It would have been grand in its day, and you made it majestic again. Beautiful blue that suits anything French style. So carefully restored and glamorous. They were lucky to find you! Subbed.
I wanted to hate this too, but that color!! OMG! I am of the mindset, just because it can be painted, doesn't mean it has to be painted! But that color...!😅😊
Factory made, run-of-the mill, not so trendy anymore piece. NOT a mistake to paint. Only time I get upset is seeing a vintage mahogany (with minor damge) painted. I can see painting very damaged old pieces. This was great.
I thought i was going to dislike this, but I discovered that the uniformity of the paint really brings out the curved detail of the piece. Before you painted, the piece looked like there were too many elements fighting one another, like the variations of wood tone fighting the curved drawers and the handles were almost lost. Nice job and thanks for broadening my horizons 🎉
Like others have said, the busy wood grain distracted from the fluidity of the design. It can really be appreciated after this gorgeous paint job. Wonderful job.
I gotta say…I thought you would get hammered in the comments for painting those..but I’m so glad you didn’t! I think the pieces turned out spectacular! Another happy client!
It's beautiful. Thank you for sharing how you do it and what you use without a lot of extra video and or talk. Right to the point with all the info needed! Superb!
That’s the bedroom set that I have right now with the same dull stain finish that was passed down to me by my parents. I never liked it but never wanted to sell it either. Well now I know thanks to you what colour I am going to paint it. I still have to practice a bit more. But that bedroom set is not leaving my sight. Merci beaucoup Samuel! By the way it’s stunning!
Your clips are always interesting to watch. You are extremely knowledgeable and when you explain why you do things, it is so logical, and makes sense. The dresser result is lovely!
Wow, this looks absolutely amazing!! I love French Provincial furniture, it’s the curves that catch my eye every time I see a piece. It’s funny but you’d think that I’d own a French Provincial dresser but I don’t!!😂 What a great colour combo to get that shade of blue, love it!! Well done!!👏🏻👏🏻😍
I adore French provincial furniture and you’ve just elevated this piece to a whole nother level. I loved the green set you did BUT honestly this blue colour has just blown the green out of the water. I still love the green, but this blue…wow, just wow. What a beautiful unique shade of blue. I NEED these pieces in my life 😂 Great job again 😁
Thank you for the pigtail tip. The more you know...I have a dresser top that I used 80 grit on orbital sander and I thought I was being very meticulous to do it correctly. Then I stained it and found the pigtails. I'm still trying to steam iron them.
Nice work. I do not usually subscribe to channels but I have to yours, long time ago. I love how you work and explain, and change ugly furniture to beautiful. I love your channel and wait for new videos. Thank you for sharing :)
The closest dresser I have found to my own that I about to paint, I have stripped the top and like the white wash you used. The blue is beautiful but not my bedroom colour. I have found a bit of courage from watching this video to start the painting, seeing how lovely it can look. I wondered if you would clean the handles, mine are almost the same ones but the hardware was perfect with the blue. I also have the matching wardrobe to paint so it will have to be an easy makeover for me. What were the chances of finding almost identical dresser, thank you.
@@CedarPineDesigns Honestly, I have just finished painting dresser and wardrobe, I am so pleased now sitting with a coffee. I painted the top a light grey/beige the rest is charcoal. So you truly did encourage me. Thank you.

Nice job! I love the mixed color of paint you came up with. Can you tell me where you bought the paint you used? I'm a big fan of the INSL-X primer/sealer (ordered it from Amazon). I can't seem to find their tintable cabinet paint. Thanks! :)
I just love watching and rewatching your videos. Did you clean or spray the handles? They look different from beginning to end. I like that you gave the reason for doing the top first, but I see others paint and seal first, so I'm not sure which way to go because I do want to paint the bottom and stain the top.
Thank you so much for tuning in. I just have the handles a hood cleaning as I liked the patina they had. I always like fining the top first if I’m doing a paint and natural top. It’s a pain when you get stain or white wash on the finished paint and it doesn’t come off all the way.
@@CedarPineDesigns thanks. I noted that you did explain why you do the top first, but I thought I heard that sometimes you do the opposite. So what did you clean the handles with? I've had people tell me to use Bar Keeper's Friend, to boil with vinegar and water, to boil with just vinegar.

Here, furniture of this quality tends to be very expensive and almost inaccessible, being sold only in used furniture stores (not even the big lumber companies manufacture furniture of this style and quality), hence the fear I have in wanting colorful pieces of furniture.
