dont know if anyone gives a damn but if you guys are stoned like me during the covid times you can watch all of the new series on InstaFlixxer. I've been watching with my brother these days =)
I decided four little phrases like you had worked well for me, to fully encompass but not over-elaborate on my style, and I came up with -Elegant but playful -Round & wavy -Soft, but well-defined shapes -Warm, friendly colors & lines
You’re my style sister! So glad I found you! I follow so many stylists and so far you’re one of the closest to what I’m trying to achieve. My biggest struggle is finding light jackets and sweaters that don’t look either too casual or too “structured” for what I’m going for. It’s so frustrating
My results came out to be: Sophisticated, clean lines, feminine, dark/fall/neutral tones with gold accents (jewellery, hardware)...this is amazing. Thank you so much!!
I can appreciate color but I get overwhelmed and tired of it quickly so it’s not a sustainable, happy choice for me personally. Neutrals make it so easy too!
I'm late to this video - thank you for all the help. My style would be classic casual, with clean lines, but a little soft, a little gauzy, with mostly solid patterned neutral colors, with small pops of color here and there (scarf/pin).
I enjoyed this. The main words I came up with are natural, classy, simple, elegant and earthy. Kind of like an earth goddess crossed with 1950's fit n flare style haha. I love all natural fibres like linen and hemp and I also love fitted clothing but not overly tight as I have an hourglass shape. I gravitate towards greens, turquoise, cream and black.
I haven't done the exercise but have been thinking about this a lot recently. My style is old fashioned/retro, feminine/romantic. So far that's as far as I've made it. Youve given me some good things to consider, thank you.
I summed mine up : Jennifer Anniston. Bc she’s only a little older than me, shorter torso and long legs. I’m brunette and she’s blonde but I love everything she wears. Casual fancy dresses jeans T-shirt’s etc. My goal after tossing my ratty clothes is to start with ONEbasic JA like casual outfit (maybe I already have it so Buried somewhere underneath my horrific leggings lol). For me the easiest thing was to just envision who I like that’s famous or semi famous with a similar body shape and the style that I like and it came up to Jennifer Aniston!!! Your method was really interesting and I did do it so thank you for that it was an interesting approach
Wow I love drawing from interior design preferences! That was really helpful and eye opening for me. I also like the anti-inspo and how that can point you in the right direction
I just decided to fill it out here. I might send to my stylist to create a capsule wardrobe. Colors I like to wear: pastels like blue, aqua, and black and cream, white, candy red Patterns: gingham, floral, stripes, tan (jacket only if it looks good) What works for me: horseshoe pants, Ducktales grey-green-red flannel, red flannel, black Mary Janes, converse, black jeans, dark blue jeans, long chandelier earrings, big ring, studded earrings, red satin high school jacket Colors I don't like to wear: brown (too neutral) Patterns and textures I don't like: leather, fur What do I like about the looks on Pinterest: fun, optimistic, relaxed, easygoing, spring, new, refreshing, fierce, individualistic, relatable, stand-out like a puppet Why I don't like some styles: hating on animals by wearing them, boring, not creative, giving up, being like everyone else Fun but a little goth, spring, new, sunshine on the streets, elegant circus Christmas all year long.
Great job! Thank you for your video. Sometimes I choose clasic style adding some color to work. I like casual clothing, I LOVE jeans. I like boho Style as well on dresses, Creative sometimes. I like changing Styles according on my mood.
I would describe my style as frumpy-chic. Every UA-cam video I’ve ever watched about how to avoid looking frumpy, I always think the “frumpy” examples are cute. At the same time, I find myself thinking, “but it could be even better if they threw on a belt, heels, and a blazer over it”...
This I a super good video!!! Ilove animal print and bright colors. I like the New Money look. I like to take the old money looks at put a new money spin on it. I love bright colors. I am curvy so I don't hide those, but no trashniess and no skin.
@@JulesBeth Why THANK you!!! I have these white animal print ankle boots that everybody compliments me on. I wore them with these bla k faux leather high waisted pants and a brown/cream/black/white animal print top from Boston Proper!! My accessories were rusted copper statement chain necklace with this intertwined hoop design that hit right about the squared neckline. And of course matching earrings.
Can you talk sometime about juggling more than one style? Because I've got this weird dichotomy of like, either effortless chic neutrals with an edge or slightly styled hobo (not boho, hobo), and that 100% feels like two conflicting closets.
I have always been drawn to fall colors as I think those look the best on me. I try to buy things that are classic that don't go out of style but for my dresses I tend to go towards feminine, I also like to add a bit of edgy into some of my looks. I have a list of things I do need to buy and colors I need to incorporate more of in the neutrals department and solid colors as I have way too many prints.
I'm modern elegant too. This was the second video I saw of you and I enjoyed it and you guided it so well jules ❤❤❤ teach more elegant styles and brands 😘😘👏
Hey girl! 😍 Hope you have been well and everything is ok! I still have yet so watch this video (I will tonight after work!), but this video came at the PERFECT time as I am still curating my wardrobe and am about 1/2 through my list of "wanted" items. I am also working on streamlining so that I stop feeling the need to buy more more more. Not as strict as a uniform and not a capsule wadrobe, but somewhere in the middle. Anyway, thank you for the fashion-distraction! It's always a pick-me-up in my week!
Hey boo! Yes! That’s another benefit of knowing your style. Shopping decisions are easier and you’ll be less likely to buy stuff you won’t wear. Can’t wait to hear your answer after you watch! 💕
@@JulesBeth OK! 💝 So I watched the video and did the exercise, and this is what I came up with: I take a lot of inspiration for my wardrobe from streetwear that I see in other countries I have visited. I never noticed before! I think it all started when I went to London, the local fashion there really surprised me! Anyway, I would describe my style as : Mostly neutrals (with occasional pops of color...those pops of color usually being red, pink, dark blue/green). Clean but not stiff, I really like clean lines but I don't like feeling boring or constricted. I would also say dressy casual... I like being dressed up a LOT, but I don't like being so overdressed that I feel silly. So sometimes I will pair a white tshirt, an oversize camel blazer with mom means and chunky white sneakers! Can't forget to add a cute structured bag and some jewelry! ✨💅👠 I also wrote London streetwear as a term on my list to describe my style. I would say my style is closest to Lydia Tomlinson. If you have a minute, you can search her outfits on UA-cam or Google images. I loved the video! Super helpful as I am now 27 and it's time to get my wardrobe together! 😍
My style is very similar to yours except I like elements which are ‘edgy’ a lot, as well as classic and casual. I think this may be partly because my teen years were very influenced by the grunge scene and bands like Nirvana. I’m also a politically rebellious person, so I think that finds its way into how I dress. I really don’t like overly dramatic outfits though, just like you. I don’t really like formal situations in life very much, and I much prefer casual dress. I wonder how much of what we are drawn to is actually related to our personality, our personal experience and formative years!
Share what words you came up with to describe your personal style below! 🌟🌟🌟

Casual Cool with neutral/fall colors. Thanks for your videos, love them.
Aw thank you 😊
I really enjoyed this exercise but am not fully finished yet. Thanks for good inspiration!😊🙏🏻
I'm so glad to see someone else not like a lot of bright colors. I have always gravitated towards muted colors even in my home. Thought I was crazy.

I love the terms you came up with! I think mine would be feminine, classic casual, and I’m stealing relatable ;-)

You are my go to style UA-camr. We are so much alike, except that I do like color!
Aw thanks Jeannie! That’s so nice to hear. Color is great! You’re probably much better at styling it than me 💗
