- Garbage: Shirley Manson, Butch Vig, Duke Erikson, and Steve Marker, gear up for the release of their highly anticipated new album with a photo shoot in Los Angeles with famed photographer, Autumn De Wilde.
Garbage's first new album in 7 years, Not Your Kind of People, will be released in the US on May 15, 2012 on the band's own STUNVOLUME record label.

Welcome back!!! I saw you guys live for the first time in NYC in 1996 at the Roseland Ballroom. Without a doubt the most energetic, supersonic and mindblowingly awesome concert I've ever been at!! Thank you for all your music. I can't wait for the new album!

Last time I saw Garbage was when they opened for No Doubt. Speaking of No Doubt, they're also releasing a new album around the same time. It would be nice to see Garbage and No Doubt on the same tour again. Since Gwen and Shirley are best friends.

I'm definitely looking forward to this. If it feels like their first two records from them then that's a good sign. Loved their albums except Beautiful Garbage which only had a few keepers but it was too poppy for them. It's been too long and glad to be finally hearing new material from them!
I am BEYOND excited!!! We've all been waiting SO long!!! I am really happy I get to be a part of this era as a Garbage fan. I truly believe them when they say this is their best work yet. Can't wait for more news!!

@q7winq7 I hope they dont use that kind of stuff in the new album. I have seen many bands taken that kind of sound design in to their production lately, it's "the new thing in town" in pop-rock bands. I expect they explore electronic music from where they left it in V 2.0. But from the teasers I see they went for a sound more similar to their first album, which I also found quite good.

Their Twitter account is really fun too and just a f.y.i Shirley does not have a twitter acct. under her own name, there is some other person that says they are her, but not the case!!
