang for the buck.
excellent video and great selection, luckily I was able to try some expressions from all those producers. I was surprised by Shawn's choice, I still have a unopened bottle of the Inchmurrin the one that triggered my interest in Madeira finishes, of which I am a big fan today. Merry Christmas to all and Cheers!🥃🎉🎄
For me top pick this year was the 2023 Roseisle Special Release from Diageo. Lagavulin with no age statement from that same Special Release was really good as well for being finished in Tequila Cask. Ardbeg Amorphic was alright, just didn't have that drastic change I was looking for. Now the Anthology was another matter that delivered. So those 3 were top picks for me unless you included Octomore 14.3 which just hit struck all the right chords in me. Of course there is Ardbeg 25 I managed to grab earlier this year. Just waiting for a special time to open it. Really hope it delivers
Good choices all round, would be happy to have those bottles in my collection! Hey you never know, Santa's coming soon & I've been a good boy this year 😁
Deanston have great whiskies, Compass Box CAN be great, Inchmurrin screwed me once with an 18 years old, NEVER Inchmurrin again (although I have fantastic Loch Lomonds and am a lover of Glen Scotia, which is owned by Loch Lomond), and when it comes to Laphroaig I prefer to stick to the 10 years old which has a way better price/quality! By the way, I think the prices of Scotch whisky in the USA is lots of times ridiculous, I give you an example, I have a few Springbanks of 12 and 13 years of age in my collection that I bought just a few years ago for around 60 euro's, they are still for sale in the USA for around.............1500 dollars, think about THAT!! Thumbs up from The Netherlands!
Great review👍👍👍. I m not a big fan of Deanston. Tried 12 yrs 18 yrs virgin oak, it has a new oak taste that I hate so much. Mine favorite year has to be bihiki harmony light and complex 👍
I like 1 Bunnahabhain 18 Year Old, 2 Kilchoman Sanaig 3 Glenfarclas 15 Year Old 4 THE HEARACH SINGLE MALT

With bottles like that I'd say you're off to a GREAT start!

Deanston 18 was a close second.
Snagged a few of those 15s on auction this year! Good stuff.

I really enjoyed Laphroaig's Cairdeas White Port and Madeira Cask this year.

They're making good stuff for sure!
Laphroaig 25 is the best whiskey I have ever tasted.
Compass box 👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻🥃🥃🥃
Great episode! Great picks too! My favorite this year is Bunnahabhain 12 cask strength 2023 edition so far. Happy holidays!
Tamdhu Cigar Malt batch 3 was my whisky of the year.
The Glenlivet 21, Glendronach 12 and Johnnie Walker Gold

Good choices all round, would be happy to have those bottles in my collection! Hey you never know, Santa's coming soon & I've been a good boy this year 😁
DAMN!! A Laphroaig 25 for 299 - you have been a good boy this year....
Aultmore 12 foggie moss
*brings out a Laphroig 25
loved mortlach 12 and bladnochs I had
Speyburn 15, or even the nonage statement one for youthful intensity
Wow Laphroaig 25, so jelly Mark! My everyday drinker is Monkey Shoulder.
Nothing wrong with Monkey Shoulder! Only reason I got that Laphroaig was because Costco had it knocked out down to $299!

Mark wins this one ^^
Gotta go lagavulin 16.
Picked up Laphroaig 30yo for $200 about 15 years ago, went back and got 3 more! Out of my range these days but what a ride.
Are they all 2023 bottling?
Is there a king in the comments that’s going to list the whiskeys mentioned in the video that the creator will pin 😅
As a white masculine male, this is embarrassing. Yes, I know whisky.
What?! 🤔
L@sers. most of the bottles that you gave them more than 4- that i tried were awful. and some of the best one i tried you gave them 1.5
lol clown
I haven't had a bad bottle of anything
all good in their own way
sour mouth = sour whiskey
You do realise that taste is subjective right?
H@ser. They said “Our” top scotches
