I could watch French provincial dresser makeovers all day long! There is so much that can be done with them and anything looks better than the dated Henry Link finish from the 60’s and 70’s. They are such a great, high quality blank canvas.
That is a gorgeous color. French provincial looks really good in these Macaron colors. Thanks for not doing a stenciled, decoupaged, fantasy finish. This lily didn’t need much gilding.
French Provincial is so pretty. I finished a farmhouse style side table and I’m working on what I guess you’d call a traditional set of end tables. It amazes me that you use as little paint as you do. I think I used 12 oz of a 16 oz jar of Dixie Belle Silk on the side table and I HOPE 16 oz is enough paint for the 2 end tables. I hope to become faster and more efficient as I gain experience. Thanks for sharing with us. 💕
Regards from Egypt. I am glad you resigned to work full time on furniture flipping. You're a role model and I'm trying to increase my income by flipping furniture after you inspired me ❤❤
I love knowing that the White Lightning deglosses the surface. I love that this paint is all in one. Def want to try that on a future piece. That color is beautiful!! Stunning!!
I had this same bedroom set back in the 60's. Can't remember what happened to it, but after seeing your transformation, I wish I still had it! So beautiful- you did a great job!! Congrats on your new workshop & farmhouse. Both look like a great opportunity for you & Neiman to make your mark. Looking forward to see what you do with it. 👍👍👍
That dresser brings back memories. My mom purchased bedroom furniture for me and my older sister from Sears in 1975. We had this same exact dresser! We also had 2 headboards, a tall 6 drawer dresser and a desk. I actually used the dresser for a while after I was married.
Beautiful piece. You have gotten way more careful about where paint lands. Your lines (on the inside of the draywers and the inside of the dresser) are way sharper than they were in the beginning. Good job. So pleased to be a part of your journey.
I still have a chest of drawers . I'm 62, I've had it since I was child and I think it was a hand me down then. I was going to give it away now I think I'll paint it too.
Lauren, this dresser is just gorgeous. The color is so pretty. The drawer pulls look amazing too. I'm so proud of you and your work. You've found a great income stream and you are sharing with us, how to start doing this too. I love your videos and I am learning valuable techniques from you. Thank you for all you do. ❤
I LOVE the Silk all-in-one! It saves time and money! I love how it turned out! You did a perfection. Yes, laying the pieces on their backs really helps to inspect the pieces easily. So very proud of you both! Thank you for sharing!
Absolutely beautiful! I actually have a French provincial dresser that I will be flipping for my own use. It is one that was in my childhood bedroom and will now be in my guest bedroom. I'm so excited to try Dixie Belle and I'm thankful that you showed in this video how beautiful a paint finish it is.
French provincial looks so classy and feminine. Love this style. This is stunning Lauren. So happy for you guys, your workshop and house, the house is the perfect place to stage your farmhouse style furniture. Love the colour, the room will look lovely with both dressers in it.
Hi Lauren, my grandmother had a set just like that and I got ahold of it for my daughter's guest bedroom..I used chalk paint on the bottom part and did a grey and dark stain for the top ..It turned out so good ..
I've always been into modern styles, but I have to admit that French Prov. is really growing on me. I may have to find a way to incorporate a piece into the mix somehow. I love that sky blue color.
So satisfying to watch you paint the drawers 🙂. I do the same thing with the hardware! It works so well and bumps it to the next level. It's not to bad to wash off hands
I love how the gold waxed hardware highlights the blue paint. It really is a beautiful piece now. I'm still excited for you two after your big announcement. best wishes from Connecticut. 🦀🕶️🦀🕶️🦀
This dresser is gorgeous! I had this same provincial set in my bedroom as a teen. I’m going to look to buy a similar dresser when I’m out and about! Thanks!
I have just finished a French provincial dresser and will be putting it on market place this weekend. Done base in Dixie Belle “serenity” silk paint. My first time spraying on paint and first time using silk. I did the top with general finished gel stain in antique walnut. Love how it turned out.
Yes, I love French style. In fact, I painted all my French style, and authentic antique French furniture in my home. China cabinets, buffets, table, chairs, tables, and yes, two complete French Provincial bedroom sets just like you are about to paint. Color, all white. Accent colors in home, Antique blue and white dishes, in cabinets, on walls, on tables and fireplace, along with crystal lighting, vaces etc. And my treasured authentic antique French Provential oil paintings of flowers and French ladies. I have to break down and be bold like you, go out of my comfort zone and paint a piece of color,(maybe start with blue, ha ha!) Your colored pieces come out beautiful. Congrats on your new shop and home.🤗
Me too... I only do whites, and black/grey tops (farmhouse look).. but I see others doing all these blues and greens and even pink! Im just a lil worried they won't sell as good. But my next peices which is this exact dresser with the matching mirror and a vanity with the stool all dixie french provincial. Im going to do a darker blue base and drawers and then stain the top a medium wood color and maybe distress... not sure though 🤔
My daughter has my French proventoal bedroom set that I had from age 5. Two dressers, hutch, 2 twin beds, nightstand, lingerie chest and mirror. I love what you have done. I'm sending her the video link. She wants to refinish the pieces.
I wish I’d kept my mom’s three-piece set which included the six drawer dresser two nightstands. I absolutely love the blue that you used on the other one
I have the long dresser, desk and bookshelf that goes with this set in my daughters room. It was mine growing up and my moms when she was a kid. I’ve been looking to redo it since it’s currently hot pink and blue but I don’t even know where to start!
This gold and blue combo always makes me think of Cinderella
Definitely not getting tired of French Provincial!

I turned my French provincial into a bathroom vanity in my last house and it was BEAUTIFUL. I MISS IT SOOOO MUCH
Neiman outdid himself on this one. I love how professional you guys are. Other UA-camrs don't stand a chance comparing to your videos.
I love French Provincial furniture. Always have, always will. Such classy style.

I think you`re going to make a new love for French Provential furniture! Especially in the new colors!
I had this bedroom set when I was a little girl with a desk, dresser, nightstand and bed in the 60’s. What I would do to get my hands on it again! 🥰

My sister got the Sears set, including a canopy bed! I got the Early American (maple) style, most of which I still own. 😊
Beautiful piece. You have gotten way more careful about where paint lands. Your lines (on the inside of the draywers and the inside of the dresser) are way sharper than they were in the beginning. Good job. So pleased to be a part of your journey.
Could never get sick of French Provincial. Just stunning

French provincial is my favorite type of furniture 😊
I think I had that dresser growing up. Love the way it turned out ❤️
Putting the cleaner in a spray bottle is such a good tip! I use TSP IN A BUCKET, SO THIS WILL WORK FOR ME...
So satisfying to watch you paint the drawers 🙂. I do the same thing with the hardware! It works so well and bumps it to the next level. It's not to bad to wash off hands

Stunning ❤ absolutely love this and the colour is amazing, thank you for inspiring me..
Is it Thomasville? It looks just like the bedroom set I had back in the 70s.
That is beautiful and looks so luxurious. Thank you for sharing.
This project did turn out well. Just from an overall aesthetic point of view, which do you prefer, this silk paint, chalk paint, or mineral paint?
So incredibly beautiful and drawers....yes...so frustrating!
My daughter has my French proventoal bedroom set that I had from age 5. Two dressers, hutch, 2 twin beds, nightstand, lingerie chest and mirror. I love what you have done. I'm sending her the video link. She wants to refinish the pieces.
