    Thanks for uploading this... I know it's tough to film and do tedious stuff simultaneously. I appreciate you showing us part numbers, oil capacity and fastener sizes. Peace from NorCal.

    That's a great video. Short simple and to the point. Credit to ford too. Easy maintenance that I can even understand and it didn't take 2hrs of explaination😂

      Thank you, yeah I try to keep it simple and not tell my life story or have a long annoying intro.

      You can show us your dogs if you want. That still won't show things down too much.

    Reminder for people that have 11-16 6.7 trucks, the fuel filter in the engine bay has only two lines and the filter under the truck by the tank is circular cartridge filter.

    Pulled on the plastic piece that holds the filter after unscrewing the 5 bolts. It came down, but not the filter?

      Sorry for the late reply we’re you able to get the filter out?

      @@BLUECOLLARGARAGE yes, my brother helped me, he just lightly pulled on it and it came out. Idk what was holding it up when I was pulling as hard as I could.

    Wouldn’t you put oil in the filter itself to help prime it?

      You can a lot of people say it does nothing but I’ve done it before.

    How do you prime a fuel filter if the truck has a push button start?

    • @BLUECOLLARGARAGE
      @BLUECOLLARGARAGE  2 роки тому

      You should be able to just push the button on without your foot on the brake so the truck doesn't start then after about 10 seconds press button off. Do this multiple times at minimum five times and that should run the fuel pump thus priming the fuel filter. Then start it normal. Just like turning a key but without starting it.

    I just purchased a 2020 F250 powerstroke with 30k miles and still had the factory fuel filters in place. Should I be concerned ?

    • @BLUECOLLARGARAGE
      @BLUECOLLARGARAGE  Рік тому

      No I think you’ll be alright just get it changed out asap and then maybe do the next one at 10k and then every 15k miles after that.

    I’d for sure fill up the oil filter with some oil first

    • @barrytimm5497
      @barrytimm5497 3 роки тому +3

      Oil runs into this vertically mounted filter automatically when filling up with oil, so unnecessary. I do add some oil to horizontally mounted filters.

    • @jspivak86
      @jspivak86 Рік тому

      @@barrytimm5497 really? I didn’t know this! I figured when you crank it, it fills instantly and there is a film of the old oil left on the moving parts so I never thought prefilling was a must

    Where do you dispose of the fuel from the filter?

    • @BLUECOLLARGARAGE
      @BLUECOLLARGARAGE  2 роки тому

      I usually set it outside and let it evaporate or you can just mix it in with used oil and dispose of it.
