- The drone skill tree has been unlocked!
Join me in unboxing this bundle I bought from Costco and wait until the end to see a little bit of flight footage!
Please let me know if you have any questions!
This was shot on my Canon R8 using RODE Wireless GO II - Навчання та стиль
My beginner's drone is KF101 which reaches 7km on my range test, beginner in the sense that you can practice flying in any direction even above windy seas, and it is a 500+ grams drone. Photo and video in the daytime are fair enough for their price but a night shoot is not good. I have already bought my first high-tech drone online and it will arrive this week. This drone is a DJI Mini 3 Fly more combo plus, that comes with 3 batteries and a charger. A little bit expensive though.
Why are minis called “beginner drones”? They are really capable drones and flying them requires the same skill set as most other drones.
It is my understanding that it is considered a beginner drone because of the price point but also the weight. The significance of the 249 gram emphasis is because any drone at or over 250 grams requires a separate registration. I agree with you that the drone is very capable and requires the same skill set though!
@@LocalDallasMan You are correct. The price and features make it a very capable drone that is geared toward those who don't want a large investment. One thing to keep in mind is that the Mini 3 does not have obstacle avoidance sensors. It's easy to fly sideways into a tree or other object because you can't see it on camera.
Otherwise, the Mini 3 is amazing! You basically have to try to crash it, and the photos/videos are impressive. Have fun, and stay safe!
@@karlbecker8775 Hey Karl! thank you for your response! I just invested into some propeller guards just in case that may happen. Thank you for dropping by and contributing!
I was planning on purchasing one aswell but then heard a bill that is going to congress right now to ban DJI products
Many bills go to congress that don’t come to pass so I wouldn’t hold my breath on that.
@@LocalDallasMan I hope that’s the case
This is on sale for $299.99 through 7/21... think I need to get this (especially before it's possibly banned LOL).
How has it been the few months you've had it? Thanks!
Potentially yes, but I think it’s just a scare tbh. Honestly it was the perfect purchase to really let me get some amazing footage and see if this was something I would invest more time and energy into. Being in Colorado there’s no shortage of views and this small form factor and accessibility makes it almost always something I carry in my bag now. I wish it had more collision sensing like the downward sensor but at this price point it’s obvious that only the required was included. Overall, great purchase. Everyone I show it to considers purchasing one 👍
i bought the same price its the best deal for a dji drone
@@Sapfoce Just curious, when did you buy it?
@@Sapfoce Yes where did u buy it?
@@LocalDallasMan I just purchase mine and is on sale for 299. Till July 21st. You might want to back to Costco for price difference.
Weird question but does it come with a battery?
Not a weird question! The combo does have a battery but just one, no extra battery. If I had to repurchase I’d probably buy the pro or fly more package to get the extra battery and/or controller with integrated screen. Hope that helps!
@@LocalDallasMandoes it use the same battery as the mini 2?
@@theoutdoors911 I’m seeing on forums that they are different
@@LocalDallasMan oh ok
Where are u training at?
Martial arts wise?
Yes
