It is so funny you guys did this one. I was in Boston with family earlier this month, so we went to a local neighbourhood liquor store to find something to drink for the next few days. I was the only "experienced" whisky drinker, so we picked something cheap and approachable, but should have at least some quality to it. We ended up getting Dewar's 12. I don't recall ever having it. And I felt the same way y'all did---it held up really well and we finished the bottle. I'll drink this any day.
Love the intro!! Shaun, had me going 😂! Will neither confirm or deny I drink Dewars more often now, due to not wanting my stock of single malts to get to low 😄. 4 years ago, Costco had the 1.75L on clearance for $35, should have bought a few😂! Cheers boys!🥃
I agree with pretty much everything you said but would add that if the flavor profile of the 12 year feels good to you, then you will really like the 15 year expression. Cheers guys.
Under $25(US), this one is the one to beat for me. Normally, I call this pleasantly innocuous. But when I’ve been away from alcohol for awhile, this can have a pretty reasonable flavor impact.
Yea dewars 12! great for a nightcap, or sip while listening to music. To really concentrate on and discuss all night, might want to move up the ladder a bit ..
$57 HERE IN Onterrible Canada so forget it , but for you lucky in the good ole US of A then go for it at $25 to 35. I've had a couple good Johnnie Walkers before like duty free Green and Island Green, not bad.
thanks for the review on something cheaper. often times i waste money trying to save a buck, because the grain spirit is so overpowering i just dump it down the drain.
Love the show. I am looking to purchase a nice celebratory Scotch. Right now I am considering the Signatory Laphroaig 24, Glenmorangie Grand Vintage 1998, Glendronach 30 year Pedro Ximenez. I am open to others and would love to hear any recommendations you have! Cheers.
In my view it's better than the 15 & 18. ( My pockets aren't deep enough for the 25). A very easy drinker. Even the White Label is drinkable & preferred to anything else at the same price. Dont forget Dewars own some kick-ass distilleries, Craigellachie & Aultmore included being terrific single malts in their own right, & even Royal Brackla is competant. ( Also, I'm sure you'll kick yourself, Naked Grouse & Monkey Shoulder being Blended malts, not single malts, but we know what you mean :) )
You guys are tasting it from a Glencairn whereas if you’re tasting it on an airplane AT BEST you’ll be tasting it from a plastic cup. So, the next time I’m flying I’ll be carrying a Glencairn with me and give it another try.

I have been drinking dewars 12 for the last 5 years. Enjoyed every drink, and still am. It is a nice smooth drink.

This one is on my short list of "must tries." Another great video 🥃
For a big brand blend, it's one of my favourites. Certainly worth what we pay for it. Thanks for sharing!
Fabulous video guys! Thanks so much! Cheers! 🙂
that might make a nice scotch old fashion with the orange notes

Oh it’s been years since I’ve tried it. Might need to try again. I never think of it. Good review.

Santa brought me a bottle of this for Christmas last year so really enjoyed your opinion on this one guys - my take's much the same as yours 👍🥃
Hmm I didn't care for the 15, I guess I need to try the 12. 25 bucks here in Illinois.

Mission Liquor in Pasadena lists it for $20 (750 ml). I think I will try a bottle.

Well.... the simple answer is it depends.... I think that Sig is a great choice b/c it combines both peat and sherry! ;-) ~Mark

Sometimes the snob comes out - - “real 3 well it’s a blend and less than $30, so it’s a 2.5” - - no no - - it is good!!!
Fellas…I want to donate a bottle for review… let me know who I can email to get this started. 😎🥃
Also…Dewars 12 kinda surprised me 😂
Hey Philly... Email us at scotch4dummies@gmail.com we'll figure this out! ~Mark
Dewar’s 12 is great, for price a great dipper. 12y is Much better than White Label and actually like it better than their 15y. My preference!
Whatever happened to the fourth guy with the glasses? 🤷🏼👀
Do a blind with the new dewars 12 and monkey shoulder

I really hope you guys got paid for this. To call this full flavored is an insult to flavor. Is it bad, no, but this review smh
